Best haul I've ever had today. Got everything in the picture, including quite a lot of smaller unboxed sets, for £100! A lot of it is still mixed up in bulk, but I've been able to briefly look through and it looks like all minifigures are there. Can hardly believe my luck with this!

No, this wouldn't involve a board room meeting or anything nearly so elaborate or conspiratorial. Amazon = data. I highly doubt someone isn't going to notice that the ASINs targeted experienced a flood of sell offs and I also doubt that this resulting increase in sales is going to reflect poorly on the product safety team.

So Amazon and Walmart are having a nice little price war. If this keeps up, they will both sell out of many sets well before Christmas. Could be a really interesting year for us.

Someone on the Amazon forums just posted that the head of Product Safety at Lego had called to question Amazon on why they are doing this. I'm hoping that this will all bubble up far enough that it gets brought back in line with reality.

Ordered six 76047 Black Panther Pursuit's from Shopko recently - they popped up as in stock on their website & I figured they found some leftovers in a warehouse somewhere. 76100 Royal Talon Fighter showed up instead ?

Realistically, there is no need for them to request safety documentation for items that Amazon currently sells or has sold in the past. If the products were not deemed safe, then why was Amazon selling them in the first place? These requirements make sense in certain situations such as when a new toy listing is created by a 3P seller, but not for products that Amazon sells/has sold.

Sad to see this go. Had a lot of the parts in my inventory, so only cost me £40 to source missing parts. Sold for £150. So nice profit, as I start to reduce my Lego collection and inventory.

Today I sold a 75059 Sandcrawler via CL - thinning out some inventory to pay for recent Walmart clearance buys (and clearing space for those sets). At the end of the transaction, the guy says "Do you like beer?" I thought to myself "weird question to ask in this sale, at noon in a church parking lot" but I said "Uh, yea, a lot." He says "then I have some home brew for you." I say "does this involve me giving you back some of this cash?" He says "no, it involves me brewing way too much beer." So he gives me a 6 pack of 3 different brews with a spreadsheet of what they are. Says wait 2-4 weeks on the Voodoo Baby. I asked what if I really like one and want to buy more? He says "I can't sell it, but I'd trade for things like Lego." I told him I'd keep his email address just in case. So, seems legit, hopefully I'm still alive after drinking the first bottle.

An ebay order of mine from New Jersey has found it's way to Puerto Rico. This should be fun.
