Solidarity seems like a bit of a reach for a bunch of people who'll happily undercut each other for $5 profit.4 points

Not sure where to post this so I'll gently lay it down right... here. For anyone that linked their Target account to their Google Express account and received the TARGET30 code for 30% off Target on Google Express; Target excludes LEGO from the promo but for some reason it's applying to Walmart, LEGO included. Have fun.2 points

just confirming what others have noted - that bn.com is run by complete idiots who are sabotaging shareholders. i ordered $80 worth of lego to get the harry potter promo. 2 days after it shipped i placed another $80 order. then the whole order is cancelled. not just the promo - the freaking whole order. so i guess i'm done buying lego at bn.com until dec 24th when promo ends. not too hard to see how this might impact normal gift buying public beyond the reseller scum whom i'm concerned about.2 points

So here’s my tale. I placed an order at amazon for three Apollo’s and three sanctums. Here’s comes shipping day and nothing showed up at my door. I called cos in the morning and she said I refused the order and it was on its way back. Now I know I have sleeping problems so maybe I don’t remember opening the door for the guy and telling him I no longer want the order or just maybe he lied and never came and used this bs excuse. I was actually told it is what it is, at that point I asked to speak to someone more important than her and here comes the hero of the day. The sets were suddenly in route to my house. The delivery driver then proceeded to scan only one of the boxes (the Apollo’s) and didn’t scan the other box. I thought nothing of it. I get an email from amazon saying they are refunding me for the three lost sanctums and sending three more for free for the inconvenience. So six sanctums for 0 dollars. ??♂️2 points

Send it out for free?! There’s about $0.53 worth of plastic there, they can’t just go around giving that away all willy nilly.1 point

It is not a red herring. The analysis is straightforward...compare RRP of sets that have retired to the current secondary market rates. If you know the market and make good choices, it is generally in the neighborhood of 5 out of 5 sets that appreciates after retirement. Sent from my SM-G965U using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Thanks! I figure if this Lego obsession gets any more serious I will need to sell regularly or we will hit critical mass soon (meaning a large mass will be thrown at me by my spouse and I will be critically injured) ...I figure w/ a small sell I can enter the ebay waters on the shallow end to get my feet wet.1 point

The Mob does too. So what you are saying is that this forum is a wretched hive of scum and villainy? I beg to differ. The people on this forum helped save a school the last three years!1 point

I was just making the point that urban Europe is stacked on top of each other. More so than here in the US. His example of a "real" downtown diner was Mickeys which is one of a kind in Minneapolis. It's appeal is that its an old train car. There are no others like it.1 point

Personally I am ok with the black card promos up to this point but then again I quick flipped my Falcons during Christmas last year. This should have a stupid low buy in. I get they cant send it out free but seriously I shelled out money for the black card just to have the privilege of shelling out more money for a special promo? That i feel is a little insulting. I bought all in on this theme as well including just selling the baby dragons with their respective eggs, usually netting 10x minimum of buy in on those.........1 point

Log in and switch to classic view. You should be able to find items a bit easier that way. This was the only method I could find to change my handling times over Thanksgiving. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

So I assumed you called them to tell them that you do in fact have 3 Sanctums already, and they insisted in sending you another 3 and refunding you your money?1 point

Yeah. I passed on some other deals to buy at Walmart. Screw them. It was a few Minecraft sets.1 point

Well I bought some for 35 Euro and got rid for of them for 95 Euro last XMAS. It is not so bad as you are all claiming.1 point

I guess I'm in the minority, but I like this a little bit. Certainly, I"m not blown away by my good fortune at the opportunity to obtain this, but I can see building this and actually displaying my black VIP card alongside the Falcon. Much easier to display than the certificate that came with 10179. I'm going to hold out (admittedly little) hope that the black tile is printed to look like the black VIP card. Also I, don't understand why the head is black but the hands are yellow? Is the figure wearing a ski mask to hide his face because he's embarrassed about being a Black VIP card holder?1 point

$200 shipped on eBay. All used. Seller says they are complete, they certainly look so in the pictures. Seller was very responsive and when I asked, she said she would put each set in individual ziplock bags versus mixing them. 41078 Skyra's Mysterious Sky Castle 41172 The Water Dragon 41173 Elvendale School of Dragons 41175 Fire Dragon's Lava Cave 41176 The Secret Market Place 41178 The Dragon Sanctuary 41179 Queen Dragon's Rescue 41180 Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle 41183 The Goblin King's Evil Dragon I was saving at least one of these for a future daughter (have 2 boys now) if we have one. Elves > Friends. Now I can unload my last NIB 41178 and 41176 that I was saving, as well as continue to sell the rest of my copies of the other sets with reckless abandon.1 point

Well, I was getting so frustrated with the cancelled orders on CM, I put through a huge order knowing that it would be cancelled too. Now, it's on it's definitely on way. Sent from my SM-G965U using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Just received a neutral feedback (so presumably a seller defect) from selling the 40289 Diagon Alley promo. Buyer said: ''I did not know this was a micro set, disappointed''. I despair.1 point

I would like take a moment to complain about sellers that use buy it now 'or best offer', but then aren't willing to accept anything less than 98% of their original price. If they want the full price, just damn well leave it at that with no offer. Morons.1 point
