  6. I'm still baffled by the seemingly overwhelming hate for this show. As migration pointed out it made pop culture and what was conceived as geek / nerd culture cool. Gotta also remember this show is 12 years old and a good bit of time before a lot of cable and streaming shows that kinda revolutionized how we look at tv programming came out. It was meant to be sarcastic and make fun of ones self which a few here seem above and was way ahead of it's time. Plus whats wrong with some immature fun comedy every once in awhile. Have some damn fun. Sure people on the outside of bper seeing people call there stash portfolios and meeting their quotas would make some be like wtf. It's a toy we buy to either build or hopefully make some money. As for that Lord of Lego dude. Yeah no clue how he calls himself a Lord when he's always one step behind someone that likes birds. But hey we all have our flaws and I like the dude.

  7. Interesting. Good potential for a future honey hole since that’s the last place I would think of to find Lego.

  13. Quick update for anyone involved in giving feedback. I shot him a message and gave my (truthful) sob story about the commission situation and how the portion he's requesting is a vast portion of my earnings. Turns out he's human, and has changed his request to $50. Still wants a refund for a nonsense reason, but it's digestible now anyway. Going to run with it, my time and 100% feedback is more valuable... can always make $50 on the next sale. Again, thanks for the feedback everyone.

  15. You'd think a show with so many LEGO references and pop culture themes similar to ones discussed here would be more popular on this site. Oh well I'm no scientist but Penny can sing soft kitty to me anytime....

  16. just saw on reddit a manger at Michaels saying they will be stocking Lego sets in their stores. could be interesting with all the coupons they always have, but i’m sure they will exclude lego.

  21. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought there used to be a feature on the site where you could enter your zip code and it would pull up the Craig's listings in your area.

I need to make sure you all understand and agree on the lord part in my BP name, there’s no other point of view! for those that disagree, I’ll big bang you when I catch you on the streets till you see stars so you can count them. Add, subtract, whatever...lol i never watched the show, I had one lego set iirc and I think it sold last year.

  26. Dealing with the general public for 30 years on a daily basis, many people are asleep. People are focused on their phones and social media accounts. While the internet is good for some things, it has turned people into zombies who pay little attention to themselves or their surroundings. That being said, I have to say that the members on most LEGO fan forums are above average in intelligence and are quite aware of the dangers we all face.

  28. Don't put too much into an internet name. My email is evileddie666, yet I foster homeless animals, plant trees, believe in global warming, and donate thousands of dollars to needy people and worthwhile causes. You have been a valuable and contributing member for a long time. It would appear you are having either a "brain fart" or a bad day (s). Either way, we forgive you and let's move on...

  29. The 10213 is a great set - I have some stored away, and based on the recent re-releases, I am not too worried about needing to move them. I would like to see a modular quality level series of sets for Harry Potter buildings - Starting with Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, which could be great in LEGO, with so many fun details to work with.

  31. Tough call. With the rumor of one coming, I'm tempted to buy the buildings as I have all the figures and hope that they use some different buildings in the new set. On the flip side, other than the Weaseley's shop, what other buildings are recognizable enough to put in a new Diagon Alley set? Can't believe they haven't made Pt. 2 of this with newer buildings. I'm still sitting on a few of these in hopes a new one comes out and there is renewed interest in it.

  32. End of book 3. What idiot thought it was remotely ok to put the room of requiremnts in the dungeon ?!? 4 sheets , about 70 stickers . I’ll post my thoughts on it once I’m done building

  35. One thing about this show is that it normalized “geeks”. Comics and collectibles were frequently featured, there was almost a full episode about building a Lego Death Star. Whether the show was funny or not is simply a matter of personal taste, and frankly not all that important. The free advertising for all the overpriced stuff I sling on Amazon was priceless.

  36. Imo think they should of made it like ewok village off the ground on some type of platforms all connected to give it the sense that its in the air. They should of made the landing pad to fit the ucs slave 1 the minifigures are cool maybe you can use them as pillers to hold the model in the air lol. Just wish TLG would start making more modular type sets that you build up into a complete model instead of charging say £300 for 1 set they could split that up into smaller sets like they do with them magazines. Release a new set or few each week or month desinged to be collected and connected to build a massive model not saying they shouldn't make big exclusive sets just might be a new way of releasing a big set and could focus more on detail for each section of the model. I know they do it with some sets but they should focus on doing it more on the Sw theme sets. Sent from my SM-G935F using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

  43. I made a $650 sale via Bricklink that included my only two Piggy Pirate Ships (163% gain), all four Riddler Riddle Racers (460% gain), and my only three Nexo sets, Jestro's Volcano Lair (59% gain). What makes this sale more notable is that it pushed my "cash on hand" total to over $10,000 for the first time ever (combined PayPal and actual cash). I'm stacked on cash for the next round of Walmart price drops, but that isn't coming........ Not sure how my $10k stacks up against others in this hobby (and it doesn't matter), but I feel like that's a good landmark and makes me feel like I'm coming out ahead on this. Someday I might even tell my wife how much cash on hand there is! Knowing that within 24 hours of that announcement, there will be someone at the house generating a quote for new floors on the main level.
