No, this is new. BL rolled out Studio 2, a new lego design tool a few months back. It is pretty fantastic and easy to use. BL partnered with Lego and had competition to vote on the best studio 2 submitted designs and then see if they could be crowd funded. Some pretty strict design restrictions about no licensed content and brick #s below UCS levels, generic mini figures, etc. I really like some of the designs and think expanding the parameters if there is a new competition could really give designers more creative control. Obviously can’t have people throwing around Disney branded products, but using Lego brands Ninjago, Elves, pirates, classic space, etc. would be great. Bricklink's AFOL Designer Program finalists have been selected and are now available for pre-order. Sets meeting sales goal would be produced and shipped out by May 2019. Being a castle/historical builds fan I was so happy to see a castle set, the Löwenstein Castle, being on the list! The castle looks fantastic to me. The price is a little steep, but as of this writing is already 47% funded, so chance of it becoming a reality is extremely high. https://www.bricklink.com/v3/crowdproject/view_design.page?id=62780 Here are the rest of the finalists: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/crowdproject/main.page2 points

I must admit, the Marshmello event in Fortnite today was good fun. https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidthier/2019/02/02/fortnites-live-marshmello-concert-was-an-absurd-triumph-that-can-never-happen-again/amp/2 points

I smooshed the entire Lego 2 minifigure series over the past three days from a new box untouched box I found at Kohls for my personal collection with no duplicates. This is the easiest series I have ever smooshed and saved money by using $10 Kohls cash. The following minifigures are double bagged: Crayon, Singer with record and microphone, Swamp Guy, Kitty guitar player with microphone and Dorothy, for five total. Smooshing tips: Lord Business (golf club) Wild Style Bandit (binocular, helmet) Abraham Lincoln (hat) Crayon (double bag, crayon) Emmett (hair, coffee) Watermelon (head piece) Benny (helmet, tool box) Giraffe (giraffe head) Hippie Girl (cat) Singer with record and microphone (double bag, microphone, record) Wild Style singer (hair piece) Swamp Guy (double bag, whip) Singer with microphone and cassette tile (double bag, skirt) Jurassic guy? (dinosaur) Kitty guitar player with microphone (guitar) Dorothy (double bag, rubber hair) Cowardly Lion (head piece with ears) Scarecrow (hat), Tin Man (helmet with small round circle piece, axe) Unikitty (body piece like a small bridge)1 point

Maybe he is just a collector looking for specific figs to complete his collection? Not everybody is like us and view Lego as just a commodity. I know, weird right?!1 point

Below is a post/link from the builder (Raziel_Regulus) with additional info regarding the build: For all of you who want to know a bit more about the backgrounds behind this model, I have put together a little guide with some additional renders. Feel free to check it out: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qw87ftoonifrgyc/AABeH6AtKOsGHyddj3ksc-Bna?dl=0 (Disclaimer: Those are renders of the original model, which differs from the one you can purchase in some areas.)1 point

I haven’t been following this thread so that may be obvious or maybe even done by somebody but i just called 3 random lego stores and none of them has (any, old or new) resistance bombers.1 point

BL is having a packaging company does it: “We’re working with one of the best packaging companies in Los Angeles to produce beautiful and unique boxes to hold all these goodies!” It sounds like the box would have some sort of design but who knows. This is BL’s description of the whole process: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/crowdproject/about.page1 point

No worries....my son actually got one of these for Christmas and hasn't opened it yet. So I'll just return his sealed copy and give him the open box. No harm...no foul! Still a little disappointed though.....1 point

The amount of Adventure Time sets sitting at my local Kohls at RRP is simply mind boggling, between the 4 stores closest to me I bet there are 150 sets.1 point

Well that was anti-climatic. Bummer. I won't bother checking mine then since they are older seal codes. Thanks for taking one for the team. Anyone else have more recent codes than odysea11 that care to check? It would be interesting to see if we can narrow this down.1 point

Email them a prepaid return shipping label. When the tracking shows "acceptance" by the carrier, send them their $140 back. Don't send a replacement, and don't message any more than the basic facts. I have over 10,000 deals on BL and I don't ever throw that in a sellers face. For every AHOL on BL, there are 999 great customers.1 point

Bam! 101% funded as of now. It''ll be a long wait till May but it'll be worth it! Please make nice box art to go with it! I wonder if we have to pay taxes for it in the US. I assume at least Californians like me would.....1 point

This is beautiful (I'm in). Regarding some that are saying that the price seems high. The pieces seem larger than the typical new LEGO sets (this looks a bit more old school). 2000 pieces for this assortment of pieces seems like a really nice set.1 point

I think that it is hilarious that known resellers on FB LEGO pages are whining about availability. I personally like the sets, quite nice packaging as well.1 point
