Biggest surprise so far is I was expecting some sort of technic frame, but this is built the old fashion way like the Death Star before it. Lots of 2x8 bricks for the frame. Next surprise is that it is all in one book. With the designers saying how they want building a family event every chance they get, I expected 2 books. You can't work together on this unless you have a clear piece finder/set builder relationship established. Final surprise is that I love the midi Slave I. Through Bag 5 in about 2.5 hours. No stickers applied. Not sure why I am so enthused about this set. I could never get myself you build the Death Star playset.7 points

Local LEGO Store added some Halloween themed pieces to the build-a-minifigure bins over the past week. Bats Jack-o-lantern Heads Brooms Heads, Torsos, and Legs below... There was a witch hat hair that I didn’t get this time- had to get extra Jack-o-Lanterns... basically the witch top from CMF line but colored with tan tap and orangish hair... The Vampyre Torso is done in purple. This appears as a new print. Old version was done in maroon. The Bride Toros and Dress is printed in Fuchsia. Old version was done in red...5 points

LEGO Ideas Old Fishing Store 21310 at 129.99..... says 149 on the search menu but when you click the listing comes up 129. Not the price of 109 a few months ago but its something. http://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Ideas-Old-Fishing-Store-21310/561345444 points

These are suppose to be released Sept 25, they were suppose to be $400 each, but Walmart lowered the price to $300, so everybody else did the same. I got the Centipede system coming. Here is a Video of a guy reviewing the Street Fighter Game. If you want all the details just google Arcade 1 up and it shows who is selling them. I figure getting it at Walmart will be the best place to return it, if there is a problem.2 points

My local Lego store still has a bunch of these left! Should I arm-sweep for some quick flips?! Asking for a friend.... Jokes aside, my local store has only sold “a few” from what I managed to pry out of them. Hmmm2 points

One problem with letting members input data...if they wanted to be a jerk, they could input all sorts of bad data.1 point

Brickfolio suggests it gives you an overview of the value of your collection. If prices are too erratic and do not make sense, then it kinda loses it's purpose and better to leave it out. Now it mentions the current value of 0 or just a third some times. I would like it if it is possible to update a price of an item by members by suggesting a value based on most recent sales. I also collect Whiskey and there it is very common to base prices on the last auction prices of items (some of those bottles go for huge sums (not mine yet )1 point

Has to go ground (unless you fill out mountains of paperwork each shipment) so your choices will be usps parcel select, FedEx ground ( smartpost nor allowed) or ups ground (surepost not allowed). We go ups ground. Make sure to buy a roll of orm-d consumer commodity stickers to slap on the box. No partnered shipping so it can get spendy depending on distance to the fc. Good easy money to be made on hazmat listings with suppressed buy boxes where u r the only fba seller priced up to 50% above low fbm. On hazmat where there is a buy box it is a lot harder as fbm will be dominated by retail dropshippers and price will be ultra low.1 point

That's brave... "Happy Birthday and please thank your grandma for paying secondary market prices for me." Stupid people.1 point

Anyone still after the new UCS falcon? Kidstuff.com.au. Helps if I put the store name in. Have confirmed with CS , this will be available tomorrow during their sale for $910 + delivery which was only $20 for me in WA. Needless to say , you will have to be quick.1 point

Hello, This discussion has been going on behind the scenes for a long time. Jeff has been working on an update for the site for awhile now. He is trying to simplify it and streamline things. The true value of this site was never the data, but its members. The real good information is scattered throughout the forum pages and threads. As I stated above, the non-US markets are a completely different animal. While the UK markets are somewhat similar to the US, the non-English areas are very difficult to filter out information. Add the currency differences and you can see how complicated and confusing it becomes. While I am not speaking for Jeff, I would rather see a site that has the US prices updated quarterly on a consistent and accurate basis. Trying to do it every month is a waste of time in my opinion. The LEGO secondary market and its members have changed over the past decade. Prices have stabilized and only a few exceptional sets will explode in value and those are readily discussed on this site. Month to month change is minimal with most LEGO sets. I appreciate your offer to volunteer, but that just be more work for Jeff and many people just don't care that much to be quite honest. The non-US markets shadow the US market close enough that one could make an educated guess to the value of their LEGO sets. They might be a few % points higher or lower, but they (for the most part) follow a pattern. The bottom line is that there is little in the way of financial return to Jeff (or I) with the current secondary market situation and affiliate earnings to invest more money into acquiring data from around the world. It sucks...I know, but Jeff and I will always try to do the best for the site and its members.1 point

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think the price guide will eventually move to only values from the United States, like it was at the beginning of BrickPicker. Values from outside the US have always been difficult to acquire and aggregate. Many times there are language issues/conflicts that affect the way the information is gathered and utilized. Honestly, there is just not that much demand for these values outside of the United States. There is another issue as well...money. We have never charged anything for the data, but it costs us a substantial amount to obtain it. Affiliate advertising has changed tremendously over the past decade. eBay basically pays us nothing from what they did 10 years ago. Target is done paying us. Toys R' Us never paid anything. Skimlinks and Amazon are what basically keeps the site running and that is barely enough. The US secondary LEGO and reselling market is much larger and viable. This is just a fact. I wish we could give you exact values for all 10,000+ sets in the database, but that will never happen with data from outside of the US. With the differences in currencies and languages, it is just too difficult to make the non-US data perfect. Unfortunately, it would take a substantial monetary and time investment to make this work. This investment is not a worthy one at the moment...Sorry.1 point

THE "LITTLE" WORKHORSE Mini Build and Free Instructions Hi everyone I've created a mini version of The Old Workhorse, made up from just 82 bricks. I've made the instructions freely available under the "Updates" tab on my Lego Ideas page. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a2ec583-9836-4868-8dc7-6b3bb0a2fe80/updates#content_nav_tabs Please feel free to use these instructions and have a go at building the model yourselves. The only thing I'd like to ask in return is if you could please support my LEGO Ideas project whilst you're there. Hope you like this fun miniature version and enjoy building it.1 point

Silly Europeans with their date format, their 24h time and their metric system. Perhaps the Americans can think of a way to make a system that works for the whole world based on the length of an average 14th century elbow?1 point

Not that we need further confirmation, but I grabbed the back/left 10 packets from a freshly opened box and got Percival. And no, I'm not returning the others. ?1 point

If you’re looking at the box face on, 4th from the back, first row on the left. Also, if you believe in bump codes..I got 3 and they all look the same. Just saying.1 point

This will forever remind me of guitarist Wes Borland's eyes from Limp Bizkit in the late 90s/00s. This porg must've gotten into the wrong island grass to appear that dialated... what an odd creature. I assume it has some great things in way of Lego design and build challenges. It's just somewhat off putting, I don't like the way it stares like that.1 point
