  1. Well, after all it seems that the Red Darth Vader Prototypes had value !! I sold one on auction and one on second chance offer (Ebay) the first one sold for $510 USD and the second one for $500, both plus shipping.... also I sold a Black Pearl for $600 USD plus shipping to a person in HK. It was a good weekend......

  2. LOL. Dude, seriously give it a rest. I mean, c'mon, your advice is to completely ignore the second largest online market entirely? We get it, you suck at lego reselling and hate eBay. Give it a damn rest already. There are thousands of businesses that are full time on eBay and make a very good living at it (many of whom I know personally) get over yourself and shut up.

  4. They're addictive when they get cheap enough. Do I need 30 Target pollys at 75% off? No. Do I want them? No. Yet, somehow, I wind up with 90 of them, every time.

  6. Profit? Yes. But you had to bundle a number of bad decisions in order to complete the sale. Now you just stored two lucrative sets (HH & FB) for 5+ years for a final compounded annual growth rate of 4.12% - and that assumes you bought those towards the end of their life and you paid zero to store. Meanwhile, @cladner is printing money selling 70 piece mermaid sets that retired 6 months ago. Yet, you still continue to warn us every 14 minutes how the sky is falling.

  7. Finally got round to sourcing all of the bricks required to build this. Substituted some of the non black bricks with black. Quite happy with the end result.

  18. Perfect! I like the rightmost one the best. Perhaps instead of a 1x1 trans-clear plate you can use a trans-clear cheese slope to create the impression the light is angling up? EDIT: never mind, upon closer inspection I see you already did this... Just didn't notice it on my cellphone screen.

  19. Alrighty then, second attempt. Haha. Here we go. The outer poles are 4L bars while inner two are 3L (for variety sake as usual). I tried spacing them all evenly as I could hence the 1x2 tiles. Coming up with spotlight designs at this fixed angle was odd until I recalled the 'claw hand' minifigure utensil thingy. It does bring the light fixture out to one side or the other but looks fine I think. (It worked with Grand Emporium.) A close-up of each design. I used a single stud with open hole at the base of each for extra grip between jumper plate and the bar. (Note, LDD really does not like multiple connections with these bar pieces, at least anything involving the jumper and open stud anyway, seeing how when I load up the file after saving, a popup window states some parts were connected improperly then gets rid of them without actually telling me what was removed. Ugh.... Moving along.) I imagine the spotlight concepts from my prior attempt would work here as well thanks to the claw connector. Although four lights are used, three or even two would look good enough depending on the spotlight design chosen.

  21. Search for DIY Goo Gone recipes. Usually a mixture of baking soda or Borax and an oil. Best to test the recipes on a box you don't care about too much first before using it on one you do.

  29. My son won the Hedwig statuette as a contest award at our target. Stickers on bottom: LEGO Production s.r.o. This product is designed for public contact This is not a toy. For indoor use only Product name: HP Owl on Book Product No.6258073 Production date: 15.05.2018 1435 I assume the last number (separate sticker) is some sort of sequence number in the series, the date is in euro format. Any idea as to the value of such a thing? Not interested in selling, just curious as to rarity, collectability, etc. It's very cool, and my son is a HP fan and will enjoy this very special addition to his collection!

  36. March 30, 2018. This is a date that will forever be remembered. I can get a little emotional at times. As an adult, there are a few instances when I've shed a tear. I cried when my son was born. I cried again a year later when my daughter was born. I cried tears of joy when my beloved Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl 31 after three decades of mediocrity, and again when they won Super Bowl 45. The last time I cried was two years ago this April when my Mom passed away. March 30, 2018. Today is another day that I've sobbed like a baby. Upon waking up for work, I checked my phone like I always do. Waiting for me was a PayPal notification. A large one. I checked my Bricklink account, and it appears that some blessed soul has decided that they needed some Steam Rollers in their life. Yes, some Steam Rollers. All of them. 27 to be exact. Gone. Purchased by an unknown person. A risk taker. A gambler. A guardian angel, perhaps? I began this saga with over 50 of those Steam Rollers. I'd sell one here, one there through multiple platforms, slowly chipping away at that number. I whittled it down to 27. Now I have 0. They are gone. The purchase price was just a shade over $1k. I'll make a few bucks on each one after the usual fees and shipping, but that's not the point in this circumstance. The nightmare is finally over. March 30, 2018 is my Independance Day.

  37. I picked up a 75930 Indoraptor at Lockwood Estate and when I opened it up, someone had very carefully remove and reattached the seals... No dinos to be found. The seals looked near perfect. After looking at them a little closer, I could barely notice some of the black smudged on one end seal. Stupid people of Walmart. Now to see if I can return it tomorrow...
