The one thing both @Val-E and @cuttingcorners47 fail to awknowledge is this was for sale ONLINE only. No sure why you both bring up the volume of b&m stores wally has. Only sold on the intrawebs and not on the shelves, comprendo? Also, it appears some of the larger players have recently been handed the ban hammer from wm so that would exlplain why it lasted as long (or short) as they did.6 points

Chinese people have an obsession with the number 8. When spoken in Chinese, 8 phonetically sounds like the word for good fortune. So 8, 88, 888...you get the idea. The more 8's the better. There are also variations of this as well. 28 equates to good fortune coming easy. 168 equates to continuously having good fortune. On the flip side, 58 is bad. It means lack of good fortune. Feel free to look up the #4 and what it means to Chinese people too. Edit: If anyone has 8, 88, or 888, hit me up! (Yes, I'm Chinese.)5 points

Well that's two sealed limited edition brickheadz off the secondary market. The value of the rest just went up.4 points

1. Nope 2. Nope 3. Nope I remember reading a post somewhere on here probably by @Val-E that there was going to be a planned limited edition set this year and the cat guy comparing it to the crawler. Simple the intended target is AFOL/completionists that will buy one of each for $30 and free shipping kicks in at $35 so they will buy something else.4 points

I would think around 80% or more of these were purchased by resellers. The first big wave will arrive in their hands today with the remainder tomorrow and the price will be lucky to hold $24.99 by Sunday as the high volume sellers that are happy making a nickel per set get theirs.4 points

I was going to make this exact comment. He chastises the company for making a limited release but openly admits to selling the extras he had. What a ******. Not only that, but telling people NOT to buy them. Oh, after he sold his, probably on Ebay. Screw this guy. If you're on here, you're an idiot.3 points

This is definitely possible. It is also possible that Walmart wanted this and wants to be known as the place for lego exclusives or something. They are trying to build and compete with Amazon, Target, etc. and this is the type of thing that can help in the long run. I think you guys are really overthinking this. It is surely possible that they could be released overseas or in other packaging, but nothing seems to be on the horizon. Just sit back and see what happens. I personally think the sets will settle in around $100 per bh if they don't get any re-release. I would also like to see more of these going forward.3 points

I agree. A few stores might have them, but it looks like an online event for the most part. Mine shipped from Florida. Wal-Mart shipped me 20 and I have had lesser orders cancelled previously, so there is no logic to a lot of it. To me, Occam’s Razor says it best...when presented competing complex hypotheses to a problem, the simplest is usually the best solution. Easiest solution: 5000 sets of each character.3 points

I've never heard of such a thing, but now I'm really interested. I have a lot of the standard sizes to fit just right, but this might come in handy for those atypical orders.2 points

Clearance might or might not be stickered.Clearance might or might not have its own clearance location. Clearance might have already been picked dry by a competitor. You need to take the list of known clearance items and look all over the toy section to see if you spot any sets. Oh, and sets might be behind other sets, because Kohl's likes to put multiple SKUs in one shelf spot.2 points

I would definitely price #10 at $150 at least... to some people the lower the number the better... I have been selling a lot of the numbered Mego action figures that you can get at Target and the lower number ones always fetch more Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Brickpicker Forum mobile app2 points

Not widely known outside of China beyond AFOL, and this audience isn’t one to overpay for novelty of a holiday, like a grandparent dropping x5 rrp on a Minecraft set for Timmy just because of Xmas. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app2 points

These are not smaller than comic-con numbers. I am not sure why everyone is doubting something that they all witnessed happen. Maybe Lego wants to try out Funko like exclusives? It doesn't hurt Funko in any way and has helped to shape what they are today. I just don't understand the pushback.2 points

I think LEGO is imitating Funko with the limited edition stickers of these Brickheadz2 points

I am almost certain there will be another version (2-pack etc) that is not exclusive to US stores. What I do not get is the logic behind making the single packs store exclusive. Wouldn't it be more profitable selling single packs to the general public with the $15 new price, while keeping the dual packs as $30 store exclusive?2 points

Admin comment on one of the sets (I think it was Wild West Saloon) is that production will be limited to 2500 of each funded set. If all 2500 are bought during pre-order, then none will be available after the funding period. That puts an interesting twist on it.2 points

The fact that so many of you have been banned from Walmart makes me worried about Benny and Sweet Mayhem at Target or another store you're not banned from; I'm afraid they'll become available at 3am and sell out before I wake up and check. If that happens, I hope someone here will have mercy on me and sell me one of each for my own use at a reasonable price... Also what has me worried is that the exclusivity for Emmet and Wyldstyle was uncertain for a while, until Emmet's description was updated, and then people actually saw the stickers. Now everyone knows what the deal is from the beginning, and I feel the buying will be more insane and they'll sell out fast. Target could do some sort of red card exclusive, at least at first...2 points

Food for thought...... There are about 3300 Walmart Supercenters in the united states. I obviously know they are selling the Brickheadz online, but the numbers to me don't add up. As an example, if you divided up 5000 Emmet BrickHeadz evenly amongst the 3500 stores nationwide , your store would get about 1 or 2 of them. So think of all the people who shop at your local Walmart. You and maybe another person would be the only people who got one out of all the shoppers who shop there. Also, I have been reading that people are purchasing like 10-20 of them at a time which would make it even harder to obtain the BrickHeadz. I feel the stickers might not mean anything, and they are simply producing multiple rounds of the 1-5000 stickers.2 points

This is what I can see happening: 1. These Exclusive sets from WM are sold out. Sales are spiked to absurd levels similar to the Beanie Baby Craze...or even the same rate of the SDCC Brickheadz. 2. Sell for a QF and PROFIT! 3. LEGO releases these as a two-pack later on in the next three months while the movie remains in theatres. Prices crash faster than Windows ME. 4. BH Sets go on sale in July at 20%-30% off from Shop at Home. Sellers scramble to unload their Brickheadz which are worth a pile of pennies and various plastics. 5. Rinse and repeat with the next major movie (Infinity War: Endgame, SW Episode IX?, etc). You want to be at Step 2.2 points

It would be nice if this became an annual program for BL, particularly if LEGO would keep putting some official logo on the set, as they are this time.1 point
