  1. I bought this bulk lot a couple weeks ago but wanted to wait to comment until I knew what was all in it. Paid $300, down from the $425 they were asking. Ended up getting 110 pounds of Lego after I sifted out the Mega Blok, and was able to complete over 400 minifigures with probably another 100 or so missing some part(s). The bulk I sort and clean and sell to another BL store so I don't have to mess with that as I don't sell regular parts. The figures/accessories I want I put in my store, the ones I don't get sold on other outlets in bulk. Will probably clear $1200 on this one pretty easy. It was a kids collection he had grown out of and was loaded with Star Wars, Superheroes, Ninjago, Toy Story, you name it.

  2. Finally built our first Imperial Star Destroyer (6211) that we picked up a while ago on the cheap. The set was bigger than I expected and larger than the 75055 version. It was a decent build...though there were some difficult parts due to poor printing colors in the instruction books that my kids needed some help figuring out.

  3. The Brick Fan has some official pictures up, but I really enjoyed this one from that classic scene when Rey and Kylo fight and Rey pushes over a tree and finds a blaster underneath it.

  12. I took a break the other night from writing report cards and, lured by the eBay Bucks offer, did a quick check of what the latest LEGO posts were on eBay. One of the first postings was a 10224 Town Hall for $165 plus shipping! No instructions, only 3 of the mini figures, and clearly missing some parts in that clocktower, but it arrived today and otherwise it is largely complete. Its certainly not the insane $40 Green Grocer posted above, but I'm excited to get the Town Hall for under $190 even if I'll have to order myself a set of instructions and replace some missing parts (I'm in no rush on the mini figures). One of the classes I teach is Civics, and my grandfather worked in local government for awhile, so I've been hoping to to add one of these to my Modulars for several years now!!

  14. Smart move. Those should eventually be available at 60-70% off during Walmart clearance. Possibly summer, but most likely next winter. Even then I'll probably still pass on them.

  19. w/ Luke gone (sorry for the spoiler) is there any reason to go back to that planet? Is a POrg just going to be roaming around the MF in the next movie just to annoy Chewy? I feel like they will soon be forgotten and serve as a conversation piece 5 years down the line, but hardly a must-have collectible (also probably over-produced like the BB8)

  21. Small Tesco update from last night, 70825 Queen Whatevra box went all the way down to £17.50 which is 50% off the admittedly overpriced RRP. 70829 Benny/Wildstyle mad max buggy stayed at 15% off at £38.25 somehow. The CMF series is end dated the same as those two yet stayed at £3. Nothing else interesting to note.

  22. Not sure if this is a deal or not, but Minecraft Mountain Cave 21137 is available at Amazon for RRP ($249.99). I know it was hard to find a month or so ago, not sure if it has now been widely available lately.

  25. $57.25 incl tax with 5% discount for me but including a $10 gift card. I consider the gift card as a discount since I buy my groceries in Target and make use of those cards. It is all how you look at it and balance your books between personal and business. For me these Target $10 gift cards have worked really well. Bought tons of sets when they had them in December and now again. I think it is a smart move from Target to fight Walmart and AMZ on their clearances. Target cannot go as low as these guys so they keep the discount within. Smart.

  28. This is a new one for me. Buyer wants to return an item I sold. I told them to send me a return request. I added that I will be checking to make sure that everything I sent is returned to me. Here is an excerpt of their reply “I am trying to be patient as well. I expect the same honesty from others that I practice. My reputation is everything and my accounting before God on judgement. If you would like references we can start with the Convent of Incarnate Word.”

  30. Sold a sealed 7663 Sith Infiltrator on OfferUp. Just trying to move some old turds. Buyer asked me to open it and send him a picture of the contents. It had been sitting on Bricklink forever, so I figured I would crack it open for the chance to unload it. Grateful the buyer asked me to open it, because this was inside: To think, this has been sitting on a shelf in my basement for nearly a decade. Nearly gave it away in a $25 infiltrator.

  32. The boxes at Kohl's have been relatively unmolested. My experience was that each column was a complete set in the same order. I typically found Crayon Girl 6th from the rear, and Giraffe Guy 7th from the rear. The Wizard of Oz were roughly 4, 5, 6, and 7 from the front (Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion then Dorothy or maybe it was Dorothy then Lion), but I encountered boxes where I thought Lord Business and Benny were in the first three and Rex seemed to be flanking, I think at 8, because I was feeling for Toto and the baby dino was throwing me off until I felt the hat with hair. Battle Abe was in the vicinity of the giraffe (which I bring up in case his 3L bar makes you think you've found tin man), along with a few of the microphone people. Seal codes are 48S8 Three Kohl's and 13 complete WoO sets and 15 giraffe guys out of undisturbed or partially disturbed columns from 6 boxes, so not perfect but a good starting point. I've only got one Sherry Scratchen-Post & Scarface to take back, which I either thought was the Cowardly Lion (Scarface's tail + Sherry's hairpiece) or Dorothy (didn't make sure the hairpiece was squeezable and thought Scarface was Toto).

  33. Today I built the 30023 Lighthouse polybag from 2011 that I BrickLinked the parts for under $3 and built a MOC of the 75125 Star War Series 3 microfighter Resistance X-Wing Fighter to make it look like Poe's X-Wing Fighter. Those parts cost under $5. I used the Poe minifigure from set 75012. One of the Wedge, Plate 3 x 4 with Stud Notches is not made in orange, so I got the next closest color which is bright light orange to maintain the orange color throughout the body of the fighter. My son built the car from 30529 The Lego Movie 2 Mini Master-Building Emmet polybag and showed it to one of our dogs. The dog, though mildly interested, does not seem all that impressed. Cats may not even care, or think it is a new toy for them…
