I think TLG need to wind down a few of the Batman and Star Wars sets, not completely but too much of any thing is not good and the big sets especially are becoming unimaginative/repetitive. I would love to see some classic ranges back, pirates, castle, space, not remakes either but LEGO should go back to its routes. I have often thought LEGO should buy/merge with Scaletrix and enhance their Speed Champions with cars that race the track, - maybe call name it “ScaLegoTrix” ....ummm maybe that’s a mouthful? but I think the combo of two would be awesome for kids and adults ?. Back to retiring, if any one is interested in UK, JL have Old Fishing Store at 20% (£110). Not as good as last month when £93/£94 but better than RRP.

Alot more advertising inventory on Amazon, no more google shopping adds or links, and alot more resellers, means less traffic and alot more competition for that reduced traffic on Amazon this year. Having said that sales should have been gathering steam since the beginning of the month. However lots of sellers are reporting dead and slow sales. If you are witnessing slowish sales make sure you are priced to win or share the buy box, run PPC, and also consider running your own external adds pointing to your Amazon storefront. The days of listing something thinking it will sell just because it is on Amazon are long gone. The Amazon marketplace is now mature and saturated and shoppers are alot more savvy which means they have been buying the same sales you have on walmart and target. Competition for the smaller pool of desperate shoppers who procrastinated is going to be fierce. Adapt and take advantage of the cheap keywords on the Amazon platform while you still can because they are only going to get more expensive every month. The big boys are moving all of their advertising budget from facebook and google to Amazon. I have seen some pages where 60% of real estate is now headline adds, side and bottom rails, and sponsored adds sprinkled every 2-3 listings in the middle. All of those adds are competing to redirect your items customers to purchase your competitions items. Add revenue will eventually dwarf selling commissions on Amazon.

My store had the Ferris Wheel at $179.99, they had a ton of them. Detective's Office was at $111.99, so 30% off on that one. They had 10. They were cleared out by the time I had checked out. Brick Bank was at $135.99. Only 3 of them. Be interested in seeing if this was a trend, or just one store. I grabbed the last. Only 2 turbines in store. People were pissed about that, so I had a good chuckle listening to adults cry in line. It made the 30 minutes in line pass by. There is no sign that 2019 would be the end. Speed Champions caters for a very specific market sub-segment (collectible sport car models), it is not tied to a specific license and LEGO has no obvious substitute. This will likely stick around for a long while. I also read in an interview with LEGO designers (can't find which one) that SC did a lot to improve their small scale car designs. The challenges to replicate a shape of a specific car forced them to come up with new techniques, and this experience is now transferred over to other themes. This resulted and will result in more varied cars for the City, Creator and other themes. So LEGO has good incentives beyond direct profits to keep the theme around.

There are definitely sets missing tags. Does anyone seriously think all the Nexo or TLBM are going to be around another year?

Went to the LEGO store this morning to get a bunch of stuff. When my wife saw all the bags sitting on the table, she asked if I had bought the entire store. My reply was that I actually bought two of them. She was not amused...
