I've had a love affair with Defender 90 soft tops that dates back 20+ years. My wife doesn't know it yet, but I am quietly saving for a Project Ranger built by ECD based in Kissimmee FL:4 points

I agree with this 100%, but sometimes there are sets that one might want to load up on over time. VC is one of those sets for me. Waiting for clearance you run the risk of missing out or of not acquiring your target number. I use these “regular” sales to fill those gaps, and then I cost average everything when the clearance hits.3 points

Seems like its Clearance or nobody cares. Regular Daily Deals are not as segsy2 points

A little birdie told me that that is the Bricklink CEO’s writing. He is Korean so I guess that confirms that. Thought you might appreciate having a special copy!2 points

Kohls cash is going on until the 23rd of June. 10 for every 50.00 spent. Harry Potter figures are $2.99 on Best Buy.2 points

I personally haven't had any issues with WM. I purchased multiple Destiny Bounties in separate orders last week which have all been received, and just placed two orders of 12 each on the velociraptors. No cancellation emails as of yet. Target on the other hand dropped the ban hammer on me during their last buy $50 get a $10 gift card deal. I'm still on double secret probation.2 points

No posts in this thread for three and a half days?! Let's get things fired up again... 75932 Velociraptor Chase online rollback for $26.99 at WM. 32% off, and lower than the in-store forever sale of $32.xx. This is the lowest I can recall on this WM exclusive. I'm sure some will find it lower when seasonal clearance hits, but $27 isn't too bad for the masses.2 points

So very true in so many ways. A few years ago when Lego had the Friends contest over the summer, my son was in the final group. While he won some free sets, the set he designed was practically copied by Lego and made into a set on their own the following season. They did this with a handful of them and while it didn't surprise me as that's just business, it's like a punch in the face to a child with big dreams.1 point

You should have gotten 3, and then you could have sold 1 to pay for the other 2.1 point

Around $205 shipped (although that is after I backed out a few higher priced pieces that I knew I had sitting around - BURP's, and a few Technic connectors, etc). The designer tried to use mostly pieces that were in the set (if purchasing a second set). I believe that 1000+ are avail in the Lowenstein set (and you would need to purchase the other 600 or so). So you could have spent the $200 for a second set, buy the extra pieces for around $65 or so (plus shipping), and still have 1,000 nice new castle pieces left over. The big decision factor would come down to what the value of a new/sealed Lowenstein set is/will be.1 point

In China, southern Taiwan, and South Korea, the nine is sometimes written with the loop to the right of the stick, resembling a capital P.1 point

TLG should have come out immediately once the idea is submitted or even once it reaches 10K fan votes and explain a similar idea is on the horizon. Such a sleazy pr move to say they already had it in the pipeline after all is said and done. If any idea's submission even closely resembles a project in R&D or NPD(NewProdcutDevelopement) then they need to not allow the submission to go any further. Coming out and saying 'Sorry Not Sorry' after reaching 10K votes is such a slap in the face, but then actually seeing your idea make it to production without any recognition would be a serious kick to the groin. Shame on TLG, shame. Be smarter thant that. Consider they ARE a 9Billion dollar company.1 point

Saw this in Store first hand and not only the Dino but the Gate are SHOCKINGLY large. This is a TON of Lego, beautifully crafted, with lots of clever nods to the first film, and for anyone saying they should have done the Welcome Center, you're nuts. That would cost Death Star money. Big fan of this set, 250 feels appropriate once you see it in person.1 point
