Built the Destiny's Bounty I got around Christmas time with mostly Shop Your Way points from Kmart. I told my wife it would be my birthday gift but she forgot, so I got it out the other day and started in on it. It's really a nice build. My 20 month old daughter loves having Moana drink tea and go to bed in the little bed below deck. I should really make it a point to watch the movie, I watched five seasons of the TV show already.5 points

So I sold a set and the buyer added a note asking me to attach a note/birthday card for their granddaughter. They obviously have never seen my handwriting.5 points

Always seems to be that way... the people you go above and beyond for leave you nothing. The buyer you spend 2 minutes buying/packing a quick flip item for 3x MSRP leaves you glowing reviews and 5 stars... ?4 points

If you have played Parcheesi, Sorry!, or Trouble, then this board game of Ludo should feel familiar.2 points

I had the 75153 ASIN in my tracking XLS, so I opened a case. Got a quick reply saying they fixed the node and it should reappear in 24-72 hours, but so far it hasn't shown yet (we're almost at 72hrs). I was also told to open new cases for each individual ASIN with the same problem, and as far as I can see this affects a whole block of LEGO products....1 point

I like the 4 seasons personality of the four squares! Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. That's a nice touch!1 point

I did the same a few years ago. I bought a nice card for "Max" and even gift wrapped it. Grandma never left me feedback though.1 point

That's brave... "Happy Birthday and please thank your grandma for paying secondary market prices for me." Stupid people.1 point

IIRC, these were available (exclusive, maybe?) at Target. The Bionicle sets have some good value: ~$45-60 for each. Not sure about the video games. I'd be tempted to break them up and sell each part separately. Bulk 3.0 has one of the rarer parts needed for the 5004590 Bat-Pod, which drives much of its value. I think it would be rare to find someone interested in the complete package. But builders are definitely interested in the parts, especially if they are new. 2011-2013 was a strange time. These bundles came out because Hero Factory just wasn't moving off the shelves very well.1 point

Anyone still after the new UCS falcon? Kidstuff.com.au. Helps if I put the store name in. Have confirmed with CS , this will be available tomorrow during their sale for $910 + delivery which was only $20 for me in WA. Needless to say , you will have to be quick.1 point

I have bought a lot less in 2018 as well. Mainly due to lack of substantial sales and interesting sets. As well as the current reselling environment forced me to be more prudent on what to buy. My current goal is to offload as much inventory as possible and wait for the right time, right place to re-invest the cash (not necessarily back into LEGO).1 point

Excited about this!!!Just placed my order. Kids are looking forward to it and so am I. I’m sure that we will be adding to it, but that’s what’s fun about legos..1 point

It is unbelievable how excited everyone is that this is now available to purchase if you happen to be a VIP. https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Betrayal-at-Cloud-City-75222?icmp=HP-SHM-DPC-SW-cloudc-1013 Amazing how the Leias my daughter wants always show up in the most expensive sets. I do have one ordered. When I get it I will make sure the thread has some energy.1 point

THE "LITTLE" WORKHORSE Mini Build and Free Instructions Hi everyone I've created a mini version of The Old Workhorse, made up from just 82 bricks. I've made the instructions freely available under the "Updates" tab on my Lego Ideas page. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a2ec583-9836-4868-8dc7-6b3bb0a2fe80/updates#content_nav_tabs Please feel free to use these instructions and have a go at building the model yourselves. The only thing I'd like to ask in return is if you could please support my LEGO Ideas project whilst you're there. Hope you like this fun miniature version and enjoy building it.1 point

Dalmatians, in particular, we're used in the late 19th century and early 20th century to run along-side horse-drawn fire wagons to serve as a barrier between the horses/wagon and other people and animals on the street, as the wagon raced through to a fire. A short description of the history can be found here, for example: https://www.livescience.com/33293-dalmatians-official-firehouse-dogs.html If you ever happen to visit Boston with little kids, the Boston Fire Museum is a great place to take them. It's small, but loaded with historical trivia such as this.1 point
