Some of my better random recent aftermarket purchases over the last month. Never got around to buying one when it was still in stock: Secret Marketplace was complete: The speed at which this one sold, caused this mom to jack up the BIN prices on the rest of her elves sets. Flipped for trippple Came with a complete Dragon Sanctuary, and a New in Box Emily Jones Baby Wind Dragon: Still working through the rest as time allows, but already up double so it's no hurry.2 points

Because the mail never stops. It just keeps coming and coming and coming. There’s never a letup, it’s relentless. Every day it piles up more and more, and you gotta get it out, but the more you get out, the more keeps coming in! And then the bar code reader breaks! And then it’s Publisher’s Clearinghouse Day!2 points

For some reason this picture really helped me see how big this set actually is haha. Not a fan of the price, but it’s a giant t-Rex and exclusive JP minis... so yeah, they’ll get my money Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app2 points

don't know if that is another pun or if you are serious. However we are referring to set 75227 Darth Vader Bust from Star Wars Celebration and Target.1 point

Finally found some Bastion's at $24, took my store forever to drop the price lower than the previous clearance price, also some Reinhardt sets for $24. I don't dabble much in reselling LEGO anymore, but couldn't pass on these. Stash some away and build some myself.1 point

^ I agree, but for me, they would have been better off creating a faux-modular Visitor Center that could connect to the previous Velociraptor Kitchen/Lab set. The VC could have had its back-side open and feature the Dining Room, Main Lobby, Dino Skeleton and Banner along with an exclusive T-Rex and 2x Velociraptors. You could have added the Explorer and some outside landscaping and have a footprint no bigger than the Pirate Roller Coaster. Then you create a Not-so-monstorous JP Entry Gate as another add on. They should have followed the HP style of releasing interchangeable sets that connect.1 point

wow...they are THAT smart/organized well my two shipments came in yesterday and today. First box; teh Fedex box was crushed on one side and ofcourse Lego packs the set with zero buffer on teh sides so the set box is likewise dented. Chatted w/ Lego customer service (LIsa) and set up teh return. She said I could keep the patch and GWP so i guess that was a win. 2nd box the fedex box was fine but the set got a dent in the middle of the top crease, clearly there was top of box pressure and the bubble wrap pushed against the GWP that pushed against the Lunar lander set. This one I will let go. SO I got a free set of patch and GWP. Exact same situation happened w/ the Ford Mustang...I sold the extra bummper sticker and keychain for $50 so I guess if LEgo keep using subpar shipping practices then I will keep getting my Lego purchases "subsidized". Anyone think this is shady?1 point

Alt listings on Amazon, and especially Amazon itself putting an alt listing as the first result in the "Add a Product" search results. Thanks to them I now have several HP Brickheadz stuck in a non-moving listing. Opened a case to have my inventory moved but they could only move a few "as an exception because the listings are not for identical products". Basically have to recall the remaining stock, hope and pray it gets sent back in a box and not in a bubble mailer, and then relist under the right listing. Or I could go and undercut the main listing to avoid the hassle .... *evil grin*1 point

Then just not release it at all. They have made more 911´s than X Wings in the last 5 years - fact.1 point

Yes, I will let it be for now. We have notified him multiple ways and will wait for him in case there is some sort of personal issues. I did not specify a time limit to claim prizes because I never really thought it would or could be an issue. If I re-raffle this off, it could end up being more trouble than it's worth. I just wanted to be honest with everyone and tell them the situation.1 point

HAha, saw that picture too and wondered who hacked the site on Shop at Home. The figures are amazing, will be buying those. I just have a really hard time dropping $250 for a large dino and gate. If this had been the visitor center or something a bit more iconic, we may have been onto something. This is a cool set, just not spending this kind of money on it.1 point

Yknow..since coming out of my cave...the one thing I never got was how big of a deal Minifigures were... In terms of nostalgia...I have been all about the set builds cuz I don;t remember ever caring much about the MFs...and lets be honest...back then there wasn't much to care about. But as I I became more AFOL and less nostalgic...I have come to appreciate what MF mean to LEGO and collectors....this series of MFs are a perfect example...so much subtle and over the top pop culture references and personal memories rolled up into one MF. I realize now that set builds will come and go, but dang it if the MFs are not what really defines a set or time period.1 point

This is essentially just a rehash of the retro green Porsche 911 Turbo from 75888, only now in white.1 point

Those vignettes are amazing. Think of it this way, they are building the gate and its going to have a bunch of wasted space in it. OR they could fill that wasted space with some cool little moments. It's a bonus, not a substitute for a full scene. While you obviously can't 'play' in them, they are an awesome call out to some of the best scenes from the film. It's Lego, so you can just take these pieces and build out your own scene. The bed for Ian Malcom to lay on with his shirt open is so hilarious. Iconic.1 point

$250? Wow, craziness. I'm out of the reselling game, but my kids are building a park, and the door would be great....but for the price, that's wild.1 point

Finally picked up the disney castle. Ive been wanting this since it came out but couldnt stomach the $450 (after tax) price in Canada. Got it used for 250 locally, supposedly a few pieces missing. Im gonna take it apart and gonna build from scratch. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk1 point

I I Haven't built much LEGO as the weathers been awesome. I'm not worried about Bricklink so far so good ,other sets will ship out soon. thanks for the info folks:) Here is a pic of my amusement park currently. Albeit little boring without the humorous/risque or downright UN P.C. mini figure posing that is removed for now. Just sharing, Little messy but Tough getting pics of my whole city, Its quite large and usually cluttered with build in place projects making it IMO less photogenic.1 point

I bought a lot of 5 used Toy Story sets for $60 off CL. after seeing the remakes of the minfigures, I figure folks are gonna want the older more realistic minfigures. It's a cherished cartoon series and appears that new movies will continue even after Andy has grown up.1 point

Just picked this up at the Lego Store. Great build! As far as the stickers go they are a lot like the reflective Carosel stickers with a “mirror finish” of which I’m not so sure that they could get the same effect otherwise, even if they could chrome it somehow which Lego won’t do anymore. So Many Gold metallic tiles though, I really think Lego put their best into this set. Impressive!...Most Impressive...1 point

Finished building the Lego Story set. Pretty neat build. There were a couple sections in the build where I think a professional designer would have done it a little better, but nothing that distracts from the final model. The 4 vignettes don't actually connect or hinge together, which is something I might try to mod. The instructions were pretty good, but since I make instructions for our sets I have a more critical eye. There were a couple steps where some subassemblies could have been easier. I think it comes from digital building vs physical building. Sometimes you need to physically put pieces together to see what order makes most sense. There were no missing parts, which is good. There are actually a fair amount of extra parts, but I'm not sure if that is intentional, or just variation in hand packing the sets.1 point

I actually like the unique element as it is both the classic standard 2x4 LEGO brick and with the axle holes a Technic one as well. I do side with KShine that a plain minifigure featuring the "60 years" logo printed across the back or front of the torso would have been nice to see (maybe even use the brick included here as a makeshift stand) seeing how the minifigure is synonymously symbolic of the brand yet at the same time, LEGO has always been about its blocks of building. The minifigures are that extra touch breathing life into an otherwise empty world of our own creativity. Many of us were introduced to the brand through the Galaxy Explorer or the very yellow original Castle. Others with generations of Technic, maybe even the short lived Model Team offshoot. No matter the case from then to now from box to polybag, the one thing every single LEGO set has is the brick ....and the exclusive element here is exactly that. No more, no less. Just with a little reminder of how far we have come.1 point
