I hope your tongue is firmly planted in your cheek. HP is going to be the largest winner for LEGO in a very, very long time. I'm not claiming I'm predicting that because it's embarrassing to call that a 'prediction'.3 points

Finally got round to sourcing all of the bricks required to build this. Substituted some of the non black bricks with black. Quite happy with the end result.3 points

Did you really mean to write "used"? If you bought this for personal build, then the box condition shouldn't matter as long as everything inside is okay. Maybe the seller will give you a partial credit for being a dumba**. If you bought it for investment, why are you buying high value current sets below market value from individuals on eBay? That's a risky way to use your investment dollars.2 points

Well, if there's no train then perhaps the station retiring makes sense....1 point

If you're looking for filler items at SAH to get over the $99 threshold for the free nutcracker, all of the accessories that are on sale show up at 50% off when added to your cart. Upscaled mug, notebook, minifig frames, key chains, Ninjago weapons, and even the Friends minidoll set.1 point

All things being equal, I would agree that the train is the one to go this year...but I don't know. What's the stranger situation? A train with no train station, or a train station with no train? I could see TLG retiring the station first, as it would seem a bit odd to have a train station available to purchase, but no train to put with it. And if this retires, look out. Three years of train sales with 1 year of train station sales? This set could challenge the post office and bakery rather quickly, I think.1 point

So for these type of LEGO sets we have the Darth Maul bust, Yoda, R2-D2, BB-8, and now the Porg. Although I can really freak people out with the Darth Maul bust, I would still want that or any other of these more than the porg. Like some one else said, I'm not sure they really captured "cute." Guess I'll need to see it in person but I don't see me "needing" this to complete my UCS collection. The polybag sized porg LEGO gave away a month ago or so is much better imo. I'm almost curious if someone were to do a poll as to how many would buy this day 1, on sale, or never. Could this be this year's "Assault on Hoth" winner?1 point

If you’re looking at the box face on, 4th from the back, first row on the left. Also, if you believe in bump codes..I got 3 and they all look the same. Just saying.1 point

target is clearancing skiff so its pretty much a sure thing. all many of the sets on sale have been clearanced at walmart which for me is a very strong indicator of impending retirement. many are already oos no more webpage at target. several sets are already retired in europe. a few sets had very limited availability and quickly went to call to check. i'll leave it for you to figure all those details out. perfect reseller scum storm/dream come true for recent clearance hoarders if large percentage of these sets go EOL before the holiday selling season - especially because the annoying reservoir of slightly above msrp on shelf stock @ TOYS R US is out of the game. ? in store stock of many of these sets is already very thin at target and walmart. things could get very expensive very quickly if we see some surprise C2C. already trying to figure out what i can do (e.g. what flavor pie to pick up) to make up for my next binder.1 point

The “why” someone buys something doesn’t matter, nor should it for a SNAD claim when the seller lists the condition as “near perfect” with original box and makes no effort to protect the shipment. “It is in nearly perfect condition. Comes with all the pieces as well as the instruction books and the original box.” Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Yes like many others here it's been a mix of changing priorities (real life job and family taking up more time, less sales, the declining Canadian dollar (not as much buying south of the border) and frankly it takes too much room. I still check Craigslist every so often to add to my used Lego collection but haven't bought any new stuff for awhile. Sales are also quite slow (although this past month I've moved a number of mid range sets). This is the first time I've logged in for a few months now!1 point

I used it to purchase LEGO SW Rebels Phantoms, 75170. Nobody else has had them in stock since December. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lego-star-wars-the-phantom/5854205.p?skuId=58542051 point
