One Costco near me has 60220 City Garbage Truck; 10712 Classic Bricks & Gears; and 70821 TLM2 Emmet and Benny's 'Build and Fix' Workshop! each for $14.99 or 25% off the RRP. I just bought the hotdog and soda.5 points

We built the 7166 Imperial Shuttle (circa 2001) which we got in a bulk lot a while back but never built or sold. This is my oldest SW build to date, and there were definitely lots of build technique differences between this and the newer shuttle builds. Some similarities as well...especially on the wings. He's quite active under the comment thread for his castle:https://studio.bricklink.com/v2/build/afoldesigner_winner_model.page?id=62780 He's promised to share his MOC expansion instructions on Rebrickable once he's finished: His current page: https://rebrickable.com/users/Raziel_Regulus/mocs/ Finally, here's a recent comment that may shed some light on your questions about the bricks: "I do what I can, but the thing with obtainablility is that it is a very relative term. The price for a specific piece can practically change drastically overnight, so I decided to focus more on Löwenstein Castle's partslist for reference. Currently the expansion has about 1500 pieces, about 1000 of which can be found in the original set. For the remaining parts I try to use ones not too specific, so that you can either get them from other LEGO themes or you already have them in your collection (the hut's red timber framing is an example for that). Another thing: The prices for some of the more useful elements for castles are partly ridiculous because of this "castle drought", like the rock pieces and arches, so I really would recommend considering to get a second Löwenstein if you plan to expand the set in any way really, unless you already have a big castle collection."3 points

Since they asked, you can cancel the transaction and state the reason as Buyer requested - and then make sure to void the label (to get that $ back).2 points

Bricklink's AFOL Designer Program finalists have been selected and are now available for pre-order. Sets meeting sales goal would be produced and shipped out by May 2019. Being a castle/historical builds fan I was so happy to see a castle set, the Löwenstein Castle, being on the list! The castle looks fantastic to me. The price is a little steep, but as of this writing is already 47% funded, so chance of it becoming a reality is extremely high. https://www.bricklink.com/v3/crowdproject/view_design.page?id=62780 Here are the rest of the finalists: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/crowdproject/main.page1 point

I would have more Lego ! I try not to rock the boat for the wrong reasons. I'm still newer to that Bricklink site so I wonder if lets say everyone who has the castle tries to make expansion will there be enough of those pieces on the market and will the price for those get steep?1 point

Yes, He plans on selling the instructions. I agree, and wish that it was sold as a complete set (not just the instructions).1 point

I've seen the Saturn V discounted 30% and more offerred widely (I think I saw $89 on Amazon). I didn't experience it, but there may have been an initial shortage shortly after its release (so got on everyone's radar real quick), so when it was re-stocked the hoard did their thing and then many probably double-downed on their position during the holiday sales . there's a lot of Afol appeal for this set so I think it will stay popular, but there are a lot of folks hoarding these...and the box is big and heavy which makes shipping down the road a hassle. I could see these jump a bit post retirement, but then Amazon sellers may unload a few pallets at RRP keeping prices down for awhile. but for personal build...it's possibly a top 10 set worth building...I used the familybuild day to teach my son about real space travel...and he'll never forget the year 19691 point

As cool as that castle set is I don't see people willing to drop $3-400 on it in the aftermarket. $200 is already kind of steap.1 point

I hope so too, echoing alpinemaps, given the apparent success so far, I think there's a good chance.1 point

It looks like 10 of 16 sets are funded as of tonight. There's a little less than 2 months to go. Three others are basically 2/3rds of the way there. I'd call it a success, so far. I hope they can get everything out without a glitch so we can definitely call this a success. I'd love to see them run this program 1-2x a year. And hopefully, if this one is successful, it will attract some other people, so that the competition is even better, and the quality even better. Hope there's another one so you can submit @donbee1 point

Slightly over a year ago I posted this: After this interaction he moved off to a different route and I stopped seeing him. About five months ago I bought my first house (yay me!). Moved about 10 miles away in the same town. Today, I swung by my house during lunch to finish up a shipment and grab the 40 boxes scheduled for delivery. As I'm loading my truck... THE SAME UPS GUY PULLS UP ?? He doesn't say anything to me (like usual after the incident). So I broke the ice by saying, "Are you stalking me?" His dead pan face immediately turned into one of rage.1 point

It happens. Part of the new adjustments program they started about a year ago. I called on the very first one. Wasted about 15 min and never heard back from them. Probably got about a dozen over the year. More in my favor then not so basically a wash and would just move on. They are usually never even close so just assume another package is partially on the scale whenever they read them. Their systems are not as sophisticated as UPS at this point.0 points

Anyone ever have USPS tell Paypal that you underpaid on shipping? I sent a package that was small pieces so 4 oz, probably 1 oz total, and they are claiming it was 12 oz. wtf is that? It's only $3 more but still, whomever put their hand on the scale is trying to rob people. I am hoping a quick trip to my local PO will solve the issue as they see me everyday and, I would think, know that my weighing is superb. Just a dumb thing to have to deal with especially when the weights are so vastly different.0 points
