They did the same to me. Letter in the mail increasing my credit limit! My first thought was "who the hell spends this much at Target each month!?"...but then I looked in the mirror.... Sent from my SM-G950U using Brickpicker Forum mobile app5 points

Well, here's my haul for playing along with this Black VIP Card game: Black VIP card Scarif minifig: free in-store give away when I purchased the MF Y-Wing print: email code DJ minifig: email code Card Holder: email code Mudtrooper: added free by CS rep because Card Holder wasn't showing in shipping confirmation online code error Thankfully I was an early buyer, early builder, and early seller so I got all my money back from the original purchase. All in all, I came out ahead in all this...but I think Lego could have done better. Even something like the Space Slug or Comic Con Solo movie MF cockpit would have really made the program special.4 points

Lego 10210 Imperial Flagship (new in open box) for $615 shipped, with 15% off coupon and 8% ebay bucks, brought it down to a net of $523.3 points

I flipped a couple too. There was a nice immediate profit on those. I sold out a few weeks ago ... and then my son, who doesn't bother with LEGO much anymore, asked for a LEGO Fire Station for Christmas. GMAFB3 points

Some of these Nexo sets look like different parts of a giant mecha. This would be 1 of the feet. LEGO should have made these sets with optional builds to combine them into 1 huge mecha ala Devastator or Megazord or Voltron3 points

BH need to be designed so a mini-figure can be placed inside (maybe even clear plates on the bottom so it can be seen...right now that cavity is just novelty complexity with no purpose...basically there should a reason to touch a BH build again otherwise it sits on the shelf as a dust collector2 points

I think the microworlds were awesome when there was no Minecraft theme. But once the minifig-sized Minecraft sets came out, the microworlds suddenly didn't seem so great anymore. That would explain the drop in interest and resale prices.2 points

This set brought me out of my dark ages! To make you feel better maybe, I paid full RRP AND shipping from Shop at Home. No free shipping then! Edit: $121.48 with tax and shipping. December 2010. Edit edit: I also bought it without any gifts with purchase.2 points

First time paying over RRP for a retired set. Picked up 10193 Medieval Market Village NISB for $160 shipped off of EBay. Set has been on my list ever since I came back out of my Dark Ages. The 15% off coupon helped sweeten the deal, and so did the $15+ in EBay Bucks I earned (and since EBay bucks are calculated BEFORE coupons are applied, it worked out to almost 10% EBay bucks instead of the 8% offered in the promo).2 points

I find that stale bread rolls work great to cushion shipments. Don't tell me I'm the only one.2 points

I thought the same thing. If I ordered something from Amazon and it came with grocery bags as packing, my first inclination would be it's a terribly run business. Then, if there was some thing wrong with the product, it would make me more upset. I'm a piddly Ebay seller and think grocery bags are meant for the trash, not for re-selling.2 points

I sold over 40 Fire Stations over the last few days @ $110 and remaining 10 @ $120 , both with $24.97 shipping. I didn't know they were going to be so hot. Bought all of them for $50+tax at Walmarts few months back. Sold last one today for $130 + shipping2 points

Check your emails from Staples. Mine had a 15% off shipping supplies coupon, good through 12/29. (Not sure if the code is unique, or not.)2 points

Bhz have been 12 month or less release since they started, all of last years ended 2017 and all of this years end 2018. Sure you will have some hangovers like Finn even after the retired tag, yet they never officially gave Phasma the tag. Pretty much like what mixels were, out for a few months, retired, then see hanging around. Plenty of characters to make and can make variations of mickey and minnie if they want too so no need to really keep around for a long time anyways.1 point

lol its ended up that way... been pretty active during good eBay bucks promos though. 15% off coupon on top is great though, how often does that happen! In the last 2 months though, I've picked up Imperial Shuttle 10212 and Vader TIE 10175 this way. all in new open box. of course, your set is the best ? need to find somebody who has an open box 10179 for cheap for the next halo set ?1 point

A lot of people got DO around $120 last month. That buy in is a little high for my taste. On topic - Hogwarts Express in stock at target $65 plus card1 point

Correct. ebay offers between 15-25% off shipping. PayPal also offers discounted shipping which you can calculate from http://www.paypal.com/shipnow once you're logged in. So comparing those rates to the shipper websites' general prices isn't apples to apples.1 point

That’s the best part. I don’t use them either. I bubble wrap them and then fill with various materials like cardboard, styrofoam bits, etc.1 point

I will use plastic grocery bags for Ebay orders, but I would not recommend doing that for Amazon orders regardless of whether this dude scammed you or not. I have always tried to make Amazon orders look very professional and use brand new boxes and packing paper or air pillows in the order.1 point

A word to the wise...even if you "win" this fight with the buyer, you can still lose and lose far more than the cost of that Scuttler. A pissed off buyer can f*** your world up as a seller on Amazon very very easily and in ways that are not easy to defend against. With a buyer like this, you are much better off swallowing your pride and sense of righteousness and just issuing a refund. I do this all the time and detest doing it every time...until I check my Amazon balance.1 point

Or count out 5000+ pcs. You want to cannonball down here and do it for me? Dunn dun DU-UH-UHNNNN! I'll likely offer it up as is with most bags still sealed. I think it's worth more like that than built once.1 point

72006 Nexo Knights Axl's Rolling Arsenal for $29.99 Wal-Mart Rollback (50% off). I ordered just one for what look like some unique parts for creative personal build projects. Very low resell volume on eBay though, even if it says trending at $49.32...1 point

I think we're having 2 different arguments here: 1. Tabby proclaimed Dr.Who to be "not a turkey", to which Frank B. made the (IMHO correct) callout claiming that getting barely over RRP after 2 years still classifies a set as a Turkey. 2. Everyone else then jumped in to call Tabby's investment a winner, because he turned 22GBP into 60GBP in 2 years. I think Tabby's sale was indeed a winner (and indicative of the "new" LEGO investing), while at the same time, if what Tabby sold it for is a good indication of market value, the Ideas Dr.Who set is a turkey as per Frank's point, because people's expectations were much higher (should have at least made it to 2xRRP).1 point
