How funny, you sound like me a year ago. I was in the exact same boat, re-discovering my old sets and wanting to piece them back together and sell them. My goal was also always to keep profits and put them back into Lego (whether it is for personal builds / or more investment sets). So far it has worked out quite nicely. I've definitely managed to keep these funds as separate play money for Lego and I like that aspect a lot. I ALSO went deep with used lots, and I would agree with you that option 2 sounds more exciting. You will find people on here though that HATE buying used lots and sorting them out for resale... and they have a valid point. It is tiring and can take a lot of time. Fast forward to me a year (and a half) later, I still have used lots to go through that I bought when I started. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret the purchases and there is still a lot of profit to be made... but they are slightly daunting to tackle. So keep that in mind when going the route of used lego... There will ALWAYS be another used lot you think is worth something and it takes discipline to pace yourself. It can add up quick and then finding the time to sort through it all can feel intimidating. I do a little bit of both currently, hit up the clearance sales and pick up sealed sets to sit on, and then I have my used lots to still piece out. I still love to inventory, sorting, building, taking good photos, and selling these used sets so I am content right now.... but it does take some serious patience at times, so I understand people who dread it. Advice would be, option 2 sounds more exciting to me and seems like thats where you are gravitating towards anyways..... just pace yourself haha.2 points

I´m missing the photo of 75215 Swoop Bikes but it can be found on a popular video sharing platform If I am not mistaken that makes 7 sets for the Solo film - on a par with Rogue 1. No buildables since they have been cancelled and maybe a couple of microfighters in the winter if that series carries on. I´d say these sets are more interesting than TLJ ones, which were mostly rehashes or boring movie scenes.2 points

His feedback is 1, so a new seller. I informed them that on the 21st I will need to get eBay to settle the case as we were unable to come to a resolution. The response back was "SALE IS FINAL!". I'm just going to let him believe "no returns" means "no returns", and look forward to the response I get when eBay provides me a shipping label and a refund out of his pocket.2 points

I saw there was no thread for that gem so I have decided to create it. Hope that`s ok? After one year of production and limited retail in Germany that big boy is finally sold out. What are your thoughts about it? I really appreciate the massive playability of that set.1 point

I think the "train" is a bit of a missed opportunity, but I like the Hauler. Enough to buy it though? Probably not.1 point

Always okay to start a thread. And major kudos for following the right title format (60162 - Jungle Air Drop Helicopter) so I don't even have to fix it!1 point

To give credit where credit is due. At least these are new, original sets and not the usual remakes we have been getting recently. Having not seen the film yet, it’s worrying that the quality seems to be going downhill and contrary to the way that the prices are going. I have a really bad feeling about Cloud City. Looks like the B Team are working ok SW1 point

^The price? Nothing is more likely to damage a minty fresh box than air pillows. They are only good for keeping an item from moving around but then why are you shipping empty space in the first place - it costs money. Those things are harder than rocks so when they receive an impact the force transfer on to the next weakest link eg the lego box. I am sure someone has done extensive testing on this but for me the best solution is always to cut an exterior box snuggly down to size, at most with a layer of bubble wrap round the lego box to avoid scuffing.1 point

I got a $20 on $40 on a $0 purchase, so I think No minimum1 point

Swung by two stores for giggles this afternoon, only actual LEGO left are buildable Jyn Erso's (lots), and polybags. Also, both stores Thur/Fri had about the same size Dimensions stuff remaining (a lot) - And one store was completely wiped out, the other still had basically everything left. So even at 70% off this stuff isn't moving which... Doesn't bode great for packs in the future, but we shall see. First time really, seeing the stores so empty and condensed I kinda had a tinge of sadness over the whole thing. Certainly the end of an era. Interestingly, both stores have different closing dates, one is Wed next week, the other is Fri next week.1 point

I spent the day with my favorite mini-fig building the Palace Cinema in these sweet new matching shirts!1 point

Father's day build: Managed to build the entire Silent Mary yesterday in between helping with 1mo twins. 3yo helped with minifigs. Pretty cool set. Was too late to the game to compare to QAR or BP.1 point

Built 75933 T.rex Transport today. The T-Rex may look a little bit weird because it's still sealed as I'm not going to keep it. The truck is quite nice but I'll try to exchange some of the black parts for dark blue if possible. I love the Zia Rodriguez minifigure, and can see it being a normal citizen in any LEGO town or an employee in a natural history museum. And the baby dino is cute.1 point

Am I the only one who wants a large brachiosaurus Dino? I feel like it could come with two jeeps and the brachiosaurus.... perfect nostalgia set and brings in a massive new dino Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum mobile app1 point

Why not? If people are just buying the knock offs from eBay, LEGO might as well be the ones making the money by bringing it back to life. R&D costs is already absorbed from the original release. A re-release just going to be the cost of materials. Sounds like an easy way to get more revenue with minimal effort.1 point
