  5. Books A Million are running a 20% off site/storewide this weekend for members. I took a quick peek and found a few notables that were already marked 50% off and you get 20% off additional. Sorry, the Boost and Batcave are sold out, but it might be worth checking your stores. https://www.booksamillion.com/p/LEGO-BOOST-Creative-Toolbox/LEGO/F673419272292?id=7423831060055 https://www.booksamillion.com/p/LEGO-Batman-Movie-Batcave-Break/LEGO/F673419266239?id=7423831060055 https://www.booksamillion.com/p/LEGO-DC-Comics-Justice-League/LEGO/F673419267052?id=7423831060055

  10. Actually, if it was the green one, I'd be all over it. Just not for $2.49 ea. I don't want to part out any more Palace Cinemas or Horizon Trains to get more. They can actually be used in MOCs.

  19. Lot of pretty recent architecture sets in there. think the Ferris Wheel is one of the most iconic sets there is. It speaks both to children (I checked by letting my nephews and nieces play with it) and adults (Just think about the way it makes each MOC city seem like so much more fun)

  21. You know, if everyone's doing what you're doing, how much can you make? These are low cost high margin items, meaning you better stock up and clean out as much as you can and control the markets, if not, you will be bag holding them. You can make 100% on this if you do it right. So the best way to do this is to buy 100 shares (boxes) of this at $25/share, and unload it at $50/share. Difference is you can't dump 100 in one shot like you can on the stock markets. 100x25 = 2500, unload 100 at 50 = 5000. I guess that's enough for 2 weeks of pay.

  28. Just joined a few weeks back after a friend sent me a link I am a gainfully employed father of a 7 yr old boy who loves Legos (both me and my son)...and I recently got into my childhood toy about 3 months ago and have probably spent over $3K on Legos since between Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, and Target...and Lego Shop at home. The spark that got me into it was Voltron..that was too much nostalgia plus Lego, plus coolness to resist. Its been an education to say the least. The Site is great...love the Lego news and deals sections...the acronyms are annoying and moving about the site is also clunky. Since this site often focuses on re-sale...I posted the header because I am willing to provide some insights (perceived bargains, rip-offs, learning moments, and other recent experiences as I got "Into it") on a demographic (like me) and answer some questions... Anyway...Howdy!

  31. While I've had several frustrations with them over the years, but here's the latest tale of woe that's causing me to consider a complete changeover: I scheduled a UPS pickup for between 6pm and 7pm Monday night via the website. I was actually there around 5:15. I moved my outgoing packages to a convenient location (30 or so). No one showed by 7:15 - So I check the website history for my request, it says they attempted the pickup but was unsuccessful. I call the 1-800 UPS customer service line (as there's no way to talk to the local center), and after speaking to customer service and a generic supervisor, they said the driver marked down the business closed early. I ask them what time the driver made those notes. They say 5:30. I said, my pickup was scheduled for between 6 and 7pm, and for the record, I was also here at 5:15pm, so the driver lied. They again put me on hold for 20 minutes while they talk to the local facility, and tell me they will do the pickup for the next night between the same hours as there are no drivers avail at this point. While I was upset that the driver lied, and no one attempted to even call me (even if they DID show up and no one was there, what if I was in the bathroom?), I say OK because there's not really anything I can do. So, Tuesday night rolls around, I am again there at 5:15. I call UPS right away, to make sure everything is on track. They say yes. (20 minutes later). At 6:45, still no one has shown up. So I again call, and get the exact same story from Monday night - No drivers are available and no one can pick up. They don't even give me a reason why no one showed up. Another 20 minutes of hold later, they say someone from the local facility will call me within 30 minutes. No one calls. So, here we are on Wednesday. Another 40 minutes on hold with UPS and Supervisor, and waiting a call back for the 4th time from the local facility. They tell me the real reason the pickup didn't happen on Monday was because they had an incorrect address. But again, no one called, and I verified the address was correct on my submission form. I am actually just going to head down there on my lunch break to speak to someone and get this squared away. But at this point, I want to look at another option. The lack of communication, the inability to speak to someone at the local facility, and everything else, has just pushed me past my patience limit. Obviously this time of year is critical, and with my other obligations, I don't have time to play these games. I need to schedule pickups and have stuff picked up.

  36. Properly annotated retail receipts that show the UPC code can work but the issue is the 365 day limit. Here is a very good reference video on how to properly annotate a retail receipt: Again the 365 day limit may be an issue and you will have to explain that in your POA and double cross your fingers. Other things you may want to think about are permanently deleting the listing and explaining you will not sell that ASIN again, and try recalling all of the ASINS but they are probably going to be held pending verification of your receipts. At the very least send in properly annotated receipts and structure your POA with bullet points and don't make it long winded or difficult to read. You will have to accept responsibility for the issue so do not try and place the blame on someone else that is not what they will want to hear. Good luck. Just another BS issue in a long line of issues you have to deal with when you sell on Amazon.
