Broke out a $35 75157 Captain Rex's AT-TR since the price hasn't moved and we wanted something to build...mostly for the 5th Brother mini-fig that the kids wanted. Not a great looking set but we at least had fun building it. In other news...if anyone is looking for a used 75157 that is complete except for the 5th Brother mini-figure, I know a guy. ?4 points

FYI, I posted some info in the SW 2019 thread on this site. I contacted Lego via their chat function last night to ask about obtaining this replacement fig. The CS rep indicated that indeed they did replace the fig recently so that the set would be more accurate to the movie scene and would send me one free of charge.3 points

This reminds me of Rocket Punch from Mazinger from the 70s, which was (and still is) ultra popular in Japan and the rest of asia. I can imagine boys going nuts over it, not so much the AFOL.3 points

Exactly. They have no clue or are instructed not to say anything. Each rep had different advice. One even told me to come up with fake accounts.2 points

In the name of social justice (or the threat of a social media mob) they would. If LEGO had been contacted regarding the apparent whitewashing of LEGO characters - the price of doing nothing could be very costly.2 points

First thing I would recommend is don't think of it as investing. It's Lego reselling. Be prepared to deal with all the ups and downs of selling before you start buying up sets. If you have sold on ebay or amazon you already know all the headaches that can come with that. If not read up. Welcome to the group.2 points

Better luck than me. Called customer service this morning and was told the parts were no longer available, but would do some research and email me back.1 point

Tricky issue. Once they started adding skin colors to characters they have to be consistent and careful. With normal sets and also things like emoticons I prefer the neutral yellow, but this was a bit awkward once Lego started doing real-life depictions like Lando. I would expect this not to be whitewashing, but just a mistake of not checking the look of a small role in the movie. I think it is good to correct the mistake. Once you're going down the path of including skin colors, you'd better be consistent.1 point

Correct me if I am wrong.....but this really looks like a "Giant Blue Fist" does anyone else see it ?? Udpate: found this info on the web.... The 1,820 piece model, released in summer 2019, gives builders of all ages the chance to take control of all-action hero Dangervest’s vessel, shaped like a fist and featuring a rapid-fire, 6-missile spring-loaded shooter with shooting function and a trigger in the back, allowing them to role-play space missions with Rex, Emmet and Rex’s raptor crew.1 point

Phew glad this has more baby raptors. Was worried Walmart was finally running low...1 point

TK was good many years ago for retired stuff - I picked up a Potter castle and bus there a long time ago. Agree with Tabby now, though, mostly over priced and smashed up tat.1 point

Regardless, a few years ago Tabby was never buying City again and it's trash. Everyone else said you are ok with select sets. Selling City Prison Island for $300+ sure hurts the bottom line. Back on topic, this UCS Snowspeeder is a glorious vehicle.1 point

To eliminator’s point, in 2003 I was in grade 10 and had zero interest in Lego. 14 years later I’m still not wealthy enough for the original. There’s a large group of people in my age bracket that missed out on the first iteration and would never consider the aftermarket price it was holding. That made the re-release very desirable for me.1 point
