Prime Day worked out pretty well for me. It arrived yesterday in a giant box. And as Jackie Chiles once said in open court.... It did not survive the transit in one piece, but the seller was a fool for even trying. It was dusty from being on display, but everything looked to be in good shape. I subcontracted the teardown process to my 2 year old. He had fun taking pieces off and putting them in the 2 gallon bags. The whole thing fit easily in a 12x18x18 box, which surely would have been cheaper to ship for the seller. Once we finished ripping it down enough for it to be bagged I tossed him in the tub and he got a popsicle for being my helper. So this gives me now a pair of 10221 SSD's. I'll flip this one at some point soon.8 points

Thanks! Finally got a shuttle tyderium 75094 at effectively tax-free RRP. I hope the seller makes some money, it's a win-win for us both since I missed out when it was on shelves.2 points

This is all true also I have a tiny giraffe train set we paid $55 for because it was out of print and my 3 year old was in love with it and cried about it for a week until we finally ordered it.2 points

The door is ajar and Walmart is nowhere to be found. They could have capitalized on this big time but didn’t do a thing. eBay, too zzzz Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Hey everyone, So I had this vision to build a very small minimalistic black tiled frame that would be mounted behind my sets and lifted enough to be scene above the set. (rough sketch attached). I was curious if anyone had any idea on how to build these? Or have seen any sample builds out there? I figured I'd ask before I just jump in and start from scratch. I tried googling some, but a lot of them featuring gluing bricks ON existing frames and thats not what I want. I want to build something simple, all out of legos. That can "pinch" the print in a frame somehow. This frame does NOT need glass, I just need something that will hold maybe a 4"x6" print in place around the edges. My idea was to pop this design behind various architecture sets to document when I go to these places. Sort of like a personal touch to the set and my travels. The sketch should give you a better idea, thanks for any ideas! Frame idea is obviously in red. - Scott1 point

Duplo trains are best Duplo 'investment', but it's a roll of the dice---not a sure a thing. I've done well in the past with unique Duplo train pieces, (like the bridge from 2006(?)) but the hold time can be loooooong. Basically, you'll need to wait for a greater fool to come along.1 point

This is a nice logitech speaker system for 29% off. I have been using a system that is probably 10 years old now and still sounds amazing. https://amzn.to/2JxpJKT1 point

retail stock has finally dried up. lowest fba price of $92.79 is already double the price of target's recent $46.23 clearance and more than double when factoring in red card discount ($46-5%). this was my favorite TFA set and i'm guessing ultimately the top selling one given how long TLG kept it in production. under 100 sellers but have to see how many come out of hibernation come October-December. also wondering if anyone got these for $5 as listed currently sold out on walmart.com website ? hopefully can get back to t hose heady late 2015-early 2016 prices before the next remake. wah -weh.1 point

I see nothing tempting. 20% discount is too tiny to work with unless you really believe in the set. Certainly the adult collector market is microscopic. Kids of the Duplo age are not old enough to create the "I want this!" demand that would prompt parents to pay a premium for a specific set. So you would be looking for the parent/grandparent that convinces themselves that this is the only Duplo set the child will want... and that he/she will not quickly outgrow the toy.1 point

The dog thing is really annoying. What about cats and tropical fish? Maybe a parrot would be nice. How about a cute Guinea Pig?1 point

My 300 unit tie striker fleet bought at 34.99 is looking pretty good right now. I felt insane still ordering tie strikers days into the target sale... but its an easy 25$ profit each at this point. I wasn't really around during the "golden days" so i can't really compare the two. However, whenever i can make 30% or more on a purchase with a relatively short hold period. I consider it a pretty good time. These being around 70% profit makes it pretty golden.1 point

Maybe those lube offers are coming in thick and fast again. In Europe it´s been a mixed bag with nothing in Germany or Italy but some really nice deals in other countries.1 point

Last of 13x 44029 Queen Beast vs. Furno, Evo & Stormer that I found at a couple of LEGO-selling Hallmark stores in January. Their LEGO has been on sale for 25% off all year. They clearly seem to want to divest of their LEGO inventory, but they're stuck with Constraction, Nexo Knights, Chima, TMNT, and Joker Steamrollers. Buy-in $27.81 and I sold them for $70-$90 each.1 point

Well if they've read for any length of time here, then they'll surely be aware that they can safely ignore Tabby.1 point
