In my opinion the The Super Hero Girls theme has a few hidden gems. One of them is 41230. I just bought 70 of them from one seller who was trying to off load them. I'm all in on this set. When everyone else zigs, I like to zag. I'll be making it rain with all of the Benjamin's I'll be raking in off of this diamond in the rough. Mark my words. You heard it here first.8 points

Yesterday, I sold 70 41230 from the DC Super Hero Girls theme. Someone out there wanted them. All 70 of them.2 points

I’m telling you, he is an 11 or 12 year old boy sitting in his room and trolling everyone. With all this extra attention and a WHOLE THREAD dedicated to him he will be rolling on the floor laughing his head off. Just seen that . Couldn’t see any LEGO store myself , only “authorised “ resellers.2 points

On another note...almost cannot believe my eyes...So keep rubbing...anyway the forum seems to have enough of Tabby and is having a thread to discuss what to do with the cat.... Ted2 points

They're addictive when they get cheap enough. Do I need 30 Target pollys at 75% off? No. Do I want them? No. Yet, somehow, I wind up with 90 of them, every time.2 points

We will just have to MOC a Microscale Hogsmeade and have a pathway from the Whomping Willow to the Shrieking Shack.1 point

It would have been cool if there were some passageways. For example, a chute that went from the bathroom to the chamber of secrets. Or a secret passageway from the third book which went from a room to the outside of the school. The type of thing where a nano could just fit it and fall to the bottom. Just a pipe dream but maybe could be modified into the build itself Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Yeah, sales are so poor. ? Quick, kill that theme before it makes money! We need to make production space for UCS Porg, Tron, Brickheadz, Aston Martin, and other brilliant decisions.1 point

Text FREECASH to 56278 for $5 in-store. Some stores have a $50 back on $50 purchase delivered in 2 $25 installments instead of the $60/3 offer. SD is reporting that paying online with Masterpass can earn a $25 or $30 in points back. No minimum. YMMV and might have to contact customer support.1 point

Love it. Better than expected. When I heard it would be microscale I was a bit disappointed. I knew one with a bunch of figs could never cover everything, but I was still never a microscale guy. But this is an excellent surprise, the interior is much better than I thought. I figured it would be a great looking outside but would be solid on the inside, maybe a room or two. They did a great job with all the rooms, covered quite a few of the important ones. The inclusion of the 4 founders is good (where them printed arms tho...?) The only thing that is a bit strange is it doesn't look like there is a Hagrid microfigure, and, in my opinion, Harry, Ron, Hermione should have been included in the minifigure stand. Should have been exclusive figs w/printed arms but that would have made 7 real minifigs so I can see why they didn't go that route. It will be interesting to see how much it weighs. Tons of tiny pieces my bet is it weighs about the same as 75159.1 point

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate that. I generally don't buy gifts on eBay in case someone wanted to return it but we're 5 months to the day until Christmas. That's outside the 30-day return period at most retailers anyways... At least with retailers if there's an issue I can more easily return it and get a different one. Not sure that convenience is worth $80 (15% of RRP). I'll ensure it's a reputable seller and go this route, thanks again!1 point

Yes, that was my point. I was hopeful for this and they came through. I doubt anybody could have predicted who they ended up selecting for these figures. Sorry if my wording was bad.1 point
-
Wow. Better than expected. Would prefer something more to scale but understand the obvious limitations for that to occur. Was hoping there would be some exclusive figures and Lego probably surprised everybody with the selection. Will it be a Day 1 purchase? Maybe. But it will be purchased.1 point

TRU Aspley - was pretty barren last night, still at 35% off for Lego. Only Brickheadz, Aquaman and Salazar left, Jyn Erso Buildables, Jedi & Clone Trooper Battlepacks, Imperial Battlepacks, Resistance Transport Pod. Everything else gone - no friends, elves, city, creator. ninjago, marvel, dc, juniors, duplo, even nexo knights it's all gone. This affirms my thoughts on the popularity of Star Wars.1 point

Profit? Yes. But you had to bundle a number of bad decisions in order to complete the sale. Now you just stored two lucrative sets (HH & FB) for 5+ years for a final compounded annual growth rate of 4.12% - and that assumes you bought those towards the end of their life and you paid zero to store. Meanwhile, @cladner is printing money selling 70 piece mermaid sets that retired 6 months ago. Yet, you still continue to warn us every 14 minutes how the sky is falling.1 point

LOL. Dude, seriously give it a rest. I mean, c'mon, your advice is to completely ignore the second largest online market entirely? We get it, you suck at lego reselling and hate eBay. Give it a damn rest already. There are thousands of businesses that are full time on eBay and make a very good living at it (many of whom I know personally) get over yourself and shut up.1 point

Well, after all it seems that the Red Darth Vader Prototypes had value !! I sold one on auction and one on second chance offer (Ebay) the first one sold for $510 USD and the second one for $500, both plus shipping.... also I sold a Black Pearl for $600 USD plus shipping to a person in HK. It was a good weekend......1 point

I bought a house, and I have a lot less disposable income for LEGO, especially on the investment side of things. And as others have mentioned, there haven't been many worthwhile sales (especially since I moved from Alberta). A lot of items I have need to mature, so I'm not actively selling at the moment. I'll probably re-stock my Bricklink store and EBay listings closer to Christmas, but going forward, I think I'll re-focus my purchasing for myself and my family. Really, hoping we get a new Republic Gunship with the new wave of Clone Wars sets.1 point

Must be desperate times in the LEGO offices when they feel the need to include paper-based gimmicks to sell sets in their retail life. A limited run of a James Bond minifig poly would have been better.1 point

My son won the Hedwig statuette as a contest award at our target. Stickers on bottom: LEGO Production s.r.o. This product is designed for public contact This is not a toy. For indoor use only Product name: HP Owl on Book Product No.6258073 Production date: 15.05.2018 1435 I assume the last number (separate sticker) is some sort of sequence number in the series, the date is in euro format. Any idea as to the value of such a thing? Not interested in selling, just curious as to rarity, collectability, etc. It's very cool, and my son is a HP fan and will enjoy this very special addition to his collection!1 point
