  7. When shipping took so long , I more than once had sets go from available to OoS to retired while in transit.

  8. To a degree, sure. But that's with everything in the RA realm. I'm gated, and there's no area CL or FB marketplace, so nearly all my sales are on BL or eBay. For me, that means my buy in has to be 75% or greater for most sets. But for those of you who have access to FBA, even if your buy in was at RRP for recent retired sets, like 21133, 21132, 21126, 21125 the current price is double or nearly 3x for those sets, nationally. I don't buy that Minecraft is a secret, certainly not on this site, LOL. We talk broadly about odd sale trends with so many minor themes, from Juniors, Elves, DC Girls Super Heroes, etc. I'm guessing the niche market for this theme of 7-15 boys and that keeps it from gaining much attention outside of that audience. I seriously don't get what makes it cool or hot and I make a genuine attempt to try to have at least some idea of why a product I'm selling is that way.

  9. I believe it is 31/12/19 for retirement. There would have to be another Chess Set out before shelving this one. It was also OOS earlier in the year.

  12. Barely related other than story, the funniest cartoons I remember growing up telling the tale of Little Red Riding Hood was the Looney Tunes one Little Red Riding Rabbit with Bugs Bunny and the most loud mouthed girl they could find who barely could remember her lines popping in annoying everyone followed by the Tex Avery directed Red Hot Riding Hood. Man those are still hilarious. Anywho, here is a review by Jason Allemann himself.

  14. This Falcon Black VIP Card has got to be one of the biggest jokes of a promotion ever from TLG. It's unreal.

  15. My local Sears has some sets for sale with TRU style pricing. Might be worth a look if you have some points to burn and no kmart nearby.

  16. Lego reselling has certainly cooled this year, only been doing few years and noticed some ranges, especially Star Wars has dried up. The ideas range is very hard to judge too. John Lewis had Fishing Store and Ship in Bottle at 25% off for week now. FS went OOS in 2-3 days and SB is still in stock - a sign of bad resell value? Not long until the Retiring Soon Tags and Black November deals, decisions decisions?

  18. thanks! i tried to make it look as professional as i could while still staying on a very limited budget. most of the shelving and display cases were bought used from craigslist. i wanted to have the colorful lego boxes and sets themselves stand out so i just left the walls white. the brick wall idea i got from another independent lego store down in florida: brick city bricks (great store and very nice owner, check them out if you’re in the tampa area). i still have to finish up the party room, and start on my big display/town area, i’ll keep you all updated!

  20. After the Frozen counterfeit mess, Amazon was forced to take action. There are rumors that Lego will be gated altogether. not sure how credible that info is.

  21. Although selling prices may be higher, the fees associated with Amazon are much higher as well. When all is said and done, I pay around 20%-21% of my gross sales in fees to sell on Amazon (this includes shipping, storage, subscription, referral, and fulfillment fees paid directly to Amazon). However, 99.9% of my sales are generated through Amazon's platform because it allows me to operate at a scale that I could never have achieved through Ebay. The only problem with Amazon these days is that it is getting incredibly crowded with sellers.
