  6. This is a new one for me. Buyer wants to return an item I sold. I told them to send me a return request. I added that I will be checking to make sure that everything I sent is returned to me. Here is an excerpt of their reply “I am trying to be patient as well. I expect the same honesty from others that I practice. My reputation is everything and my accounting before God on judgement. If you would like references we can start with the Convent of Incarnate Word.”

  8. The Brick Fan has some official pictures up, but I really enjoyed this one from that classic scene when Rey and Kylo fight and Rey pushes over a tree and finds a blaster underneath it.

  10. Get Qty 9 green baseplates at $5.89 then 5% off red card is $50.36 before tax. About as close as you can get and a great price. Elves 41188 for $47.49 ($69.99 RRP) and close to the $50 threshold. Add a minifigure or something. Was funny they took the effort to mark BrickHeadz Sweet Mayhem as "eligible" for this promotion...

  13. I took a break the other night from writing report cards and, lured by the eBay Bucks offer, did a quick check of what the latest LEGO posts were on eBay. One of the first postings was a 10224 Town Hall for $165 plus shipping! No instructions, only 3 of the mini figures, and clearly missing some parts in that clocktower, but it arrived today and otherwise it is largely complete. Its certainly not the insane $40 Green Grocer posted above, but I'm excited to get the Town Hall for under $190 even if I'll have to order myself a set of instructions and replace some missing parts (I'm in no rush on the mini figures). One of the classes I teach is Civics, and my grandfather worked in local government for awhile, so I've been hoping to to add one of these to my Modulars for several years now!!

  19. All you that hold these for 8 years and don't crack are gonna have super ragrets. While I'm off on wall street you'll be sitting looking at a shiny sticker wishing you could of had the riches of those loser flippers. I get a lot of calls in the middle of the night of people asking me what to do with these and I just say think of the riches from being impatient. Ed- (what Emazers might say now)

  20. Wrong, this changed years ago. The only conceivable advantage of rigging a listing this way is to show up as the lowest "item price"

  23. So after the first one came back as a bootleg, and was returned for a refund, I decided to go on a hunt for a real GG. Started typing anything and everything into eBay, at 2am while feeding the baby, and ended up misspelling "Grocery". A listing that had been sitting for a few days at $59.99 OBO. I low balled them (instantly regretted it with fears that someone else would randomly find this listing) and the offer was accepted within a few minutes. The next morning I looked at the advertisement and saw that it had been removed from eBay "This listing has been removed"... the seller account gone as well. Figured I really **** the bed this time around... listing gone, seller gone, and offer accepted at 2am.... Friday it arrived, missing a few pieces and all the figures... but it's genuine and fits in just fine.

  25. You can’t. It’s an auto update. Usually a couple month lag time. It’s a tremendous amount of work/time to do the data pulls, crunch the numbers and validate the results.

  27. Now there's a traditional LEGO house of the 70s or 80s. The arches around the windows and a couple other bits are more modern but all the same very nice. I was thinking the same thing. Oh my goodness, so how long before Hasbro gets up LEGO's rear end with all these My Little Pony esque designs. The build actually works though and I realized her name is a slur of "whatever I wanna be". Cute. Also clearly that banana is thinking.... it's peanut butter jelly time.
