  1. Yes this is the protocol we follow: 1) We take a picture of the shipping box back to us and the shipping label. 2) We then take a pic of the packing slip. 3) We then take multiple pics of the damaged item. 4) We then put all of those pics into a single pdf file. 5) We then open a case for reimbursement and attach the pdf file. We have had 100% success with this. However we only open a handful of these claims every year and that may be why we always get paid. Amazon protocol is not to refund for customer damage, but they do make exceptions. We only do this on expensive items as it is time consuming and my best guess would be if you open many of these they will stonewall you. We save it for the $300 plus items and lego sets.

  2. Not everyone here is a reseller. Its a deals forum. That ninjago set is not horrible for 5 bucks even if you are a reseller, as someone who moves hundereds of K lego $ a year I would not instantly pass on that set at 50% off. Either way, I appreciate the post, sorry you didn't, I would rather he post it than be dissuaded.

  3. Bricklink or the parent company is/was in the process of being sold so there are sellers worried that BL as a whole will get forgotten about by the new ownership as it will be only a single piece of the conglomerate being purchased. The admin team is understaffed/overworked and can't get done what they should so they receive the backlash daily. Personally, my sales are up quite a bit from last year with only about a 25% increase in inventory. I know casting a wider search net helps, but I have been nearly overwhelmed at times with orders which while not a bad thing, I only have so much time this time of year. I think a lot of the hubbub is a lot over nothing, but that's what happens usually, you hear from the vocal minority.

  4. I generally ignore the drama. The site was sold and the only drama I remember about that was the IT guy was upset he was being replaced by a full team. Bricklink actually advertises now. With that, I have noticed an increased amount of zero or low feedback orders, which is great.

  6. If my math is correct 60195 Arctic Exploration Base comes out to 42% off after sale, extra 10%, and conversion rate. Not too shabby for the largest set in the sub-theme which also includes the wooly mammoth.

  8. No one is debating that these sets are really on sale. The fact is that the decent sets have been cleared out. There is a reason that the remaining sets have lasted months at B&N at 50% off. You're on a reseller forum...look at the aftermarket sales and sale prices for the sets that are still available. Be my guest and go deep on the sets still available though.

  9. The thank you note, references “pilot program”, personally I think the project is good, better than LEGO ideas, IMHO

  10. I think it's more akin to a Waitlist for a club you have no chance of getting in...the line outside to show how popular a venue is. technically I think a waitlist gets one if a previous order gets cancelled...which a this time seems like a no chance in hell

  13. Good catch! I haven’t seen very many of those around either. The Woolly Mammoth is a $30.00 figure by itself.

  16. sand baseplates moving now at $32.99 2x per order no less. getting down to the bottom of the stash. its a bittersweet realization that i could have just ordered sand baseplates by the 100 from amazon at msrp or slightly reduced and done far better than almost any other well thought out plan or multi-hour multi-state clearance jaunt even before factoring in time, gas, frustration and yes mildred - f'n tax free NH.
