  2. Looking through the ASINs that were flagged every one had the word "Toy" in the listing. Most Lego sets listed on Amazon either have only the name of the set or it is referred to as a "building kit". None of those required any sort of documentation. Now I do have other active listings with "Toy" in the title that were not flagged but it was about 50/50. Maybe its a coincidence but it is something to keep in mind moving forward. In theory since these items were originally sold by Amazon they should have all the required safety info on hand as it would have been provided by Lego. Maybe these listings were created by Sellers that just happened to become the dominant listings but never had the Child Protection stuff affiliated with them. Many of the titles are not what you would expect from Amazon with phrases such as "hot toy item" being thrown in. Sounds like something a seller making a new listing would use. Thanks to everyone who has shared info on this matter.

  3. This may re-assure some of you guys. As many of you I received the safety document inquiry message and I provided the LEGO.com documents on three ASIN’s. However, none of the ASIN’s listed was active, two were not in my inventory since last year and one was inactive (sold out). I proceeded to delete that one from my inventory right away. Two days later I replied to the case Amazon created. I asked a simple question: “Since I no longer have these ASIN's in my inventory do I still need to provide the safety documents?” This action opened up a second case that was pending for 10 days until yesterday. See below the reply. ”Thank you for the update. From your message, I see that you no longer have inventory stock for these ASINs. I will resolve this case, if you wish to sell any of the above ASINs please get back to us with the documents so that we can help you. If we have additional requests for this item, we will reach out again.” Amazon Product Compliance. Based on the above I am hopeful that in my case not providing the proper safety documents will only gate the ASIN’s listed and won’t result in a complete removal of my selling privileges which would suck. The original case from Amazon requesting the safety documents is still open pending Amazon review but I anticipate that the LEGO.com documents won’t be sufficient.

  6. that works for them on the hot items that sell out and get resold. Doesn't work for 90% of the other products that wind up in clearance. It would also impact liquidation to much to do that full on. Stores would be inundated with product as no one would buy it as they couldn't resell it. As much as RA/OA hurts some brands it has been a blessing as well. Probably out of control in present times but it changes the whole landscape of retail in general. Going to a system like that would 100% have an over abundance of product that doesn't sell which would hurt the brand more than it helps long term. Some sort of balance will need to be found going forward. From 20 years experience in the liquidation business it has gone to the far extremes on both sides and always comes back along to some medium. Amazon is one of the biggest liquidators out there and for them to force it to be sold at brick and mortar stores they would never move through the amount they produce. All the major retailers have already changed most things up to where they auction to the general public now which has gotten them more money from people that don't fully understand the business versus people that know what the value of the product is. That has also changed the outcome for a lot. Bottom line is unsold product has to go somewhere and they don't want to do it online to begin with as that also hurts preceived brand value, but the people buying whether via clearance channels in store or through liquidation avenues need a venue to be able to resell it as well.

  7. Not too mad. Hitting at least 100 AUD and climbing. If you got it 20% off (average discount for that over here) it wouldve been a 58 buck buy in.

  9. I think the line about removing your selling privileges is referring to your documentation not being fake. I don't think they are removing selling privileges if you supply no documents. They may just remove those ASINs. If you read it: By applying to sell these products you certify that all materials you submit in conjunction with your application are true, authentic, and accurate. Note that Amazon may remove your selling privileges for failing to meet these requirements.

  10. I was asked for documents (no response yet), but still continue to send in sets on a weekly basis. Not for the ones that are in question though.

  11. I have not gotten anything either. FBM only for 5 years or so now. About 40 listings, most retired but have a few new sets I was flipping to get to 25. If they start hounding me with this stuff I'll likely bail from amz. Too much hassle & they don't want small timers like me anyways.

  12. has anyone found any pattern as to who they are sending these to? High volume sellers? Only sellers with a professional account? Only non-retired sets? Completely random? I haven't received anything yet but also do not have any active listings at the moment. But I'm getting ready to send in a ton of inventory & this has me very worried.

  13. Lego reselling has certainly cooled this year, only been doing few years and noticed some ranges, especially Star Wars has dried up. The ideas range is very hard to judge too. John Lewis had Fishing Store and Ship in Bottle at 25% off for week now. FS went OOS in 2-3 days and SB is still in stock - a sign of bad resell value? Not long until the Retiring Soon Tags and Black November deals, decisions decisions?

  14. There are also plenty examples of multiple restocks. Star Wars, Ideas, City, Creator and Creator expert are never one and done. I have not checked the codes on my Halloween sets but virtually all b&m sets on Aus have the dreaded "g" code. If it says they were made in week 25 2018 then that is not leftover stock from last year.

  15. Right about the date, but I’m not familiar with location (don’t really care) anywhere else, besides....Australia? They’re back here in US also. all I know is what people said here about seasonals retiring and then coming back, which matches what we see in stores and makes sense when looking at that seal. set in picture was purchased by me month or so ago at LLDC. And as often as I visit that place (few times a week) I know they didn’t sit there for a year, they just showed up.

  18. Yup... you guys better get rid of your Rapunzel towers...: Also, another Carriage ride (probably Cinderella which would make it the 3rd carriage) and now 2 more Aladdin sets (making the grand total of 3 since the Princess line) If they release a Tiana, it would be the first minidoll for that princess. Ariel, has had a figure in every year, sometimes in multiple sets. Hopefully this will include a legged version that has only appeared twice before. Another color for the mermaid tail would be nice. There is a new print on the green one, but we have only seen pink and that was in the large Palace that was released. Rumored sets: Set 1 : 41158 - Jasmine's Tower - Includes pcs TBA - $9.99 / €TBA Set 2 : 41159 - Carriage Ride - Includes pcs TBA - $TBA / €TBA Set 3 : 41160 - Ariel's Castle - Includes pcs TBA - $19.99 / €TBA Set 4 : 41161 - Aladdin And Jasmine's Palace - Includes pcs TBA - $TBA / €TBA Set 5 : 41162 - {? Ariel, Aurora & Tiana's Royal Celebration ?} - Includes pcs TBA - $39.99 / €TBA (Target DPCI: 204-00-0215) Set 6 : 41163 - Rapunzel's Tower - Includes pcs TBA - $TBA / €TBA
