But it still looks like crap. I was excited for this set, but this looks like Lepin decided to stop making exact copies of LEGO sets and came up with this version.6 points

me neither, I'm actually starting to think that $20 on joe vs dan is a psychologist and we are part of a study he is performing on cooperative competitors.4 points

Please don't make us any scummier than we're already perceived. No sticker tampering!4 points

If you're referring to my post about B&N, no, it's new stuff that was showing on sale, different than what was there a month ago - I've been keeping an eye on it. Did you see Harry Potter BH at 75% off a month ago? I didn't; it was new. As you can see from other posts, SOME people appreciated my heads-up.3 points

Psychologists don´t have the concept of money in units of less than $200 though.3 points

I mean the car is just soooo far off So the car and home look worse, lacking figs and Dino's, it's not too late to delay release!2 points

The box art looks very flat which is probably on purpose due to the cartoon, but it’s not doing the set any favors.2 points

Next round of products for the Tesco "special purchase" bins to be launched next week (Maybe THIS week?). Some good stuff this time after the last couple of rounds have been disappointing. 60137 City Tow Truck - £10 75528 Rey Buildable - £10 - LOL Good Luck 41311 Heartlake Pizzeria - £10 - Seems good 60153 People at the Beach - £10 - Seems very good! 10834 Duplo Pizzeria - £10 10839 Duple Shooting Gallery - £10 41186 Azari and Goblin Forest - £10 7499 Flexible Tracks - £10 And a whole bunch of the books that include a Minifigure for £2.50. Definitely all in on that people pack, and as usual these will go 50% off in 4-5 weeks.1 point

Can you let me know the outcome? I'm expecting Friday delivery. I only know of 3 people that ordered one.1 point

Thanks @Villager Chris - mines showing that too; Plan A is to sell minifigure ASAP and part out the set for my Bricklink store Plan B is realising that it's old stock, being disappointed, and eventually deciding to keep it for my collection1 point

Thank you for putting this guide together. This is close to what I had in mind for my mount too. I'd like to mount mine in a vertical orientation with the way things layout. I have a dumb question though. I'm a newb when it comes to legos. Where do I get the technic pieces to build the mount from? I can't seem to find a set that includes the beams, and pieces that you used. Thanks!1 point

Back to the Future made $389M USD worldwide and Ghostbusters made $540M USD worldwide in 1985. After Delorean's surprising appreciation, one would think that the nostalgia factor for a box office success was a good formula for picking and choosing Ideas investments. How many went deep on Ecto-1 21108 thinking it'd be a repeat of 21103 and now regret it? Scooby Doo has had episodes on cartoon network from 2010 and a recent direct-to-video movie, so you had both the nostalgia factor and a new generation of kids familiar with the characters. All the sets in the theme have appreciated well, and I regret not stocking up. In contrast, the Flintstones seems to be banking on the nostalgia factor and Ideas collectors, because it has only had one direct-to-video in 2015. I don't expect kids to know what the heck it is, and if they do, they've moved on. Good or not, I'm afraid to touch this one at full price.1 point

Saw a few 31084 for $41 and skipped... Not sure if I am getting wiser or dumber as I get older1 point
-
I hope they're napping inside the house. I wonder if this is some backwards way of ending the IDEAS line. They will be able to justify it by saying the sets never sold well.1 point

Who cares if people "out" someone who has is listed. Interesting to see what different numbers go for. I could care less if someone posted or mentioned my listings. Most of us here are sellers of some sort and do it for at least a little profit so I don't see any shame in it. That being said I am planning on selling some now to basically cover all costs I spent on mine and save the rest.1 point

yeah, i know folks are joking but please don't encourage switching stickers, etc... it will just screw up that 0001 set. that hologram sticker will be hard as heck to move w/o showing signs of wear. it's not easy to remove w/o damaging it. i'm kinda shocked lego didn't save 0001 for it's vault unless they have a top secret 0000 in there. ha1 point

I'm 95% jokes, but there's some truth in there. That really sucks that it's the one dinged up out of the bunch, but as the most wise and beloved saying goes, "it is what it is." I'd sell it as-is. ?1 point

I never received a shipping notice but mine was on my porch when I got home from work today. Anybody else getting theirs yet?1 point

Yeah, I think it will be a huge crossover hit for non Lego/creator fans in the US. This might be the set that retires T1.1 point

This is the first Creator car set that I might buy for my personal collection. It's gorgeous!1 point

Here we go. Tricked suspension, steering and all. Has more features than the Aston. @ravenb99 what bag are you on?1 point

sounds like the plotline for a new nerdy comedy on netflix " Brickfeld. Follow the adventures and hijinkx as a group of reseller scum go about their daily routine trying to make the next big score plying their comically non-unique "uniquely numbered" sets to angry parents and price oblivious 1%er boomer grandparents who just click but it now. way things are shaping up, i am thinking over 90% of these are in reseller hands.1 point

Got the easy part out of the way - LED strip installed. Re-used the same strip from 10179 without having to modify it. I did of course have to modify the build a bit to fit the wiring without it being too obvious. Had to customize a side panel so it could go through the center, but it covered up pretty well. The strip does have a sticky back to stick it to something, but the pressure from the boat masts is enough to keep it in place with force alone. Made a custom little "holder" for the power box on the interior, and the receiver for the remote is accessible from one of the greebling display holes in the model. Not much i can do about this, needs to be somewhere the remote can talk with it, but it doesn't look all that out of place. And when done it again looks great, this light usually stays on 24/7 and acts as a night light for the living room, so it hides the ugly backside engines a bit Gotta say both this model and 10179 sure make it easy to access the interior to do modifications, all these easy to remove panels are great This LED setup does need to be connected to a power outlet, and last time everyone was telling me to paint the cord the colour of the wall, this time i will, but no i will not decorate the wall like the back of an ISD or a space scene Special guest: Jumbo Tsum Tsum Jabba, he's so awesome, makes a great couch pillow! Next step will be prepping the set for mount "alignment", have to of course remove the whole bottom turret section, reinforce the frame, and make some adjustments to level out the frame a bit as i can already see some differences from 10179 where my current mount build won't work.1 point
