This is a great model. It not only represents the physical subject well, but also the economics; This model will need a financial incentive or subsidy to make it affordable.5 points

Does it include a mini solar panel to run it? It will be kind of counter intuitive to use batteries to run a wind turbine that is suppose to be "environmentally friendly" while the consumers use battery cells to run the power functions that is harmful to the environment.3 points

They’ve (or it may be another similar company) been working with Clemson University and wind production off shore here for quite some time. They ever pull the trigger, I wonder who they’ll hire to shuttle people out there?1 point

no set is safe from a remake. The days of holding onto sets long term is diminishing. On the flip side, I'm waiting for a MS, GG, CC, and IF remake. LoL.1 point

it looks decent if priced at $125. at least it's not a "redo" or another 10188 design. Tree hugging AFOLs will love it. i'm really interested in this new material's feeling and clutching power compared to normal ABS1 point

Here we go with the plant based material BS. Let's throw in one tree in each set and promote them as "green." The only green LEGO cares about is money.1 point

Children ... we get it. Let's move on or.. This was surprisingly easy to find already made. I wonder if I'll get in trouble from the EU for posting it?1 point

agree 100%. same boring thing every year. how cool would it be to have a different theme each year? they could use it to revisit older themes, especially this year when it was 60th anniversary of the brick and 40th of minifigs. a few classic figs of space, pirates, castle...some retro mini builds.1 point

the quarter and fiscal year are coming to an end. and amazon continues to eat their lunch . so ebay bucks coupon to juice revenue. have noticed several previous flash exclusive sales / "price mistakes" have occurred near end of quarter from walmart and target - maybe we get lucky coming up.1 point

KMart coming through once more: went in to cash my $8 on $8+ Free Cash on some 20% off clearance set. Found a 70623 destiny's shadow, scanning at $22.40 (AMZ current price $48). Totally surprised when I had to pay $5 at the register, so went back with the other 70623 they had, and took a stack of similarly priced 70624 Vermillion Invader along.1 point

It arrived today. Cracked it open and verified everything. New and complete. Now with the toddler and newborn I expect to have time to build this around the time the re-re-release hits the shelves. For now it can hold the things my wife wants put up on the wall, but can't actually make a decision on where she wants me to hang it. It has a hippie halo. Peace and love from the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.1 point
