  2. Lol. I’m gonna take a minute to tell you why I’m not your customer, because I didn’t have time to ask you the question I needed to know in order to be your customer. Just thought you’d like to know, money is not important to me, but my time is. Except when I’m correcting other people. I have plenty of time for that.

  4. I concur with this. I wasn't a fan initially either, but the show does improve. Also told myself "I'll wait for a good promo or at least double points to pick this set up." My patience lasted only as long as it took me to get off work and casually go see it in person at the store... whoops.

  6. I don't know how I missed this the first time around but the front of the box has an upside down Lego logo on the bottom so you can see the Upside Down right side up if you will. The box art is STUNNING!

  7. That 80’s commercial TLG created for this is probably the best video they’ve ever done.

  11. I do not watch the show but that ice cream girl on the video thumbnail looks like a young Uma Thurman

  12. I think what's causing the..."run from the room" reaction is exactly the show's selling point...its a time warp to 1983...taking parts from Goonies, E.T. and Stand by Me w/ a Nightmare on Elm Street kicker...once you get past the nostalgia factor (a time before internet & cell phones) it's getting to know the main characters and how they develop. After a few episodes the standard plot formula becomes obvious, but it's all good cheesy fun.

  15. Never seen the show but just picked up Seasons 1 and 2 on BluRay at Target for $10 each. Let the binge watching begin so I can better understand this set and, from the sounds of the feedback so far, buy it.

  17. my problem w/ CMF is the whole "new" descriptor because on ebay that means 3 or more different things: sealed and "guaranteed" to be the right figure based on smooshing (what if it isn't?) unsealed but somehow still "new" unsealed and like "new" ...and that's why clear images are important because new is no longer a clear description

  18. We discuss this every time they run the promo. YMMV. It's usually sub-$100 sets with some exceptions like 75188. And will usually stack with any other discount that's running like clearance or 30% off themes (e.g. IIRC, Kylo Ren's Tie Fighters were 30% off + 20% off a couple weeks after release in '17.)

  19. Got a Barnes and Noble mailer today saying members get increased to 20% off from 16th - 19th. Mailer does say it excludes Lego though. However I can’t remember if this is the one where there has been success in the past? I thought I remember this working on Lego before but maybe I’m getting confused with another promotion like the BOGO 50%. I’m still going to try tomorrow. 20. We have had a few questions about entering the LEGO raffle from Europe and other parts of the world...YES..YOU CAN! As long as you have a valid shipping address and you don't usually have issues receiving packages via UPS or Fed Ex or similar, you can enter. I have shipped to Belgium, Canada , United Kingdom, and Singapore. I will also accept PayPal payments to my personal account and buy tickets for you if you don't want to use a credit card. ONE WEEK LEFT and we are at $10,000.00. Thanks for the support.

  21. ...which means it's very likely the commercial was actually NOT done by TLG itself (and more likely by the Netflix production team of the series instead)...

  22. Amazing that you could sell it for, what, about $350 each or so (trying to determine how you'd generate 90-100% return on a $160 buy-in)! I guess there are a lot of informed buyers out there. Never ceases to amaze me!!!!
