Staked out a certain Walmart for MONTHS, as they supposedly had 8 Mos Eisley Cantinas that went through the clearance cycle. Yet they were never on shelves and never had a shelf location. Down from 40 to 32 to 25 to 17 and finally to 7. But they never existed, until today. I had finally given up on checking to see if they ever materialized, but I had to stop by today for a completely unrelated visit. Snagged 7 of them for $7 bucks each. And found a JW dino poly for $1, and a SW Advent for $7, some friends ski chalet for $9, and just for good measure finally got the Destiny's Bounty that was 159 forever at 79 in a TERRIBLE looking box, but the seals are good and its for my son to open and build. HELLOVA good clearance haul for a guy who wasn't shopping for clearance. But then,,,,,aren't we always?11 points

Seller counts are decreasing. There's now about 130 sellers down from a high of 200. Hopefully in a few more weeks the price will begin to rebound nicely.3 points

collectors will be on to cooler things by then though, like Ford keychains. Supposedly any future bhz are supposed to be specials like this in limited nature and there will not be to many of them. So like most things they will overdo the numbered bhz and no one will care.2 points

Smart move. Those should eventually be available at 60-70% off during Walmart clearance. Possibly summer, but most likely next winter. Even then I'll probably still pass on them.2 points

I tend to agree. If you walk the toy aisle of Walmart, there are tons of things that are “only 5000 made”, “12000 made”, or “limited edition sets”...etc. “Limited editions of things” themselves are saturated. On the other hand, the first of anything, no matter how crappy it is, tend to retain collectors value. So it could be a toss up for this.1 point

I'm being sarcastic when I say this but next time, how about pay in cash and shred the bills and say it's all there. It's basically the same thing. All sales are essentially a trade of something for something. I honestly think I would put a neutral and say, shipped a small set in padded envelope vs a box and box came destroyed as expected. Years ago I bought a small set on Ebay and they seller did the same thing. What do you think is going to happen to a box in a padded envelope. The seller was a complete ******* to me and said the "price" with free shipping didn't dictate a box. Well, that is not my problem. I pay for an item and expect the item to come as listed, not packaged poorly and then destroyed. Neutral or Negative or they never learn.1 point

Explain the situation (insufficient packaging/damage) and mention that you are planning on returning the item, but would also consider keeping the item if a partial refund was provided (amount/percentage dependent upon damage), and then just leave it in their hands to decide which option they would prefer (most won't want the return of a damaged item, or the expense of shipping costs for nothing).1 point

Am I reading that right that you can return target 3rd party items to the store? I wonder how that works? Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Here’s a spoiler: the entire film is about why Chewie really brought the Porg on board—think Richard Gere with a gerbil. And that’s only the first 15 minutes. I really hope people who still subscribe to deal alerts value this post in their in box. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum1 point

Thanks but I would not count this additional savings towards the Lego purchase. There needs to be limits to this.1 point

Small Tesco update from last night, 70825 Queen Whatevra box went all the way down to £17.50 which is 50% off the admittedly overpriced RRP. 70829 Benny/Wildstyle mad max buggy stayed at 15% off at £38.25 somehow. The CMF series is end dated the same as those two yet stayed at £3. Nothing else interesting to note.1 point

Finally built our first Imperial Star Destroyer (6211) that we picked up a while ago on the cheap. The set was bigger than I expected and larger than the 75055 version. It was a decent build...though there were some difficult parts due to poor printing colors in the instruction books that my kids needed some help figuring out.1 point
