  1. Managed to finally get these. Not holding out much hope that I’ll find anymore, but will try.

  2. Within in 1 hour of supplying my plan to Amazon, I received this email back: We reviewed the information you provided and decided that you may continue to offer these items on Amazon. Yay me?!

  3. We also need to be careful with the positivity, as too much of that will lead to more "Lego is better than gold" crowd.

  4. The one thing that hasn't changed after all these years is the confident brickpicker proudly gloating over their new found superior wisdom.

  5. I highly doubt it. I've seen only a two Dimensions packs in the past 4ish months (one at walmart for $3, one at best buy for $8), they're long gone from most retailers.

  6. To eliminator’s point, in 2003 I was in grade 10 and had zero interest in Lego. 14 years later I’m still not wealthy enough for the original. There’s a large group of people in my age bracket that missed out on the first iteration and would never consider the aftermarket price it was holding. That made the re-release very desirable for me.

  7. Now I remember why I stopped posting as much and avoiding threads..... SW is crap, large exclusives are crap.... I wish there was a little more positivity on these forums instead of the constant negativity. @Val-E what is your point with some sets having better return? Of course many did and I'm sure many didn't have a better return. I was pointing out that the return for a bad seller set is excellent. In the dreaded AoH I am getting excellent returns as well. I don't want de-rail any more. Its easier to avoid all the negative comments than try and contribute.

  9. People compare this to sea cow. I will say I paid full retail for my Sew Cow and have it built and displayed. It is beautiful. This set is the same. Will probably not moon on retirement, as most collectors who see it's beauty already have it, and yes, it's plopped down in the middle of their city

  10. It's fairly detailed and clearly designed to hit on certain issues that I suspect are important to the PQ team. I haven't heard back on my appeal yet so the jury is out on whether it was worth it...but not having to spend time on it was absolutely worth it. 12. There's got to be more to it then a request for 4 bricks... when I was missing a part even from a really old out of production set (Y-wing version w/ the stand thingy) the rep was bending over backwards trying to find an equivalent brick...coming up w/ like 5 other options and color ways to make a reasonable substitute...even put the order out (for free) and then later canceled when I opted to go another way...

  13. Built BB8 Over Christmas break with my kids. Not a bad little build overall. We put it on the shelf next to 10225 UCS R2D2 and they make a decent pair.

  14. I think most only got a few and many were bought up by gifters when they went to 50% off. There were also some who got them free from TRU and for $90 from Target on those price mistakes, but that is probably just a few folks too.

  16. Regardless, a few years ago Tabby was never buying City again and it's trash. Everyone else said you are ok with select sets. Selling City Prison Island for $300+ sure hurts the bottom line. Back on topic, this UCS Snowspeeder is a glorious vehicle.

  19. gotta be the one MF that will never get re-made ...and the one every star wars lego fan will need (eventually), after all the recency bias has passed. It's the most unique AND Iconic SW set of the last few years...imo.

  20. Original used UCS Snowspeeder with box and instructions just went for under $200 in an ebay auction: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-2003-Lego-Star-Wars-Snowspeeder-Set-10129-UCS-W-Box-Instructions-NR-/323638067662?nma=true&si=DjTS9ettKJczMcGFZyTHvrxj3b0%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 As someone who could not afford the original, I was glad when the remake came out and I love it. It is curious how it's not really selling, even with 20% off from LEGO. Is the original really that much better? Or is this just an unpopular set?

  22. You have to be careful in this situation if you're committed to Amazon for the long haul. We don't know what they track and review behind the scenes when it comes to product quality. By simply closing the listing down and not appealing, you will have a quality issue on your record that you did not substantively address. Although I have no inside info on this, I find it highly probable that this could count against you down the road. I got my first one of these recently and hired one of the consultants to write my appeal for me even though I had sold out of the item. I definitely could not have come up with what they ended up writing for me on my own. It was pricey and the work product I got from them will help me do my own in the future. 26. +1 Grab every set you can and flip em. Just don't neglect tracking, insurance and buyers signature. Flipping those ridiculous policeman for $45 was one of last years highlights, along with reading the comments from whingers in the Lego groups.

  27. To me, this is one of the most iconic sets ever produced. I doubt I will see the movie in the theater, and I have only built one set in the last five years. But I may build this one.

  31. actually went back about a week or 2 ago and read a few pages of posts for old time sake. Need more members that use fun words like douchenozzle and toolsack. When you are down and out and just can't find HP at 50% off I suggest you do the same and you will feel much better about where you stand in life in general. Either that or be pulled into a deep depression. One or the other

  35. Finished with my new Brickheadz display. I have almost all of them except the 2016 SDCC Brickheadz, Steve and Creeper, Luke and Yoda, and Vader. 2017 NYCC Boba Fett/Carbonite Han not pictured. Don’t have any of the new Seasonals yet either.

  36. A word to the wise...even if you "win" this fight with the buyer, you can still lose and lose far more than the cost of that Scuttler. A pissed off buyer can f*** your world up as a seller on Amazon very very easily and in ways that are not easy to defend against. With a buyer like this, you are much better off swallowing your pride and sense of righteousness and just issuing a refund. I do this all the time and detest doing it every time...until I check my Amazon balance.

  37. That's just LEGO's new version of the date code. Used to be embossed into the box - now they print it. Have seen this on more sets. Seal code now has day of the week in it as well. Nothing to see here, please move along ....

  38. Try scan it with the amazon transparency app and see if it brings up info (it is the app with the blue t by amazon mobile). If so then that set is enrolled in the transparency program. If you have that set without the code (which is a unique code on each unit) then amazon will not accept it at the fulfillment center after a grace period. If it is the transparency code then it will mean those sets may not be allowed to be resold on amazon by unauthorized resellers as each code is unique and amazon has in its database where that code originated. If the app brings up nothing scan it with your phone camera it may be a generic we code taking you to lego’s website in which case it is harmless.

  39. Just a heads up for those using seller fulfilled prime as of today you can no longer do the wed-sat cutoff trick to use first class or even priority mail for nationwide coverage. They are also banning seller fulfilled prime for those sellers doing to backordered instock future date trick. You can still use first class and priority wed-sat for regions very close to you. Also be aware first class and priority prices will be bumped up significantly next year. Going forward SFP will continue to be pushed heavily by Amazon but it will only really be suitable for your larger margin items for nationwide. SFP small and light may still be suitable for your less than $15 items depending on margin.

  40. Usually people that set it to the buy box price when they ship it and don't realize how much the price will rise this time or year. Or they don't bump the price up on inactive stuff. If someone cancels an order or it gets refunded, it will go back to the price you last sold it at if you don't have a system to avoid that. I'm selling stuff for $10 or $15 more now than I was just on Thanksgiving so things can change that quickly.

  41. Just open a case with seller support and have them split the listing. Make sure to give them 5 star feedback when they help you out.

  42. I've done really well on Dimensions. Made a lot of money. But you have to know which sets to buy. Chima and LOTR won't make you any money but I've made some good profits on Lloyd, Slimer, Stay Puft and Scooby Doo. Sonic and the Teen Titans team pack are also in demand. Not much interest in ET and A-team. So it all depends on the packs. Sent from my SM-A520F using Brickpicker Forum mobile app
