Its all good. I had no ill will, I appreciated that were willing to help. It's just not as easy as everyone thinks when you are dealing with ALL sets from ALL time. eBay and the parter-outers kill me and the morons that don't know the difference between used and new is the largest part of the issue. I was just trying to get the point across in that screenshot that 98% of would need to be scratched, so no that isn't a good way to do it and eBay would shut you down anyhow. I have been having a lot of fun reworking the site. Getting rid of tons of useless crap and bringing in information that is useful to todays LEGO investor. The updated site will have a home page that you will actually give a crap about and be there to help you. Updated price guide with new information and trying my best to rework the brickfolio to something that is more usable. The rest will disappear and I will bring certain current reports back or new reports in over time. Its an all new Bootstrap 4 template that will work nice on mobile and hopefully it can help convert into an app later.2 points

75881 with the wife. got this at a nice discount and popped the seals last night. Only really wanted the gt40 so she built the GT. Perfect how both cars have their own instruction booklet. Nice build, and nice addition to the collection, love those GT40 lines and front end. I need to pull more Lego out of storage and get the modulars built, but here is the new display case, first purchase with Lego profits! Picked it up from a closing funeral home for $100, stayed in the garage while I touched up the stain and deep cleaned, now looks like new. From West Michigan furniture company, dated 1902! Love buying this type of furniture rather than overpriced cheap crap sold in the stores these days. This Curio will eventually be in our bedroom once I find the right size curio for the living room. Better pic of the GT40 later. No stickers and took out the grey strip and opted for a midnight blackout version.2 points

https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=https://www.stonewars.de/&prev=search Just saw this from German site. The site had some details and went as far as noting it'sjust a matter of the set being (initially) exclusive or not. so much more substantial than a rumor or hearsay. No pics but the set is supposed to be a BHz of the Statue of Liberty Clearly BHz is not dead (as if we needed anymore evidence)...and I seriously don't know if that's good or bad for the appreciation potential of past sets. It seems to me that LEGO is being much more selective in terms of new BHz sets..like they tried the shotgun approach (w/ BHz landing in every discount retailer shelves) and now it seems to be more of a sniper shot approach.1 point

It was online when I posted it. I didn't buy any, so I'm not sure what kind of quantities they had. But, it was also the same price in my local store if yours has any in stock.1 point

RIP TRU. From what I understand Lego wanted more outlets since TRU closed. It was the end of a lot of PM/ TRUTH buying for me but opened up other doors. I wonder is there a list somewhere of the new outlets? Sent from my moto g(6) using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

There is Jeff Mack and Ed Mack. They are two different people. I'm getting old too, and I reflect what Ed said about having a shorter fuse, and I work with too many people on a daily basis whom fail to read what is in front of them. A person whom has 6 posts total, is this Tabby having some fun with a new account? That is about the level of how much I care to read your posts at the moment.... low.1 point

Lots of belly aching going on here towards people who are providing a service for free. Crooked logs also make straight fires.1 point

It’s rounding up to the next whole number on any fractions for the bonus. I ended up with 103 bonus tickets when 100 would’ve been the unrounded number.1 point

The Technics theme doesn't perform very well, but if you're a fan then you can probably make enough to take the edge off of an expensive hobby. Sets are hit or miss. For example, check out the performance of 41999 vs 9398. The first was a limited edition version of the 2nd, but you wouldn't necessarily know it by the current prices. The old Ferrari sets did well, but the collecting game has changed a lot since then and I don't expect the Porsche or Bugatti sets to perform similarly (longer production time + more hoarding = lower prices down the road). Construction vehicles have been steady sellers, but buy-in is a key point to winning---so be cautious of any hype. The Bucket Excavator 42055 was/is amazing, and well received when it came out. But discounts were rare and now, 6 mos after retirement, it can still be found close to MSRP. By contrast, the 42053 Excavator was commonly available at 20-30% off (and very briefly at 50% off) here in the US and is now selling for ~2x MSRP. Parts do a bit better, but it takes more work. Motors and power functions parts are steady sellers, and the common black friction pins are a top selling part on bricklink. Technic parts aren't in high demand in general, though, which makes them easier to pick up at a discount. One strategy for sourcing parts is to keep your eye open for sets from other themes that are on clearance. Chima and Ultra Agents were both great for this---buy at clearance, sell off the minifigs and system bricks, and keep the technic beams+gears+etc for building. A few Lego Movie 2 sets like MetalBeard's Trike 70834 is a current example---or will be in 9-12 months when it goes on clearance. Another place to watch is 2nd-hand stores, like goodwill or savers here in the US. I picked up a technic car last week at 1/2 off the price of new. A decent deal by itself, but it also held a power functions motor and battery pack, which will bump up the resale value considerably when I go to resell it. Good luck, and happy building!1 point

Alright everyone, one month until the close of this thing. I'll break the ice on adding some sweeteners on top of these amazing prizes. I will offer up this - for each raffle winner that has donated at least $100 between ticket purchases and regular donations (in any combination), I will add their choice of any one of the following options to their prize (all are new sealed): - 10259 Winter Village Station - 40289 Mini Harry Potter Diagon Alley - 41624 AND 41625 Mickey and Minnie Brickheadz - 41317 Friends Catamaran - 40334 Mini Avengers Tower - 75227 Vader Bust If the total money raised tops last year's total (just over $40k), I'll give this bonus to all raffle winners, regardless of how much they donated. Get out there and get some tickets!1 point

Hidden Site implies a single location, a single thing, or in LEGO sense a single set. Hidden Side sounds more like an alternate layer of reality, which seems more fitting, and can apply to a theme of sets.1 point
