On 5/21/2018 at 12:07 PM, brickvoyeur said: Well, now the UCS catch up list is sitting at a cool 1 item. Rolling the dice. Listing says the sets are complete and if nothing else the images show the rare parts are all there. 7191 X-Wing and 10212 Imperial Shuttle for $332.99 Clearly parts of an AT-AT (8129) in there as well, as well as small pieces of 10221... I guess in case my last purchase goes awry. So I finished my inventory. Shuttle was missing 3 pieces which I had on hand. 10240 ship itself was missing 11, which equates to a $5 bricklink order. Lots of missing parts to the stands, but I had more than enough technic spares to put them in the pile and complete that inventory. Surprisingly both plaques were there. So didn't do too bad. Whitened the pieces so everything is shiny. Lots of other random parts that don't equate to much, but it never hurts to have spares. All in all it worked out well. One day after the newborn starts sleeping better at night I may be able to slowly pick at building these over the course of a month.6 points

Oh no, you are not alone. My daughters the same way. The only time I know she's alive is when I get a text I'm hungry or what you cooking? Is it our faults, I guess to an extent, but I'm not sure. These kids nowadays want everything now and done for them already. Every summer I worked for my fathers buisness and the only time I didn't work was because I was at football practice, school, or lifting. I also played a great deal outside too. Some of these kids, they see sun and are like vampires begin to melt. I'm also a teacher, So I teach HS kids during the day and College students at night. This year, the college students were super lazy. They were too busy watching someone game fortnite than play it. I'm like what is the joy in this? Here's is what I got as a response- "This person is amazing, watch him" So- I appease them for 30 seconds and I'm like, nope not for me,I would rather play the game. If I let them go the whole night, they would sit there and watch that person play. I'm like you're paying an insane amount of money to be here and learn from me, but you would rather watch someone play a game on your phone. So be it, it's your dime and time, not mine. This is why we are going to be doomed. Uggh, the joys of guiding these young men and women. lol What I've been doing of late- is taking my daughter with me to work on our rental buildings. She leaves the phone in the car and we work together, it's a lot of yelling and telling her to stop being lazy at times, but it's better than her being a slug in her room, or on a couch or in the pool. lol I believe you own a carwash or two, maybe put the child to work, even if it's a minimal job, gets them away from the phones, Ipads, comps, tech, etc, etc. . Not sure of his age, but I remember being with my father on jobs when I was like 9 or 10. Work ethic gets instilled when they are young, and every little bit helps. Ok, off my soap box, or LEGO box. lol5 points

Shouldn´t be too hard to figure out who it is - there can´t be that many people on Ebay selling Lego AND used dildos.3 points

Don't forget to leave negative feedback. The saga of the smashed Slave 1 will go down in history as the best SNAD case ever.3 points

I'm probably going to start using "My dad works for the FBI" in all my online correspondence. It's pure gold.2 points

In my opinion, LEGO can keep their posters and save some trees.1 point

And I'm starting to think too many people think this stuff is worth more than gold... but without the understanding of how to pack it. Wrapped it in black plastic and slapped a label on it. I'm also positive that my post office must be full of rabid hyenas. Found this on my doorstep yesterday. Thankfully the seller refunded immediately and asked for a few more pictures as he purchased postal insurance.1 point

05S8. I bought mine in the sale. This set will be do ok as it has avoided Amazon and most other retailers, so rare. Also good for parting out the animals - some are only in this set.1 point

This morning, I fixed the cages of my dog for my big Labradors for them to fit into it. well, I'm thinking of having a new cage for my dogs because everytime they get bigger I need to adjust the cage, so upon searching, I saw this large dog cage which has a Size of 54" L x 35" W x 45" H. It's big enough even for the tallest dog the Great Dane.1 point

By the way ... The following statement appears on these envelopes: "This packaging is not for resale. EP13F"1 point

Now it's a blame game for falling profits. Resellers were the first group to feel LEGO's wrath. Now it's people like The Brick Show posting a few "confidential" pictures of sets. Who really cares? LEGO is punishing those who help sell their product the most. LEGO should embrace anyone who helps promote their products.1 point

I spent this morning building a pirate scene by combining some baseplates, three pirate sets (6253 – Shipwreck Hideout, 70412 – Soldiers Fort and 70413 – The Brick Bounty) and some mini-builds from the Fun at Beach set (60153). The letters that spell Dad were a Father’s Day present from my daughter. The build was a family affair with my son choosing a spot for the shipwreck set, my daughter placing the fort set and my wife suggesting the colors for the wave MOC for The Brick Bounty. The artwork on the boxes was a huge help for set placement - what part of each set goes on land and what goes into the water. For the waves MOC I opened the 10697 Large Creative Box I have been saving. I made a place for the back of the ship to rest on and an opening for the rudder. The Brick Bounty must be careful in the area because one ship has already gone down! While building it I saw the shark from one of the sets and my mind wandered to a scene in The Lego Movie, “There were sharks, laser sharks and then there were more sharks!”1 point

The face now has detail to look like one from every angle. While unfortunately on the side of masculine at this scale such cannot be helped. Anyway for all we know Lady Liberty may have some distant relatives from Easter Island. I am inclined to agree. A sticker could function at least from a straight frontal view, however soon as you start turning the model the awkwardly flat face is there again.1 point

I dont think that it would be sought after in some massive volume (like you could resell later 10+ sets), but having e.g. 1-2 would probably earn you some interesting gain.1 point
