  3. Not today, but I sold my Sandcrawler for $350 on ebay a few days ago. I bought it while it was discounted to about $286 on Amazon. I listed it during a "Pay only $10 if your item sells" promotion so that is good! At this point, I am just looking to unload my lego sets and free up the cash and space (without losing any money). I'm moving my money to a mutual fund/stocks. The buyer didn't have any feedback, but I shipped it anyway.

  4. I found 2 in one display. Both mid-way through stack on first & second rung of left side (marked red). A good indicator that a rung hasn’t been tampered with is the plastic retention disk (marked yellow). Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

  9. I’ll be quite curious to see what the Xmas killer will be this year, generally all themes dry up to pump out more pushed themes. I don’t think HP or JP won’t be them

  10. Not a series I’m interested in personally , but I think the Harry sets all look pretty good. Retail supply here will probably be limited , so should help values in the future if investing/Christmas flipping is your thing.

  11. Thanks for that link. There are lots of options on that site, if you can find them. I found this one down the list from the one you cite: https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/willa-arlo-interiors-perkins-coffee-table-wrlo5614.html. No mirror on the bottom, but my wife likes it and that is the important part.

  12. My Wal-Mart has finally reset toys (shelving and price tags anyway) and is in the process of stocking the shelves. I asked the toy manager yesterday and he offered zero help... "I got 13 pallets back there guy, I got no idea"... I'm sure he'd been asked this 100 times already. He seemed stressed out so I left. Went back today and he wasn't there (somewhat thankfully, he seems to give me the eye like 'I know who you are', of course that could be my own paranoia... lol). Today at least there were two gals from a nearby small-town store that were farmed in to help work the inventory. They listened to my plea and I was surprised that they both put down their scanners and went in back to look for me. They'd said a couple young guys were also asking about them a bit ago. Unfortunately, they came back empty handed but I was very thankful they at least took the effort. Got to love small-town Iowa. They said there were 5 pallets all still wrapped in plastic. If that's accurate it went from 13 yesterday to 5 today, hopefully by evening it's all stocked. Another unfortunate part of this story is that I ran in to those two young guys who were asking earlier. They looked like they rode their bikes there and were prepared to just sit it out and wait all day... must be nice being 13 with some lawn mowing money and nothing but time to kill while you watch and wait... At least my work is fairly flexible and I'm 10 mins from the store. I'll check back at lunch or after work.

  13. Hey guys, nice to be back. Almost forgot my password its been that long! Just caught the tail end of your discussions with some serious lego discounts on Ghostbusters stuff and the like. In the East of Melbourne, Big W shelves stripped clean of harry potter products. Small castle was dumped at $119. I do understand there will be another shipment landing at one of the Major shopping centre stores close by. What's your take on the new range? I was a dedicated collector of the last series. I'm thinking the quiddich one could be good. But also leaning towards the new fantastic beasts suitcase. The large castle I have not seen anywhere yet.

  14. There be whales here! I got lucky on a Craigslist pick-up on these (was first to call) for $150 each with manuals (they were listed for $120 each). Someone from Maryland ran up the price on me, so if that's you, say hello so I can glare at you across the inter-tubes. These are personal builds for the kids and I, the last holes in the Modular collection.

  15. Hello All, This is only my 2nd post, so hope I'm in the right forum, but my local Barns and Nobel had a bunch of Lego in the clearance section for 30% off, Brickhedz and Nexo for the most part, but with the extra 10% membership discount they seemed to be a good price. All of their stuff starts at RRP.

  29. March 30, 2018. This is a date that will forever be remembered. I can get a little emotional at times. As an adult, there are a few instances when I've shed a tear. I cried when my son was born. I cried again a year later when my daughter was born. I cried tears of joy when my beloved Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl 31 after three decades of mediocrity, and again when they won Super Bowl 45. The last time I cried was two years ago this April when my Mom passed away. March 30, 2018. Today is another day that I've sobbed like a baby. Upon waking up for work, I checked my phone like I always do. Waiting for me was a PayPal notification. A large one. I checked my Bricklink account, and it appears that some blessed soul has decided that they needed some Steam Rollers in their life. Yes, some Steam Rollers. All of them. 27 to be exact. Gone. Purchased by an unknown person. A risk taker. A gambler. A guardian angel, perhaps? I began this saga with over 50 of those Steam Rollers. I'd sell one here, one there through multiple platforms, slowly chipping away at that number. I whittled it down to 27. Now I have 0. They are gone. The purchase price was just a shade over $1k. I'll make a few bucks on each one after the usual fees and shipping, but that's not the point in this circumstance. The nightmare is finally over. March 30, 2018 is my Independance Day.

  33. I'm Tom Alphin, author of The LEGO Architect book. For the past 6 months, I've been working on a new in-depth guide exploring LEGO Storage topics. I'm pleased to announce that my LEGO Storage Guide is ready for people to enjoy (and give feedback.) The guide is extensive, with 10 chapters and around 50 pages of free content: Section I: Organizing, Sorting, & Storing LEGO Bricks — The guide walks you through the process of understanding your LEGO collection, exploring different ways to organize your collection, great storage solutions for a LEGO collection of any size, and additional tips and tricks. Section II: Displaying & Storing LEGO Minifigures — This section explores some of the best ways to show off and protect your favorite LEGO minifigures. The guide is informed by detailed surveys of around 200 LEGO enthusiasts. The data analysis helped me prepare LEGO storage recommendations based on the size of your collection and other factors. The guide is well researched... It contains results from a detailed LEGO Storage survey with about 200 responses, learnings from interviews with top LEGO builders from around the world, and recommendations based on numerous articles, books, and forum discussions on brickpicker.com website. LINK: http://brickarchitect.com/guide/ I hope you enjoy reading the guide, and I can't wait to hear your feedback! I will continue improving the guide in the coming weeks, and am tracking your suggestions for future improvements in the acknowledgements section. Sincerely, ---tom P.S. I'm eager to hear - what's your favorite LEGO storage product?
