The intersection of the AFOL and Furry communities is more pronounced than I previously thought. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum5 points

Bagged a very nice Harry Potter haul off eBay that arrived this weekend. Every set from the 2010 + 2011 waves apart from the promos, all in one jumbled lot. I paid about £350, and it comes with all instructions and all minifigures (checked). I estimate it's probably worth about £900, so a good buy! The same day that arrived, I also got these: A Town Hall (10224) and Detective's Office (10246). They were shipped built (strangely) but that means I can see that barring a possible couple of very minor pieces they are complete. No instructions but I paid £200 for both (eBay again), so can't complain! Sorry for the photo quality, my phone refused to focus properly.4 points

Not me, but for me. My 70 year old mother was at a Walmart Marketplace yesterday, and found 21 Harry Potter minifigs on clearance....for 20 cents each!4 points

I felt the same way; excellent build techniques, the way the whole thing fit together was pretty amazing. There were a couple of places during bag 4 or 5 where sections came apart because I pushed too hard. Once the model is complete, it is quite sturdy. I love the customization of this set. It really hits at the heart of hot rodding.3 points

I ordered online yesterday... doorbell at my front door at 10:00 AM today. That is THE fastest I've ever received something from Shop @ Home. Way to go logistics, major win!2 points

The LEGO store I was at yesterday had what looked like about 40-50 keychains and at least a 100 bumper stickers (they opened the package for mine). The keychain is heavier than I expected. It's definitely not cheep but a quality piece. I'm a road racer at heart, hence my tag name, so my Mustang received full spoilers and zoomies but no supercharger or rear lift. I considered modifying the hood to make it cowl induction but decided to keep the stock hood scoop for now. As a testimony to how wide-spread I think appeal will be for this set; my wife told me this morning, "I'll need to move some candles to make room to display your car." lol... well done LEGO.2 points

Hello everyone, I am new here, so I'll start with a bit of backstory. Back in the day, I was a ravenous LEGO fan, and now I am starting to resurrect all the sets I've kept to give to my daughter. One that's really too big to give her is a large store display for Knights Kingdom from the now defunct Toys 'R Us. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it, maybe a rarity level or even a price. I can obviously look at each set individually, but I couldn't find a similar store display for Knight's Kingdom or even one with a similar display box style (with the large lego block theme). Its completely intact, and even still plays all the back-story about this genre when you press the button. I took some of the cardboard, plastic and plexiglass panels off to start a mild cleaning, but they all are there and snap right back together, even the light works. Includes sets: 65527, 8777, 8781, 8779 and 8730. It's about 4'l x 16"d x 18"t. I'd love to get some opinions on it! Thanks!1 point

I was just at the store yesterday. While they ran out of the set, they had some keychains and a large stack of bumper stickers behind the counter. (Note: LEGO Shop at Home US shows keychain is still available.)1 point

That's the place, I think Romeoville, Illinois? I'm in Eastern Iowa. I'm used to 2nd or 3rd day but never what felt like overnight. The box wasn't perfect but I planned to build one anyway so I cut those seals immediately. It's been a very interest build so far. There's some great lego math that makes an angled technic assembly connect and line up almost perfectly with a light gray 1x2 slope placed earlier, my OCD found that pleasing. There's several spots in the instructions where they have examples of how NOT to do it, so there's particularity throughout. Just finished bag 4. The doors have a cool double hinge construction. Great build so far!1 point

I guess I’m going to say Brickheadz now, since I’ve managed to obtain every single retail set.1 point

This is a new one for me. Buyer wants to return an item I sold. I told them to send me a return request. I added that I will be checking to make sure that everything I sent is returned to me. Here is an excerpt of their reply “I am trying to be patient as well. I expect the same honesty from others that I practice. My reputation is everything and my accounting before God on judgement. If you would like references we can start with the Convent of Incarnate Word.”0 points
