So I had to drive to Panera Bread with my laptop and use my Moms card and address so they dont ban her account. Just to buy 5 Lego. Crazy times.4 points

Yeh. It's a pain. You just have to sell it's as "used" then explain it's new in box but the box is dented. Then take the hit on the resale value. OR that's the one you give to the kids. Rudolph steps on all of my kids presents.4 points

Great price.....but.....this thing scares the hell out of me. Every Tom, ****, and Harry has a couple dozen hidden in a closet that they forgot about. **Edit** In for another 5.......3 points

Well it wasn't made by LEGO - Some poor schmo created it, was invited down to LEGO so they could "appreciate" his creation, then stole the design, gave him no credit, and then took all the money. At least they happily sent him a free set to serve as a constant reminder of how badly he got screwed. This for me was the day that LEGO died.3 points

yes noticing this as well. i am attributing it to increasing holiday orders and slow down in order processing. this is why now is a good time to do instore pickups if there is anything left to keep the turn around time on the gc quick and keep it rolling. surprisingly large instore stock of architecture still getting my attention. yes you've been banned by walmart. this is how it happened to me as well. orders stuck in processing then they get cancelled. go to googleexpress to work around it.2 points

I think they are omitting ALOT of the Friends scenes. If this is how Boys and Girls play differently, I can see the boy who would be 5 years older being a younger teen and I think the apocalyptic theme matches. The young girl would essentially be moving from Duplo to Friends line, but still likes playing with her brothers traditional Lego figures. A lot of the physical sets seem to reflect a more lively atmosphere in the Sisters imagination which is why we can see Unikitty gravitating toward it. It would be clever to have a transposed trailer coming from the perspective of the Friends line.2 points

Love the first film but the trailers for this are leaving me cold. And the sets are, to quote, 'diabolical'. I'd happily take a renewed Sea Cow!2 points

I will pay anyone $26 for every one they can successfully buy from Wal-Mart for $21. I am currently doing that with 3 people.2 points

Good to see TLG have learnt their lesson from previous movies about not saturating the market with too many releases. Oh, wait.2 points

One of my best purchases ever came from Boscovs - many 8288 for $29.99. I sold the last one for $375 a few years later. Ah, those were the days...1 point

So I was looking around for the Power Functions I needed to setup the Holiday Train. I decided to try an order with Shop @ Home since they have everything for retail price and I had some VIP points to burn. I was banned by them about 2 1/2 years ago, received the dreaded e-mail, and a few orders I placed around that time were automatically cancelled. I have been able to accumulate and use VIP points in store since then, but haven't tried any online orders. Shockingly this order went to the warehouse and has now shipped. Is it possible I have been unbanned by Shop @ Home or was I just lucky this time?1 point

Immediately try to remove it and they should line it out or totally remove it. It should take you about 4 seconds.1 point

Well, thanks for the advice on reaching out. They were very helpful. Although they were out of the Diagon Alley set they said they’d send me two Christmas Boxes instead.1 point

Jurassic will be from LEGO store as well. No word on when yet. Leaves SH. No word yet but I'd guess Target. Supposedly were supposed to have Potter originally with that 30 day exclusivity they had but fell through. Dates match up on that as well as they were made in June and Target exclusive month was 7/1-7/31. Not of ton of Ninjago available either. Most stores in the 8-10 case range with 16 per like Potter.1 point

Conversely, there are those that are selling on a smaller scale to fund their personal collecting. In that case, the extra time taken to sell ten £20 sets vs one £200 set is a serious consideration.1 point

Usually they will send the promos first. Then the set you bought will come when available.1 point
