one of the best promotion stacks in a long time. Even if you didn't do in store which wasn't much better as the VIP doesn't net a ton anymore anyways. Probably last one that could rival was whatever it was with T1, T1 mini and a few other things thrown in. Basically got T1's down to 50 off. This by far if done right was about 75-90 in promotions depending on platform minus fees, double points and if in store another 15 or so. Plus depending on what you bought some stuff you could make on at retail. It was almost as if LEGO was paying us to buy.5 points

Not necessarily a stack, but my personal favorite was the bonus VIP points "make-up" offer for the Darth Vader minifig which got cancelled due to QA issues, where every SW purchase, no matter how small, got you bonus VIP points (was it 100 or 500 points, I forget). Stacked well with SW brickheadz/Microfighters that were on sale.4 points

Staying away from the large box sets like this. One too many AMZ returns for some stupid crap the buyer did. Yes, it went up and value, but AMZ takes their pound of flesh and then it only takes one idiot soccer mom or scammer and it eats heavily into profits. Give me a pallet of $12 junior sets I can arm sweep for $4 and sell for $40-$50 all day long over this4 points

Few decent deals popped up at entertainment earth if you’re looking for Kessel Run Falcon ($118.99), BB-8 ($64.99), and Iron Man Detroit Steel Strikes ($19.49). Free shipping on orders over $25. https://www.entertainmentearth.com/s/pre-black-friday/s?query1=pre black friday&company=&theme=&producttype=&celebrity=&character=&landingpageid=5524&landingpageurl=pre-black-friday&lppreviewid=0&podcast=0&salesid=0&promotionid=0&selectedfacets=__Theme=LEGO&itemsperpage=60&page=1&filter=All&sort=bestsellers&productview=&advancedsearch=False&hideshop=True&alertid=3 points

Did anyone else notice the limits on some LEGO sets on AMZ are up to 27? Normally they limit 2 or 3 per week, but I spot checked about a dozen smaller/medium size sets and was surprised to see the limits that much higher.2 points

Immediate cashflow-wise: $145.70 from AMZ. Overall total value-wise: store purchase over the weekend, because you spent $170, got $15 back in VIP points and 3 promos which should bring you an easy $50-$75 in sale proceeds, bringing your total to ~$100 after tax.2 points

I said that many times over, but purely based on the visual aesthetics, this is in my opinion one of the best looking modulars ever.. its sleek, elegant (combination of grey and white never fails).. kind of art deco architectural style.. compare this in 5 yrs against the latest Diner (totally unimaginative architectural style, although very memorable and "classy" for the US population".2 points

same here. orders placed through ge have shipped while walmart orders spend a day or two in limbo before getting rejected. i am hitting this portal lightly for stuff i can't get from target who is taking everything i'm giving. i am wondering if this is a temporary holiday restriction to discourage qfll from hoarding up all the black friday deals as has been the custom for the last half decade lol to prevent mass hoarding of whatever creative brick tower is the black friday special this year. all you BTP who haven't been banned - go ahead and put back to back orders of some set in and get back to us if you got banned or if BTPness allowed you to transcend walmarts banning algo. ? this will just mean more hand to hand combat in store to obtain necessary stock levels.2 points

Conversely, there are those that are selling on a smaller scale to fund their personal collecting. In that case, the extra time taken to sell ten £20 sets vs one £200 set is a serious consideration.2 points

Guilty. I’m not approaching steam roller numbers, but I have double digits. Why wouldn’t I? It’s a big a** freaking bank! It looks awesome in any city lay out. Any collector would be silly not to have it.2 points

Scooped one at $170 off Amazon for my personal build. First Lego purchase of 2018. We have all the modulars going back to Market Street so didn't want to pay any more for this one than we had to. Not totally convinced it is going but why not I have to get them all. Cancelled and rebought at 145.70. Cheers Amazon.1 point

I've managed to get some orders through WM by going through Google Express. Only lets me order 10 at a time, but it's better than nothing Sent from my SM-G965U using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Technic Power Functions Motor set 8293 just $16.99 at AZ. (43% off.) To me, this is a killer price. I bought 7 when they were $19.99. https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Technic-Power-Functions-Motor/dp/B01E78WLCU%3FSubscriptionId%3DAKIAJQSYTIGRBKVM26KQ%26%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB01E78WLCU1 point

Samsung Pay has Walmart cashback at 30% for toys. Limit $100 reward per purchase, so the only limit is your imagination. And the WM order cancellation hammer. And you're screwed if you have an iPhone.1 point

I'm probably wrong, but doesnt this seem like more sets than usual? Havent seen many leaks on 2019 sets, but seems like they are finally starting to scale back total number of available sets.1 point

Ended up buying 100 2x3 and 100 3x4 bags from Walmart. They are located in the craft jewelry area regardless what any employee tells you. Both bag sets cost a grand total of $3.25. Thanks to everyone for their insights!1 point

Thanks for the heads up. Selling over rrp on fleabay UK now. Time to release the fleas. I cleared a bit of Escort Girls sets from TRU when they were 1/2 price with GC offers. I heard all the stinker probs with this theme but it had a nice niche feeling to it with a short life (+ decent combination of promos offer).1 point

My tidbit of advice to try, for future reference: If the $99 qualifying item is on Backorder, add one other cheap item in stock (keychain, minifigure pack, etc) and that will most likely ship out sooner with the promos. I can't be 100% certain that still works, but I also placed a Great Hall backorder but added a few small items and those and promos are currently "in warehouse" status.1 point

If you still have Kmart or Sears stores nearby, try these codes for FreeCash ... (text the first word to the number listed after it). Reasons for SC success: Low Chance of Repeats/Rehash Pull of brand enthusiasts Small Box Size Sets typically hit all the various price points Known/well estimated life on shelf Challenges: No longer exclusive to TRU and Lego Stores Larger quantity of people that buy in because of above. Glad to see some of the rumor mill starting up. Set looks pretty good, makes me wonder what the other Makes represented will be for 2019.1 point
