Bricklink Castle sold via eBay for $349.99 BIN + shipping on buyer ($35). Appears to be freight forwarding to someone in China through Portland, OR. I had it listed at $389.99 + ship for a while and I was tired of sitting on it. I only bought one originally anyway and I have a bunch of Bricklink orders to place to continue building my amusement park. Also sold The Lego Story for $190.4 points

Where would $.98 come from at all? Minimum shipping for First Class is $2.66 using commercial pricing. Might be easier to create your own shipping table for first class packages.3 points

You may have a $5 certificate waiting for you on Ebay that expires the 24th. I couldn't find the original statement about why it was earned (maybe someone can help with that) but I think it had to do with selling any item in the past couple weeks worth $5 or more. Pair it with 10% bucks and now might be the time to check something small off your wanted list. I do remember that eligibility for earning the coupon ends tomorrow night.2 points

There’s more to the story. Unless things have changed since 2013. There is a roadmap, but it’s flexible. Disclosure Information not guaranteed, this is from an informal “chat” with a LEGO store manager 6 years ago. There are are two streams “originals” and licensed. Licensed sets are set by contract to a certain agreed run/qty, if the set sells better than expected then they usually (but not always) agree another run with the licensor. If a popular set does not have a new run agreed, then there’s the money for investors, assuming they bought in on that set. The Ferrari F40 (10248) comes to mind. The VW T1 is likely under a never ending license. VW really need good publicity, they’ll take whatever they can get! Probably the bug too - why did I buy so many? Original sets are an absolute wild car, there’s no limit other than what the market will bare, **likely** when sales drop below a certain number of units per month, per week or whatever formula is at play, that set gets scheduled for retirement. Then places, such as this, spread the rumor and we all go shopping... now sales have picked up again! Guess what production continues... Tower Bridge Tower Bridge Tower... There are more variables at play than this2 points

Well, I for one, am very happy to see something other than holiday BHz show up this year.2 points

I wouldn't mention leaving negative feedback, I believe eBay has a policy against trying to negotiate with feedback.2 points

Lol - won't be surprised if mine gets cancelled as well. but mine normally take a few hours to get cancelled For those that missed the deal, keep refreshing the page...inventory may come back when our orders get cancelled lol1 point

That being the case, you would only be liable for the shipping from the forwarder back to you. The actual forwarding company, or the buyer, would be liable for the international shipping back to the forwarder to forward back to you... which is a large reason you don't see a ton of returns from them. Just make sure on eBay you generate your own return label that goes directly from the address you sent it to, back to your address.1 point

I'll keep mine at that low price. Plan was to hold a while anyway.1 point

I find my BIGGEST issue w/ BL is the shipping unknown...after about 2 years of making attempts (shopping, clicking thru, seeing I don't have enough to justify shipping, giving up and just going back to ebay), I finally put in an order for 5 MFs. Some BL stores mainly sell MFs and small parts...I suggest that these sellers help out their buyers and simply post: something like: "up to 10 MFs shipped cross country for $5", "up to 20 MF...$10" etc. Help us give you our money1 point

Not true. Lego have a rolling roadmap of what retires and gets released and when. Problem is the roadmap gets reviewed and things change. Another problem is when stuff goes EOL but there is still so much stock to shift.1 point

You don't need a pro plan to be buy box eligible (this was phased out 4 years ago). You don't even need it to get ungated in categories anymore (phased out 18 months ago). A total newbie with an individual plan will win the buy box if they are FBA. Just be careful tinkering with any settings (bank deposit methods, changing plans, changing addresses, changing tax info etc) this time of year as there is a very good chance a bot will flag your account for review and you will be asked to send in docs, even if you have sent them in previously.1 point

yes polybags and the minifigure box sets are also considered extended lines. Those type items all come in separate from a regular set LEGO order. basically keychains, polys, promos, seasonals, magnets, and some other licensed stuff1 point
-
it's considered an extended lines set so yes it can come back just like a seasonal set. None of those ever have the exit dates as they have all pretty much shown up at later times. Like bday cakes that were OOS for almost 6 months and then returned for another 2 years. Or wedding set etc.1 point

no, and Im amazed how many ppl think that the production is over - just a few thoughts why its not and will be back: a) to design, create, advertise + all about any set, is not really cheap so you dont waste your effort at a set selling regularly around 10 USD ? b) its an iconic US landmark - LEGO had to know that before they even contemplated the idea to make it real. Now its sold within a first week or so and you think that they just slap each other's back "great job! - we sold 100.000 units and made a profit cca 500.000 USD.. and that is something.. !" c).. read the latest interim report for the first half year.. the earnings / profit is declining.. who in his sane mind in LEGO would not re-order a new production? Of sometihing that cost a lot to design and market.. does anybody really think that they do care about resellers / collectors? look at the US Capitol.. its been there like forever.. and there still must be thousands in US to buy it otherwise the production would stop..1 point

IMHO a negative feedback would be warranted in this case since your listing offers usps as an option . Can’t fault the buyer for the cost of shipping .1 point

Finally got into the selling game this month as I had to shift a Prime Day camera and there was a 50% final value fee offer. Sold the camera and started listing some things I knew were worthwhile. My first sale was a 21018 UN Headquarters for $80 which was nice because it was also the first set I "invested" in back in January of 2016, then a Dimensions Supergirl for $40, and a Benny and Sweet Mayhem Brickheadz pair for $70. Made a tidy profit on all those, but today I sold a 10811 Duplo Backhoe ($15 RRP) for $55 that I paid for with SYWR from Kmart back in 2017. TODAY I GOT MY MONEY FOR NOTHING AND MY BRICKS FOR FREE.1 point

A PM of the buyer's name would be great for adding to the ol' blocked list. That is pretty ridiculous.1 point

can't keep sand baseplates in stock on amazon at $24.99 fba. making me sick with greed. next round is going for $29.99. remember when these were $5 (or less) everywhere... good times. even more satisfying is that my wife thought i was a fool for loading up on these and repeatedly said so. now when we go out and have a nice dinner i reminder her how many baseplates worth it cost.1 point
