  2. 4 from 3. Not a bad deal! Though I’d argue that box art looks better than real life. Still, Was fun to do with my son.

  3. Sold my last Ewok Village the other day on BL. My days of selling Star Wars UCS are just about over. Have some Slave I and a couple TIE, and that's it. Unless they come out with something amazing and original, I don't see myself buying another one to hold. Cloud City was supposed to be that set, but the giant egg laid on that one was very disappointing. By the sounds of it, the next few will be more remakes, so more buying one and done by the looks of it.

  4. I like that idea. I'd also go for a variant set with a sepia tone - perhaps it could come with one of those fancy holographic stickers that are all the rage these days.

  5. Hmmm.... Tell me more of this Chima of which you speak.? . O.K. it might not work on me individually. but look were talking about it and someone who missed it may just love that crud. might try bringing it up in a different Lego support group forum? Are those the biggest losers to date? also the freaking tumbler looks great! I can see why mistakes are easy to make in this racket?

  6. Black and White is the key to this set being collectible at all really. In color is likens it to Duplo as earlier stated. that being said I'm not sure anyone mentioned them wanting it in color. ?

  8. Why does everyone want this in color? The original was in black and white and I think keeping with that adds a unique charm to this set.

  9. The avid collector, not kids, are who this is being marketed to.

  10. The box art on the back confirms that that is the case.

  11. This set is a winner. I'm in for a few dozen once we see the standard 35-40% discount that most Ideas sets usually receive at one point or another. Comparing this to Adventure Time or Exo Suit is ridiculous. Totally different fan bases. I'd be willing to bet that this set outperforms The Flintstones as well.

  12. Such an oddly artsy nostalgia trip back to both Disney and Fabuland here. I can understand somewhat the "another Disney related product" groan and yet here is an expected idea needing to be done for a long while I feel. Whether the reason is pure or puerile, everyone knows about Steamboat Willie even if they never watched the original short from start to finish. I would agree Pete should have been included alongside Mickey & Minnie; however I doth wonder which way LEGO would have designed him considering his first design is well away from how he is presently. My only negligible critique being the boat build is shorter than it was in the cartoon but again a rather trivial note honestly. Now if anyone wants to MOC the entire ship to scale, I would be impressed. Since I see no other time better, here is the historical animation.

  17. I smooshed the entire Lego 2 minifigure series over the past three days from a new box untouched box I found at Kohls for my personal collection with no duplicates. This is the easiest series I have ever smooshed and saved money by using $10 Kohls cash. The following minifigures are double bagged: Crayon, Singer with record and microphone, Swamp Guy, Kitty guitar player with microphone and Dorothy, for five total. Smooshing tips: Lord Business (golf club) Wild Style Bandit (binocular, helmet) Abraham Lincoln (hat) Crayon (double bag, crayon) Emmett (hair, coffee) Watermelon (head piece) Benny (helmet, tool box) Giraffe (giraffe head) Hippie Girl (cat) Singer with record and microphone (double bag, microphone, record) Wild Style singer (hair piece) Swamp Guy (double bag, whip) Singer with microphone and cassette tile (double bag, skirt) Jurassic guy? (dinosaur) Kitty guitar player with microphone (guitar) Dorothy (double bag, rubber hair) Cowardly Lion (head piece with ears) Scarecrow (hat), Tin Man (helmet with small round circle piece, axe) Unikitty (body piece like a small bridge)

  18. Maybe he is just a collector looking for specific figs to complete his collection? Not everybody is like us and view Lego as just a commodity. I know, weird right?!

  21. As I mentioned before, the whole debate about past or future "winners" and "losers" becomes completely random and pointless if everybody bases his assessment on his personal (done or anticipated) buy-in... ...To be illustrated by this fictional example: "I bought all of my Jack Stone sets with VIP points only. And since I got them for free, I was able to sell everything with a good profit. So for me Jack Stone is a real winner theme!" - I hope you get my point.
