Seen the picture of it. It's going to be more popular than the Downtown Diner in my estimate! Three story corner building with a gas-station in the centre and a garage / car-working place on the right. First floor has a veterinarian office. Second floor looks to be living quarters. Very nice detailing! 2569 pieces. Official reveal tomorrow (Monday).6 points

I guess I'm in the minority, but I like this a little bit. Certainly, I"m not blown away by my good fortune at the opportunity to obtain this, but I can see building this and actually displaying my black VIP card alongside the Falcon. Much easier to display than the certificate that came with 10179. I'm going to hold out (admittedly little) hope that the black tile is printed to look like the black VIP card. Also I, don't understand why the head is black but the hands are yellow? Is the figure wearing a ski mask to hide his face because he's embarrassed about being a Black VIP card holder?4 points

Sold a 75098 Assault on Hoth for £300. Paid £150 for it last Jan from LEGO Shop at Home. So much for being a turd.3 points

If they released an entirely gray Boba Fett as a nod toward the famous Kenner prototype of Fett, then I think that’d be exciting. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app2 points

$200 shipped on eBay. All used. Seller says they are complete, they certainly look so in the pictures. Seller was very responsive and when I asked, she said she would put each set in individual ziplock bags versus mixing them. 41078 Skyra's Mysterious Sky Castle 41172 The Water Dragon 41173 Elvendale School of Dragons 41175 Fire Dragon's Lava Cave 41176 The Secret Market Place 41178 The Dragon Sanctuary 41179 Queen Dragon's Rescue 41180 Ragana's Magic Shadow Castle 41183 The Goblin King's Evil Dragon I was saving at least one of these for a future daughter (have 2 boys now) if we have one. Elves > Friends. Now I can unload my last NIB 41178 and 41176 that I was saving, as well as continue to sell the rest of my copies of the other sets with reckless abandon.2 points

If market timing was that easy, everyone would be millionaires. It's not, and anyone pretending they are good at it is full of crap.2 points

Built the Destiny's Bounty I got around Christmas time with mostly Shop Your Way points from Kmart. I told my wife it would be my birthday gift but she forgot, so I got it out the other day and started in on it. It's really a nice build. My 20 month old daughter loves having Moana drink tea and go to bed in the little bed below deck. I should really make it a point to watch the movie, I watched five seasons of the TV show already.2 points

For the UCS MILF, I didnt mind paying MSRP as I was caught up in the release-hype (#totallyworthit) and the Black VIP card was a nice touch. Honestly, I expected better promos with the card this year, but life goes on. Luckily, I was able to build the set and flip it to a local collector and get my money back before supply could match demand. Will buy another one for keeps when its goes EOL.1 point

A true turd is a set which still makes little / no money even after large discounts, like 75150 and 75140. I've been suffering from constipation, unable to get rid of those, ever since I got them. Thankfully eBay are throwing out £1 FVFs like confetti at the moment.1 point

Jeez I hope it's the Samuel L Jackson from Pulp Fiction and not the Clone Wars. Could be the wallet he's holding that says.. well look it up if you forgot.1 point

I agree. I think it's an awesome display piece. Kind of shocked they're retiring it so soon. I remember being at the LEGO store while they were building their display set. It was actually almost yesterday... lol.1 point

What the @#%%$@#? Seriously? To be honest, after the completely lacking "promotional" stuff from LEGO this year for getting the Black Card, is anyone actually going to want to display their Black Card and admit we got duped by LEGO? The friends of mine who know I have the black card laugh about it every time it comes up in conversation. It's the last time I will worry about a "promotional card" from LEGO. Maybe if LEGO gave us one pick of our favorite years-past Star Wars give-away set (I.E Space Slug Escape or something similar) with Star Wars purchase, that might be pretty cool.1 point

Something to consider...60095 Deep Sea Exploration Vessel is very popular and doing quite well. I know...different theme, but it just goes to show that people love ship wrecks. This set might surprise some people. That being said...I have yet to buy any even though I’ve got 20+ 60095.1 point

Yes, before you launch your site and materials, contract the services of a copywriter to proofread all of your materials. If your posts here are anything to go by, this investment will be well worth its money.1 point

I think a lot of buyers have moved to offer up and letgo. The aps ease of use on a phone makes impulse browsing much easier than cl. I'm getting more bites on those than cl these days.1 point

I remember showing my son the price for NASDAQ:COKE this summer: $130. I showed him a quick graph and did a valuation on the spot but didn't pull the trigger. Five months later it's at $210. I'm not sure what lesson I taught him, if any.1 point

after 44 years I finally realized I've been doing it wrong (gotta wonder how I figured it out). Wiping ones arse is a misnomer...the correct technique is to dab first, dab twice, then wipe. An initial wipe simply spreads it around and one spends most of the remaining time just wiping up the mess that was created by the first wipe...the "dirty bits" is actually a much smaller area than we think. Ofcourse if you have the trots and the initial drop splatters everywhere...the above does not apply1 point
