I bought a used Venator Destroyer a while back and built it then took it apart to sell it and snapped several of the dark red tiles in the process... that color just seems extra brittle. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

I’m thinking it’s something to do with the molecular structure of the plastic with whatever they use to color the dark red or brown. I’ve never seen any other colors snap the way dark red does. Something is unique about them and I’m guessing it’s at the chemical structure level. I’ve had newer and older dark red snap on me, but colors like black or old dark grey....bricks at least 20 years old, have never broken once.

Purchased 7946 King's Castle on eBay for $81.20 shipped. Listing had only a picture of the box, but was listed as "used with all parts" Box arrived sealed, but I didn't trust it so I had to crack it open. Set is brand new. Now I go from "a great price for a complete set" to "All bags sealed... should I flip it, buy a used one, and run off with the profit?" A good, but always difficult question regarding something you wanted. Leaning towards keeping for the kids... but the market will eventually decide its fate.

This is why I only ship outside the US using eBay’s Global Shipping Program. As long as it gets to eBay in Kentucky, it doesn’t really matter what happens to it after that; it’s eBay’s problem from that point. I know that it’s more expensive for the buyer and definitely prices me out of potential sales, but it saves the risk and aggravation of worrying about postal delivery thousands of miles away from me.

Bring this back- First my weekend Score- Local Estate Sale showed this in their listing I walk into the sale and figure a few towers of bulk sorted- then I see this on the floor I asked the sale worker how much for everything, bundle deal. Needless to say their number was lower then mine. So I called for backup, got another van and got it all, except one plane I let some kid buy. There is Cafe Corner, Green Grocer, Grand Carousel, other modulars. Some custom MOCs, entire bin of baseplates. I only am 6 boxes in.
