  1. Hilarious eBay message exchange last night over $15 polybag sale: My bog standard message to buyers after a purchase sent it hundreds of times: Hi and thank you, I’ll drop this set off at my local post office tomorrow morning. Regards Was not expecting this reply: "What do you mean by your local post office?" Huh WTF? Hi, I will hand this over the counter at my local post office (Stafford Heights 4053) tomorrow morning. Regards Thinking that would be the end of it, Oh farck I get this reply and realise this going down hill fast: "I live in Viewbank, in Melbourne. You will have to send it to me. You advertised free delivery so you will have to send it to me." OK so she thinks she'll have to travel 1700kms (1000 miles) to collect this item from my post office. Hi, Apologies for any confusion. I will be sending this set to you tomorrow morning. My message was to let you know I will be posting your set to you tomorrow. I lodge my outgoing mail at a post office. I also wanted to convey that I post items as quickly as possible. Regards Finally Yes I was confused as I thought I had to pick it up from your post office. Thankyou for getting it sent to me asap I would add her to my BBL - but anyone who pays $15 for a Chima polybag is a highly valued buyer.

  2. Came across this on Reddit - so props/credit there: Sanctorum 76108 for $62.09 (38% off) - Amazon Prime Early Bird + the Scan feature 20% off extra coupon took 20% off for full maximum # to order, 3. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077TFTR8B/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Open the app, and search for "scan it" That will bring up the page explaining the offer. Then you can tap the search bar again and tap the camera icon. You'll have several options along the bottom, I used the "view in room" option and just picked a random chair. Once I did it a banner popped up at the bottom saying you've earned 20% off. Tap that to "clip" the coupon. Then you can add the set to your cart, check-out, and you should see the extra 20% off on your check-out page.

  9. Bought a 60110 Fire station from Amazon Prime Now on Sunday priced for $49, but used my $15 off first purchase coupon so total was $36 after tax. Just sold it today for $112. Bought a used Ninjago City and used Ninjago City Docks with boxes and instructions for $300. Also got a 70611 Ninjago Water Strider NIB for $10 local. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

  10. Simpler but more fair internationally. I think it has to do with offering discounts on international things like small discounts on Lego House admission and its easier on Lego to keep it round numbered like @cambridge02138 mentions. I'll gladly check boxes on the internet or click a link for points I can spend on more than just a % off discount.

  12. Because the new point system makes it easier for Lego to give away free points for non-purchase activities. For example, you could get 25 points by indicating your favorite theme(s) under the new system. The dollar value of the free 25 points under the new system is $0.1923. Under the old system, if Lego wants to give away $0.1923 worth of points, then it will have to give away 3.85 VIP points, hardly a "round number" The new system allows for giving away point for non-purchase activities using "round numbers" such as 25 pts under the new system instead of fractional pts under the old system.

  13. You may want to double check to make sure you don’t have any other emails on your account. I had $170 in points but when I checked today I had only 11,000 on the new system. Guess my wife’s email was under my account so they split the points. Had to call to get it back right.

  14. I ordered a Batpod a few hours ago. You’re right. It was a no-brainer for me since I had the points.

  15. The new point system is actually not as bad as you think. In fact, in terms of purchasing power in dollar amounts from purchases, the new system is the same as the old system. Let's take 75192 Millennium Falcon for example. Under the old system, you earn 800 points for this $800 purchase. The 800 points are worth $40 under the old system. Under the new system, you earn 5200 points for this $800 purchase. The 5200 points are worth $40 under the new system. I believe that the point system change is made so that Lego could award reduced-value "round-figure" points (e.g., 100, 200, 300, etc.) to members for activities other than purchases.

  16. These are one day only sales, so in all likelihood the prices will increase tomorrow.

  17. I'm almost surprised VIP points could sit around long enough to expire. Mine don't usually make it past the first $5. ?

  18. Pay attention to the - stupid - fact that you actually have to order something to be able to add the CODE you get when you redeem points for a Mustang Keychain. PLUS: you can only use ONE rewards code per order. So for getting the max of 5 keychains from VIP Rewards, you do in fact have to make 5 separate orders afterwards ...
