That loser hit me up a few weeks ago for two different City sets totaling almost $300. Luckily he bought on a Friday so both purchases were flagged and caught before I shipped anything. I did have to spend approximately three hours on the phone with eBay and PayPal to sort it out though. I've had a few other chargebacks in the past where I've already shipped the package to the confirmed PayPal address. In every instance seller protection kicked in and I was reimbursed once the investigation was completed. Funds were put on hold while they were investigating. These situations are a pain in the arse, but unfortunately they come with the reselling gig.4 points

It’s not a combo. The expansion which makes up the back part of the castle consists of about 1500 parts. If you purchase a second castle set, you will have about 1000 of those parts. The remaining ~500 parts needed for the expansion will need to be purchased elsewhere like BrickLink. The designer provided a link to the site he plans to upload the instructions to for the expansion set on the comments section of the BL castle page. He also provided link for the parts list of the ~500 parts needed for the expansion set but not included in the castle set.1 point

Are you factoring in PayPal Fees? Rough, rough percentage on PayPal is 3.13% of total sale - PayPal normally makes this a tad more. Unless you didn't use PayPal? That would knock down $19.03 from your profit. Still a nice profit though!1 point

https://brickset.com/article/42814/lego-tower-mobile-game-announced The most awesome LEGO idle simulation mobile game LEGO Tower is on its way! LEGO has joined forces with NimbleBit, creators of the classic mobile game Tiny Tower to craft a brand new mobile experience. NimbleBit has a long track record of building lovable mobile worlds for their players, and both companies are excited to be taking the Tiny Tower formula to new heights inside the world of LEGO. “Having the opportunity to build upon one of our signature games inside the world LEGO is a dream come true for us.” says David Marsh, co-founder of NimbleBit. “The building blocks of LEGO are a complete creative match for our style of games. It’s sparked a lot of the feelings of creativity and joy we’ve experienced ourselves while playing with LEGO since we were young.” LEGO Tower gives players the ability to build and operate their own LEGO Tower. Construct a wide range of apartments and businesses for your Minifigure residents to live, work and play in. Visit your friends’ towers and trade items to help them build. Collect hundreds of unique Minifigure pieces and discover hidden characters. Build your dream LEGO Tower to new heights, the sky's the limit! Speaking of building, visit LEGO Ideas on the March 26th to participate in the LEGO Tower building challenge. Among the other prizes, winners will get their creation featured in the game!1 point

Please critique this transaction (which on face values seems pretty good) from start to shipped as I want to learn and improve: CL transaction, picked up 3 built modulars (Palace Cinema, Detective Office, & Old Fishing Store (not technically a modular, I know)) for $75 ea. ($225 total) Condition: minor dust but like new and complete w/ booklets and original boxes in excellent condition. After storing it for 2 months (not sure what i wanted to do) I Priced on ebay $199, $210, $220 all shipped One buyer (100% rating) wants all 3 for $600 shipped...I looked into shipping (coast to coast) and negotiated $610 (He does not want the original boxes). Spent 3 hours breaking down and bagging the sets and packing. Packaged re-use large-size bubble wrap and fixed price Priority Mail Large boxes ($17.50 ea); before you cringe at the priority mail boxes...since weight was not an issue I used a 2nd priority box to reinforce the box so all sides essentially double walled. Taped up like a franchise running-back's ankles So here's the math: $610 - fees = $549 $549 - shipping ($53) = $496 $496 - buy-in ($225) = $271 So profit of about $271 or 120% Did I miss anything and what could I have done better? Also when faced w/ the facts above would you consider it a good transaction? Thanks in advance1 point

From the AFOL FAQ Will sets be available for purchase after the pre-order phase? It depends. If a set sells out completely during crowdfunding, it would not be available during the sales period (April 15 through June). Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum1 point

I like limited and Exclusive!!! Red card at the ready... wait, are they gluten free? ?? The brickheadz are cooler IMO but these are still Vader. we'll see how much longer we can all profit off this guy.1 point

Also being missed in the comparison is the $0.12 per piece vs $0.08 per piece. You are just getting less overall bricks at the expense of Disney License, and TLG could have increased the perceived value by keeping the minifugs exclusive. @CathyVT, you cant forget this is an invensting site. Looking strictly through a collector lens will show your bias.1 point

IDK...I would think a large proportion of the market (those that collect Disney...NOT Lego) for the Steamboat set has been removed just by the release of the equivalent CMF...the boat itself is OK...in a duplo kind of way...but doesn't jump of the page as a cool set in itself (IMO). That said...the example provided are not equivalent because collectors of Rex are far fewer than collectors of Disney...the prolific nature of CMFs makes the minifigures somewhat everywhere...and the uniqueness and nostalgic shine rubs off really quick when something like that happens....which is the biggest selling point of the Steamboat set. For me this set went from a Probably get one at RRP w/ promos to must wait till at LEAST 30% off and then still a maybe.1 point

Scrooge McDuck is my spirit cartoon character. Finally I can have him in LEGO form. Too bad Iago did not come with Jafar. At least we get the cartoon version of Jafar. How do I know it is the cartoon version? The LEGO minifig (with the half smirk) looks more menacing than the Jafar in the live action Aladdin trailer The Mickey&Minnie's accessories in Steamboat Willie are in silver. It looks like the CMF versions are strictly black and white.1 point

Kasseby has more depth than Ribba. I know I had to manipulate the figs a bit especially if they are a bit larger like the tails of the Shark Suit guy or figs with tails. Kasseby door would make swapping out figs much easier. Ribba can still technically hold more figs overall if you want to go for count over all. See this vid on how the guy fit 135 figs into Ribba 50x50cm.1 point
