While being disappointed with the lack of good clearance at an out of the way Walmart. I spot a 9391 Crawler Crane sitting on the shelf. I immediately look around for Exciter1, thinking I fell through a worm hole into his Walmart. [ Unfortunately I wouldn’t recognize him if he hit me upside the head with a lego box ] I checked outside, there were no horse & buggies so that put that theory to rest.6 points

That's not really true. Used to be 20% or higher was worth a post. If something was retiring and going over retail we posted as well. If it was in depth clearance discussions then sure post in the clearance thread. By that logic one would not post any of the Lego in store deals or promos cause you know only a small portion of the users have access to them. So why post those at all? Same with half the stores that don't exist in people regions. Yet guess what we still post them. If it doesn't pertain to you then move on. Not everyone reads each thread so if someone is willing to post something that might benefit someone else then leave them alone.5 points

I do list for a slightly lower price than a damaged box but not by much and I usually save a few $ using smaller boxes especially for bigger sets. I just say no box in both title and description and the pictures I take just show sealed bags.3 points

Good post . Also I usually do no box sealed bags. A bit cheaper shipping wise as i use a smaller box and zero complaints about box condition ??3 points

Hit two targets last night with the expanded toy area. Both were well stocked on Technic, Architecture, and Elves. But ****.com was showing sold out for both locations. And none of that inventory was even showing on Target app.2 points

Yeah, I guess that was a bit unfair to the OP. I decided to respond because I saw several mentions on the DD of WM in-store prices that were not generic rollbacks, but rather local or regional clearance prices, which IMO belong in the clearance thread. Of course the other banter here shouldn't be in this thread either.2 points

We are living in glorious times! Double your money if you have the persistence and cunning to track these down. (Not that ive managed to get many of them either, but my advice is strip the shelves bare of them.) It's the Policeman and Saturn V FOMO all over again. And so many whingers on facebook complaining about lack of supply and over-inflated prices. I mean cry me a river! It's a luxury toy ffs. First world snowflake problems. It's not baby formula, where little Johnny literally goes hungry. That is a bloody national disgrace orchestrated by (ironically) a group Chinese flippers. End rant.2 points

I must say I re-use as many boxes as I can get my hands on making sure the clean of any old labels or tape, re-securing both bottom and top and at times the sides if needed. I feel recycling is important and I dont think if done properly it looks unprofessional. Also even if the box is a bit bigger 9/10 times it wont bump you into a higher price point for shipping. I don agree with limiting pillows as much as possible but I do use them and they work well if you dont over stuff the box. Less is more.............1 point

Thank you for responding, so the same case to all the Walmart in-store deals (at least to me). LOL. I kept thinking there were more to all the suspense around it..1 point

actually went back about a week or 2 ago and read a few pages of posts for old time sake. Need more members that use fun words like douchenozzle and toolsack. When you are down and out and just can't find HP at 50% off I suggest you do the same and you will feel much better about where you stand in life in general. Either that or be pulled into a deep depression. One or the other1 point

You can set what ever price or shipping you want. So just add $2 or whatever you want to the shipping cost. Have that added cost increase as the package weight does that way you cover yourself in a situation where your packing bumps you uptown the next price bracket.1 point

It's always worth it to have multiple venues to sell from. The stores are super easy to setup and add inventory, unlike the long listing process on eBay. Unless there is a huge price difference between the two, I rarely list New in Box sets in eBay. Too many scammers, and sticklers for box condition. The free shipping entitlement on eBay also hurts with returns. I've never had a complaint on Bricklink, and I often get high volume orders for international sellers. I also have a minimum purchase on bricklink which allows me to buy the cheap battlepacks without concern that shipping them won't be worth the effort. I am incredibly biased though1 point
-
I think a reasonable answer would depend on what you are selling. If you are selling parts, very rare LEGO, or if you are willing to price your listings very low - then Bricklink would be great.1 point

For what it's worth, I went with the Rollo, https://www.amazon.com/ROLLO-Label-Printer-Commercial-Compatible/dp/B01MA3EYC5, and I've been happy with it. It's compatible with many brands of labels, and even works with Linux.1 point

Better then Kohles, you would have gotten the 40 items in 40 plastic mailers.1 point

Lol. Bought 40 items from Barnes and Noble in one order. They shipped it in, like, 25 boxes.1 point

Buy LEGO online. USPS free priority mail boxes. My favorite, though, is to buy them from staples and insist that staples is actually paying for them.1 point

went to my local Toyworld yesterday and they only got 80102 x 3. But they also had a 20% sale so bought one at retail less 20%! I don't thinks the owners of my Toywold know what they have on their hands. I may go back on the weekend and relieve them of the 2 remaining sets of they're still there.1 point

So this ^...no more ink/toner, just the rolls of labels. No tape or cutting half sheet labels to fit. Plus, looks a lot more professional. Must've had mine a year now and kicking myself for not going that route sooner.1 point

Bought a used 7946 Kings Castle off of OfferUp yesterday for $75. The listing said it was missing 3-4 pieces but I decided to take a chance. Of course it was missing closer to 10 pieces after I inventoried it, but surprisingly all the minifigs and loose weapons were there and all of the castle shields.... spent $5 on bricklink this morning to order all 10 missing pieces.1 point
