  3. Hello, This discussion has been going on behind the scenes for a long time. Jeff has been working on an update for the site for awhile now. He is trying to simplify it and streamline things. The true value of this site was never the data, but its members. The real good information is scattered throughout the forum pages and threads. As I stated above, the non-US markets are a completely different animal. While the UK markets are somewhat similar to the US, the non-English areas are very difficult to filter out information. Add the currency differences and you can see how complicated and confusing it becomes. While I am not speaking for Jeff, I would rather see a site that has the US prices updated quarterly on a consistent and accurate basis. Trying to do it every month is a waste of time in my opinion. The LEGO secondary market and its members have changed over the past decade. Prices have stabilized and only a few exceptional sets will explode in value and those are readily discussed on this site. Month to month change is minimal with most LEGO sets. I appreciate your offer to volunteer, but that just be more work for Jeff and many people just don't care that much to be quite honest. The non-US markets shadow the US market close enough that one could make an educated guess to the value of their LEGO sets. They might be a few % points higher or lower, but they (for the most part) follow a pattern. The bottom line is that there is little in the way of financial return to Jeff (or I) with the current secondary market situation and affiliate earnings to invest more money into acquiring data from around the world. It sucks...I know, but Jeff and I will always try to do the best for the site and its members.

  5. Every few years i upgrade my phone, and i always sell the old one on ebay. Most of the time it's to 0 feedback accounts, never had any issues. It could be just a bunch of new people buying around this time since tis' the season for new iPhones, so lots of people selling old ones. As others have said; signature confirmation and insure it. As for making sure he knows it's carrier locked - if you have it specified as such in the listing he can't use that as a reason to open INAD case at least.

  6. You can get three garment laundry bags for $1 at Dollar Tree and stick them in the wash on gentle with towels, but it will scratch the bricks. Alternatively, you can wash them in the sink in the garment bags using a salad spiner Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

  9. Wow even Charlotte is panicking? Here in Raleigh it's full on bedlam. Grocery stores are cleared out & long lines at gas stations. I guess people remember Hurricanes Hugo and Fran. I stocked up, ready to hunker down. Wife & I can get caught up on some movies & season 2 of GLOW. Hopefully flooding is not bad. Best wishes to my neighbors in North and South Carolina. Stay safe this weekend.

  10. Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think the price guide will eventually move to only values from the United States, like it was at the beginning of BrickPicker. Values from outside the US have always been difficult to acquire and aggregate. Many times there are language issues/conflicts that affect the way the information is gathered and utilized. Honestly, there is just not that much demand for these values outside of the United States. There is another issue as well...money. We have never charged anything for the data, but it costs us a substantial amount to obtain it. Affiliate advertising has changed tremendously over the past decade. eBay basically pays us nothing from what they did 10 years ago. Target is done paying us. Toys R' Us never paid anything. Skimlinks and Amazon are what basically keeps the site running and that is barely enough. The US secondary LEGO and reselling market is much larger and viable. This is just a fact. I wish we could give you exact values for all 10,000+ sets in the database, but that will never happen with data from outside of the US. With the differences in currencies and languages, it is just too difficult to make the non-US data perfect. Unfortunately, it would take a substantial monetary and time investment to make this work. This investment is not a worthy one at the moment...Sorry.

  11. THE "LITTLE" WORKHORSE Mini Build and Free Instructions Hi everyone I've created a mini version of The Old Workhorse, made up from just 82 bricks. I've made the instructions freely available under the "Updates" tab on my Lego Ideas page. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a2ec583-9836-4868-8dc7-6b3bb0a2fe80/updates#content_nav_tabs Please feel free to use these instructions and have a go at building the model yourselves. The only thing I'd like to ask in return is if you could please support my LEGO Ideas project whilst you're there. Hope you like this fun miniature version and enjoy building it.

  16. I am not a star wars fan. I have no merchandise, collectibles, pops, figs or whatever, besides what I have for resale. I’m meh on OT, PT or the new movies, they are just disposable entertainment for me. I own the clones wars seasons. I own no other animated series. Content matters.
