  3. It is unbelievable how excited everyone is that this is now available to purchase if you happen to be a VIP. https://shop.lego.com/en-US/Betrayal-at-Cloud-City-75222?icmp=HP-SHM-DPC-SW-cloudc-1013 Amazing how the Leias my daughter wants always show up in the most expensive sets. I do have one ordered. When I get it I will make sure the thread has some energy.

  4. I just randomly check every day, and noticed these. It was just a lucky break. I’m sure they will restock NC. I think this is the first time they’ve offered it for sale.

  9. I have bought a lot less in 2018 as well. Mainly due to lack of substantial sales and interesting sets. As well as the current reselling environment forced me to be more prudent on what to buy. My current goal is to offload as much inventory as possible and wait for the right time, right place to re-invest the cash (not necessarily back into LEGO).

  11. Excited about this!!!Just placed my order. Kids are looking forward to it and so am I. I’m sure that we will be adding to it, but that’s what’s fun about legos..

  12. I think that the WVM post EOL performance had little to do with the WVM - and much more to do with the LEGO Toy Shop rehash. That decision has slammed the breaks on many valuations - Gone forever, Gone Forevermore.

  13. I didn´t want to say anything but there is more than a little WVM in this set in terms of mini builds and price point and we all know how that set became subprime post EOL.

  15. I’ve read enough complaints about FBA from sellers on here and I’m too small scale to really use it so I’m happy to stick with FBMe.

  17. Regarding the ice rink, I can't help but feel that its inclusion forced a non-preferred trade-off (in my opinion) to the other builds within this set. I would have liked to have seen the firetruck look a little more... 'complete'. That opinion could come from the fact that when others were posting pictures of the firetruck from 10197 Fire Brigade, my mental baseline got set. Now that I see the stock photo shots of the firetruck from 10263 Winter Village Fire Station, I just see it as "okay". It's not awful, but it feels kind of small and something feels awkward with the ladder (either in the way it would be used or stored, or where a minifigure would sit... I'm not sure what I don't like about it yet). I think the existence of an ice rink in a multi-set Winter Village display is a nice thing, but I would have preferred to purchase it separately, like 40262: Christmas Train Ride or 40263: Christmas Town Square. In fact, it would be nice to see more $9.99 seasonal sets to serve as add-ons to a growing winter village. The two sitting on the park bench I really appreciate. I love the saxophone. It totally reminds me of a couple years ago in Marco Island Florida during Christmas where one of the tenants of my folks place was playing Christmas music on his sax. When combined with the street light the bench scene provides a Hans Christian-Anderson kind of look/feel. It's appropriate and can stand on its own as a nice inclusion to an overall multi-set Creator Expert Winter Village. I will be purchasing this set for my wife, it's an annual tradition. This set has more that I like than dislike, so that's positive.

  20. I'm sure some stores might let you walk out with a box, but it'd be full $3.99x60 + tax. eBay might be the most common path to a discount, but MinifiguresPlus (also on eBay) is a trusted source and offers us a discounted deal directly, so they're the #1 choice for many of us. The discussion above is sharing rumors, haven't seen any official distribution yet. Once we know how many sets are in a box, MinifiguresPlus can also quote what it would cost to buy just a set of 22 rather than a whole box.
