Why does everyone want this in color? The original was in black and white and I think keeping with that adds a unique charm to this set.

The avid collector, not kids, are who this is being marketed to.

Given the popularity of Disney in general, anyone that believes, or are foolish enough to think, this set will not do well in the long term are fooling themselves. It could also be they are trying to get others not to buy so they hoard it and hope others do not. I showed my children the pictures of this set and aside from a Steamboat Willie Hallmark ornament I bought them last year they immediately recognized Mickey and Minnie and want the set. This set will do well and I will definitely be stocking up slowly over time.

This set is a winner. I'm in for a few dozen once we see the standard 35-40% discount that most Ideas sets usually receive at one point or another. Comparing this to Adventure Time or Exo Suit is ridiculous. Totally different fan bases. I'd be willing to bet that this set outperforms The Flintstones as well.

I can tell you what I didn't sell today.... as I look to be the target of an attempted sting operation Listed hundreds of sets on Facebook from the last Walmart wave that I don't have a ton of confidence in for long term holds. Had a few buyers ding me about everything, but I wouldn't provide them the deal they wanted. Another potential buyer dinged me and seemed fine to take my asking price... like overly eager to get the items. After a bit of chit chat with him responding nearly instantaneously to each of my comments, I took a look at his profile. His occupation? Listed as "Detective" at the local police department. After reading that I messaged him that I can give him the physical receipts to the items so he can have them for tax purposes if he wanted them... in which he suddenly lost interest. I found it quite interesting.

Black Friday miracles abound. Sold my first Exo-suit on Amazon Canada and will even make $10 off the thing after fees and shipping. I have 7 left. Bought them and a few more at a discount and had been slowly getting rid of them as birthday present and charity donations over the years but now one has sold and I raised the price $10. They said I was mad, mad I yells ya......

Such an oddly artsy nostalgia trip back to both Disney and Fabuland here. I can understand somewhat the "another Disney related product" groan and yet here is an expected idea needing to be done for a long while I feel. Whether the reason is pure or puerile, everyone knows about Steamboat Willie even if they never watched the original short from start to finish. I would agree Pete should have been included alongside Mickey & Minnie; however I doth wonder which way LEGO would have designed him considering his first design is well away from how he is presently. My only negligible critique being the boat build is shorter than it was in the cartoon but again a rather trivial note honestly. Now if anyone wants to MOC the entire ship to scale, I would be impressed. Since I see no other time better, here is the historical animation.

I don't think it's fair to put this in the same category as Adventure Time. Am I interested in the set? No. Are there rabid Disney/Mickey fans who will enjoy the novelty of this set? Absolutely. Maybe these will get sent out in shipping boxes that use Adventure Time sets instead of air packets for cushioning.
