Somehow a Rathar Escape snuck into your otherwise great photo. You should have cropped it out...lol. Nice work. I'm heading to my store later this evening to clean up what's left.5 points

Today my son built the 2014 version of the City Police Station with no help from me at all that I bought new a few years ago. It was great to see him take a technology break. The nerd part of me had to look in the sandwich bag I gave him to put the extra pieces in after he finished and he missed a few pieces. No worries there because I always seem to miss something when I build too. Like father, like son!4 points

Just some things to share about Voltron, so take this information for what it’s worth (not directed toward Mathew, I’m just quoting his question). The B&N BOGO 50% off is the first time Voltron has been able to be had for less than RRP. Keep in mind it was a LEGO Shop at Home exclusive from August until November. I *will* own two of these for personal build. I stumped hard to make Voltron happen. This is a life long dream set for me. I have not bought any yet. I am confident we will see at least this discount (25% off) or better over the life of the set.3 points

not just large sets.. even smaller ones like Friend Ski Lift of Ninjago Temple of Ressurection. I can easily compare: last year ordered above 20 or so packages, NONE had more than a single sheet of wrapping paper (cca 50x 50 cm).. this year? every single set in a package was either completely fitted with air bags or enough wrapping paper to secure the boxes inside. No damaged set at all, no battered corners, nothing.. i wonder what has changed since last year.. was the amount of returns more than they could handle? Did LEGO complain?1 point

Shipping is always top notch from EE. They are about the only collectibles company that guarantees MINT shipments on most of their items.1 point

I feel as though this community is not a "fan site" but more of a reseller site; so prevailing sentiments tends to be more critical based on sales (which is driven by many factors that have nothing to do with how good or bad a set may be...and to what audience) and not objective merits. I think the obvious lack of star wars in the last movie suggest licensing issues. If that's the case then I don't think we will see SW stuff in the next movie.1 point

No worries - like I said, if you're keeping it and can stack with other coupons and you intend to keep them that's a good deal. Also, I can confirm that Costcos in NorCal are also discounting X-Wing to $39.97...had to get my local one to manually change the price but several other locations up here had already marked it down. I was also unable to get BN to provide me with a second HP - they were sticklers on "one per customer."1 point

The Indoraptor not being on the “official” BOGO list (as well as not on the exclusion list) just paid off. Picked up a Voltron and Indoraptor. They had to manually apply the 50% off, and in doing so accidentally applied it to Voltron. +10% membership discount and I walked out the door for $210. ?1 point

you should really do your research before you make recommendations. there are were a ton of sets already sold out at shop at home, amazon, target, walmart that you can pick up with this deal and already sell for at least 2x your purchase price depending on where you sell. not that you would sell them yet but this just helps indicate which sets are going to be winners. discount relative to msrp is mute if the set is sold out at shop at home and its going for more than msrp already. no one's going to say which sets to get because this is a competition and its hoarding time. look up stuff that is 3p only on amazon and if its sold out or call to check at shop at home and selling for 2x or greater the price fba? no hestitation. or if seller count is unusually low, also time to swoop. sure prices will fall back to earth post holidaze a little but still indicator of what someone is willing to pay immediately post EOL. the retirement list has been published. the sets are sold out indicating retirement at multiple countries shop at home websites. they just don't put the retiring soon tags up here in the united states to tip off the reseller scum (who don't think to look at other countries websites to see what's retiring). there are no more mysteries here. if you want to invest, this is it. not as good as target's gift card deal which stacked with discounted sets and buying gift cards with free gift cards but the trains are leaving the station. people will be F5'ing guggenheim and eiffel tower and high fiving each other for paying msrp in a month. just like brick bank spent weeks where you could easily score them for $145 even after ravenb99's ingenious riddle revealed this to be an early retirement and now we are high fiving for msrp. current bn deal on ET is acceptable but not as good as $20.99 on the eiffel tower which you could order for 3 days at that price with the target gift card deal. think walmart had them for $19.99 but i haven't gotten an order to go through from there in some time.1 point

I bet they make a big fig Rey and it doesn´t sell any better than the Buildable or Brick Headz versions.1 point

Moved a Temple of Airjitzu (70751...?) today for $375 + shipping. Bought for $191.xx... after all the fees and math was done, oddly, it came out to a clean $125.00 profit. CAD of course.1 point

Just sold a 75045 SW Republic AV-7 Cannon for $86. I had picked up four of them for something like $18 ea. Also sold a 75080 SW AAT ($12 cost) for $70 from the same original purchase. I also sold a 60104 City Airport. I had originally found it for $50 for my son, who decided he no longer wanted it. I was thrilled to sell it for $180.1 point

This is a follow up to the £100 haul I showed in the 'what set did you buy today' thread (picture below). I've sold most of it, including all the sets with a value of £50 or above. Overall, this has done extremely well. I've made over £1500 in sales. Taking into account the initial cost, shipping, Bricklink costs and fuel, I've made over £1200 profit. I even still have probably at least £200 worth of sets I haven't sold yet (e.g., 4181, 4182, 7965, 4737). This has been a great project, and I can only hope to be so lucky as to get another find half as good as this in the future! EDIT: Whoops, just realised I forgot about Paypal fees. That's probably about £60. I'll make more than that back with the rest!1 point
