  2. Looks like this one is recovering nicely from pretty much everyone selling them for $13. Less than 100 sellers on the bay. Could we see $50 shipped by the holidays?

  4. How, when he stated that he was buying for 19.99 and sold for 18? Thats some crazy awesome math there. I would also add the he and sellers like him are the reason for stores tightening up return policies. How many 9515 did he buy, brag about, then freak out and return badgering some poor retail employee? Just like emazers had a large part in eliminating lego from B&N coupons because he abused them on a massive scale. They are the ones that give resellers a bad name and need to be called out on it.

  8. Hey I'm all for a nice quick flip. Just don't post 25 times ripping people for doing it and talking of patience and holding then do the same damn thing for less profit then the original flippers you were ripping.

  9. Fast forward to today "All sold for £18 each in one hit, £3 profit each. No point keeping them since they're everywhere with no limits. " Classic Tabby oh btw they did move up retirement to 2018 from 2019...

  11. It´s telling that noone even cares to talk about WoN in the WoN thread! More telling that 36 pages of this 37 page thread are from pre launch.

  14. Last JW world film was pretty much a one drop scenario. This time it looks like Lego pulled their finger out and allocated significantly more stock, and probably over-produced. Not too good for resellers.

  15. Up to you but insurance is going to be less than $10 and provides another backstop against damage or loss in transit before it reaches the forwarder. For a transaction that large I'd consider it worth it. I had an international buyer on a large order claim I sent damaged sets. Having pics plus referring them to the domestic shipper with insurance and their freight forwarder, who repacked the shipment, staved off a formal claim. It was worth the cost up front to avoid more hassle.

  16. So you are partially responsible for the demise of TRU, or banning you caused them to go bankrupt, either way

  17. I have never had a problem with a freight forwarder but there's a first time for everything. You shouldn't have a problem because you are shipping the item to an address that is verified by PayPal.

  22. Actually having all the extras would entice one to "play" with it more often than just leaving it on a shelf to gather dust. I don't know.... I see Lego collections where there are so many sets buried under shelving and I question the hobby. Lego is meant to be played with. Lego designers attempt to add functionality and playability then the online community attacks them for it. If you want an accurate scale model of a real life object then Lego is not it. There are much better options that may even be more affordable.

  23. Sold one of the very first sets I bought in this Lego investing hobby. Bought a full price, no freebies Tower of Orthanc at full price at the Lego store. Sold it today via Bricklink for $229.00. Netted a cool 3.30% profit after fees. Could've been worse. Only one more full price ToO to sell.
