  1. Stopped at my local Walmart this afternoon for some foodstuff. My legs went on autopilot for the LEGO section first thing. I've been so disappointed with the Walmarts around me - not a single sale other than a couple of Jurassic World T-Rex sets @ 50% off. So I almost didn't continue on my way. But, why not, right? At this Walmart the LEGO sets have no prices on the box nor are they near a correct tag on the shelf, so I have to scan every set. Everything was around MSRP - 15% off at best, including x-wings, Arctic sets, etc. As I was walking away, I noticed a lonely Sandcrawler on a non-LEGO shelf next to the LEGO shelves. It took me a second or two to debate if it was worth scanning. I was shocked and delighted when it scanned for $69. It's mine now.

  2. Very much this. When I first started selling on Amazon..I sold non Lego items from an approved manufacturer plus some retail arbitrage on stuff that was not gated at the time. If I was outside looking in I'd be looking to build up some metrics before applying for the Lego brand. Then once you're in if you do get in, focus on not screwing it up for yourself and others which is pretty easy to do. Have there been folks ungated? Yes...no...maybe..but they're not gonna come post in here and give you a step for step guide. That's just adding to the competition and placing more scrutiny to the sellers already there. Do your own research..find your own path, and don't get left behind when new selling venues open. Lot of folks on BP selling for years before the gate...and they never bothered to sell on Amazon.

  10. I lied. Picked up another 174 Guggenheims bringing the total to 364. Also picked up 20 more Arc de Triumphes as well. I've officially tapped out of buying anything that retired from 2018. It was a good run. Q4 is almost six months away!

  11. No double the bley bricks, arches, and dark bley slopes will be useful. Regardless, I say get it! Helms Deep is awesome. Shameless plug:

  13. I really appreciate the effort here by Bricklink to enable more people to acquire some damn cool sets. I for one was and is willing to pay a premium for some unique builds that LEGO will never release.

  14. We built the 7166 Imperial Shuttle (circa 2001) which we got in a bulk lot a while back but never built or sold. This is my oldest SW build to date, and there were definitely lots of build technique differences between this and the newer shuttle builds. Some similarities as well...especially on the wings. 16. He's quite active under the comment thread for his castle:https://studio.bricklink.com/v2/build/afoldesigner_winner_model.page?id=62780 He's promised to share his MOC expansion instructions on Rebrickable once he's finished: His current page: https://rebrickable.com/users/Raziel_Regulus/mocs/ Finally, here's a recent comment that may shed some light on your questions about the bricks: "I do what I can, but the thing with obtainablility is that it is a very relative term. The price for a specific piece can practically change drastically overnight, so I decided to focus more on Löwenstein Castle's partslist for reference. Currently the expansion has about 1500 pieces, about 1000 of which can be found in the original set. For the remaining parts I try to use ones not too specific, so that you can either get them from other LEGO themes or you already have them in your collection (the hut's red timber framing is an example for that). Another thing: The prices for some of the more useful elements for castles are partly ridiculous because of this "castle drought", like the rock pieces and arches, so I really would recommend considering to get a second Löwenstein if you plan to expand the set in any way really, unless you already have a big castle collection."
