I've already got my Fishing Stores. I bought a bunch from the $109 WM deal a couple of months ago. I just wanted more. As for the City Hospitals...I'll get them. Some way, somehow, I'll get them. You just wait!2 points

Order over the max limit more than once and you can be targeted. Aka Bad Terry...2 points

Apparently trying to buy 15 City Hospitals and 5 Old Fishing Stores. Those were four separate orders of 5 sets each. All were cancelled. Since then I tried placing a few orders for one set each, and again all were cancelled. Looks like I've been flagged. Oh well. I did place a few pick up orders after my previous ones were cancelled and they went through just fine. I've already picked them up. I got three Great Halls, one Heartlake Hospital, one Architecture Studio, and five free Kessel figures. The only thing that sucks from being banned from online orders is that my store doesn't carry the large exclusives or UCS sets in store. Im going back for more. Cover me...2 points

I ordered the City Advent calendar from WM for $21.97 and used store pick up. When the associate arrived he paused, looked down at the set in a closed bag a read a note that said "this isn't exactly the item you ordered, so we gave you a different one instead." He handed me an Arctic Ice Crawler 60109. Me: "This isn't a calendar" Associate: "True, but it has ice and it is Legos." Me: "Lego" Associate: "What?" Me: "So I'm guessing because it has ice you thought, what . . . winter?" Associate: "You want it?" Me: "No, but I'm going to make you listen to me for the next five minutes as I discuss the problem of phantom stock in your store, because I think I found a new reason why the tracker is off."2 points

Based on what we have seen of Ideas sets in the past. Safe bets would say end of next year, popular set and likely easy license to keep. The gambling man would bet on this year, given most Ideas dont last more than 2 calendar years.1 point

There is also a $5 off each $25 toy deal that is automatically applied. So an item at $99 gets $15 dollars off.1 point

That code works on every lego set I have tried thus far, but only one item per transaction. Now the question is mult orders for pickup, will you get banned? Would love to pick up a good 10 distinct sets.1 point

Their old problems had more to do with debt repayments from the leveraged buyout than with the rest of their business model. Their new problems are having to rebuild a B&M footprint and logistics chain plus sign new distributor agreements having offloaded/broken everything but the trademark.1 point

Undoubtedly Amazon will do anything they can to try to pressure other retailers. However, all things being equal in this case, I'm happy to support TRU as a Canadian company.1 point

Lowe's has a couple of Edsal shelving units at 50% off. I use the heavy duty one for Lego and recommend it to anyone looking for shelving.1 point

I have been getting a lot of requests if people can post links of listings or to their listings on eBay or elsewhere. We are going to make the classifieds module in the forum live again and allow you to post sets, minifgures, lots, and request sets from other members. This is a very basic, but functional FREE service. Post your items and members will reach out to connect with you. No transactions are done though the site. You manage it any way you want and complete your transaction. There is a feedback module for members to leave on the transaction. There is a spot in your account settings where you can go to enter in a few defaults for each listing to save time if posting a few. You can enter in a zipcode or city, etc so that people can see where items are located. A few other contact options as well.. All listings are set for 60 days. You will have the ability to repost for another 30 after they expire. This will be a good way to keep it clean from sets that are not monitored. Just remember, the goal here is to offer some good deals so that you can move some sets. There are no commission fees so pass a bit of the savings to buyer to get more interest from people. We will build this out organically. If users find interest and have ideas where they would like to see this go, I will submit some requests with the developer of the app and see what we can get done. I posted a few quick fake listings to show people how it works and looks. Once we get some listings in here, I will add a new area to the home page of the site to bring attention to them. Again, its FREE, use it to your advantage and if you get some sales going, those will be some good extra profits you can hold onto. New Menu Options Trader Feedback added to your profile!1 point

Barnes and Noble has a $5 off for each $25 spent on toys (just add to cart)…But it seems it will also stacks with the 15% off (code BNFRIENDS (one time use)) on some Lego products. I was able to use it in one order for an Old Fishing Store $102.49 before tax and a Downtown Diner $119.49 before tax, but will not combine for some Lego sets. Also, Raise has a 4% off code for everything…code: “EXTRA”….to get additional discount on Barnes and Noble gift cards. Edit: Works on Nasa Apollo V, UCS Slave I, Death Star, Brick Bank, Speed Champions, and Ghostbuster Firehouse, too1 point

There’s always money in these it seems. I sold each of the last 2 years’ advents (which were the worst 2 ever based on the figures) for a 50% profit after buying them on clearance. Not bad for 2 craptacular sets1 point

https://mashable.com/article/republican-attack-lego-youtuber-robbed-crowdfunding-campiagn/#P_sC6UrnsgqK Strangers are stepping up to help a YouTuber rebuild his Lego collection after thieves made off with thousands of dollars worth of Lego sets and destroyed years of his hard work. The YouTuber, who goes by republicattak, is known for his intricate videos of elaborate Star Wars Lego sets. On Friday, he took his 12,000 subscribers by surprise when he posted a video simply titled "bye." In it, the red-faced and visibly distressed YouTuber tells his fans that he has just come home from a work trip to find that burglars have stolen and destroyed his sets. "I don't know what I'm going to do," he says, holding back tears. "It really was my passion... that's the end of this channel."0 points
