Out of all the things they mention about this set, I love this one the most. I wouldn't buy it without those4 points

I think someone bought a bunch of stuff at 35% off and returned them to the Lego Store for credit and then bought the 10030s and then cashed the points later.2 points

The Alpha and the Omega... The 10030 got me into the UCS series with regards to the LEGO investment/reselling business....the 75252 will get me out of it...2 points

not a fan of seeing the yellow and red technic pieces in the back view. Will swap that out for lbg2 points

I glanced over the list and it didn't take long to decide to pass. It's a great collection, but, for Amazon, it's all pretty old and will be slow to sell. At MSRP, there's not a lot of meat on the bone. Sent from my SM-G965U using Brickpicker Forum mobile app2 points

If I ever run into an Inventory issue, I will tell the buyer that I was short a certain part. I’ll always order the missing part from another vendor, or open a set to get the part. I will then ask if they’d like me to ship their order (minus the one part) while letting them know the part is on its way. To me this is crucial for what we do. Buyers don’t want refunds. They want their Lego. If you don’t wanna cause conflict, leave a positive feedback stating that the seller was short an item, but sent refund instead of missing part.1 point

Leave neutral reply that says, "Shipped Known Incomplete Order w/o my approval of missing pieces ok" (something like that) No this shouldn't be normal but some people are cheap AF as sellers When I mess up, it is minimum $3 refund + the cost of the piece and I make sure they still want the order before I ship. This should cover shipping from someone else or at least help with it. Edit: Also, I make sure I don't have it in my own collection. Or sadly, my kids collection (I make it up to them). Or check recent sets and I will buy a set from Amazon to part out just for 1 piece if needed. I've done it before and I'd do it again.1 point

I do as you do, I’ve even bought a $200 set to get the parts required, part out the rest doesn’t cost much other than time and more inventory, more profit. If I can’t get the part I will send a message alerting customer and ask what they would rather do. Including option to cancel order completely. my minimum refund is $1.00 So. What are his store terms? There are stores that state clearly “if I/we make a mistake we will refund for the missing part” (only). I never buy from them. given that you can get the missing part in your other order, me, I would go that route. my MO is to never close a door unless you really have to, save conflict for a real problem and “least favorite” the store1 point

I had 10030 a few years back, ended up selling it as i just couldn't really appreciate it. I know it's true to the source material, but i do like a splash of colour in my sets. New Falcon did a great job of adding in some colour. Why not add some dark bluish grey for greebling/shaded areas, or even some trans blues for windows/lights. For me this is just too much money for a %99 big grey triangle.1 point

Brickset says $269.99 but another site says $299.99. I always thought it was $200 but maybe that was the price I paid when I bought it from Craigslist years back. I don't recall any discounts on the set.1 point

This is beautiful. Price per piece can be very deceiving. I believe it goes by weight (although I could be wrong). I’ve been drooling for days waiting for this to be fully revealed, and now I’ll be drooling until release date.1 point

Selling season is approaching quickly. If not in a hurry, why not try and get the most of these sets during the shopping craze of the holidays? youd be suprised how much FB Market place is turning into a gate free Amazon. Grandmas, Moms, last minute shoppers not wanting to deal with lines in a store. I will probably try and get going earlier this year (beg. Nov) and turn over more product.1 point

I think 75252 looks better in every way compared to 10030. I wouldn't know any reason why someone might prefer 10030 over 75252.1 point

It's a bit bigger than the 10030, looks much more stable and more greebling. Winner in my book for my collection. I got lucky and sold my 10030 not long ago to pay for this.1 point

So this seller sets wrong 9,99€ price for 21041 Chinese Wall, ordered 6 for 86€ including shipping, yesterday.... Got a tracking number today... Thought they would cancel the order... Maybe a box of bricks on the way?1 point

In store was sold out yesterday, but they said their initial shipment was really low. They were unsure about getting a truck today because it was coming from Florida. I am confident in the Ghost returning but less so about lady liberty. We shall see, Lego did revert back to saying BHz WOULD be returning with a vengeance next year and should be included 3P licensed sets.1 point

it's considered an extended lines set so yes it can come back just like a seasonal set. None of those ever have the exit dates as they have all pretty much shown up at later times. Like bday cakes that were OOS for almost 6 months and then returned for another 2 years. Or wedding set etc.1 point

i have sold through all my Ewok Villages Minecraft Villages, GE, Town hall haunted house in last year. all FBA. knock on wood i have had zero scams on any of these large high value sets. i wouldn't even think about selling any large sets FBM because i'm a lazy pos and i like to get top fba dollar. plus every amazon scam begins with selling fbm. only stupid or desperate scammers are going to try and scam an expensive package that has been verfiably shipped out of an amazon warehouse. in my experience, if you are going to sell large sets fba, you have to imagine yourself as the customer and cater to that experience. u spend a ton of dough for an overpriced lego, you don't want a mangled smooshed box. at a minimum, you have to pre-package the set in its own separate new clean properly sized outer box to ensure that it doesn't get crushed by aggressive shipping personnel. and so that if it does gets sent back to FBA, its well protected. this requires more work and labeling and shipping material cost which you will make up on the back end by making sure to price higher than the fbm'ers to collect that premium. i put fba stickers on the set in the box and also on the outer box i send it in just in case returning customer sends it back without my perfectly set up protective outer box. i have not lost any sets to returns doing this. i have had 3 returns in the last 6 months selling large fba and all 3 were resellable w/o me having them recalled. unlike vast majority of sub $80 set returns which are just outright minifigure rip offs. maybe i'm just lucky or lazy and lucky. it's working. most people buying big sets on amazon fba are not scammers but people who believe that fba prime tagged products are somehow more legit or superior than those 3p fbm. i know its crap. thats just how people think. if its prime it must be better. at least that's what we are told to chant at the underground Jeff fan club meetings.1 point

The moment when you finalize a set of 7 BL orders to complete your project ...... and a few minutes later pull out a bag with an eBay purchase that contains most of the parts you just ordered ... *facepalm*1 point

How funny, you sound like me a year ago. I was in the exact same boat, re-discovering my old sets and wanting to piece them back together and sell them. My goal was also always to keep profits and put them back into Lego (whether it is for personal builds / or more investment sets). So far it has worked out quite nicely. I've definitely managed to keep these funds as separate play money for Lego and I like that aspect a lot. I ALSO went deep with used lots, and I would agree with you that option 2 sounds more exciting. You will find people on here though that HATE buying used lots and sorting them out for resale... and they have a valid point. It is tiring and can take a lot of time. Fast forward to me a year (and a half) later, I still have used lots to go through that I bought when I started. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret the purchases and there is still a lot of profit to be made... but they are slightly daunting to tackle. So keep that in mind when going the route of used lego... There will ALWAYS be another used lot you think is worth something and it takes discipline to pace yourself. It can add up quick and then finding the time to sort through it all can feel intimidating. I do a little bit of both currently, hit up the clearance sales and pick up sealed sets to sit on, and then I have my used lots to still piece out. I still love to inventory, sorting, building, taking good photos, and selling these used sets so I am content right now.... but it does take some serious patience at times, so I understand people who dread it. Advice would be, option 2 sounds more exciting to me and seems like thats where you are gravitating towards anyways..... just pace yourself haha.1 point
